Molekule Air Purifier

I have yet, after several months of trying, been able to get the air purifiers to connect to my phone/app. even though it says they're connected, I cannot control them from my phone. Additionally, I can't schedule automatic filter refills because they were previously owned. even though the previous owner has deregistered them and even talked to a rep. Very dissatisfied with the app. The air purifiers themselves, I like.

Absolute garbage, I'd give it negative or zero stars if I could. Unit absolutely refuses to connect to wifi network, even with it and the router and phone all next to each other. This could have been so simple. Make the filter change reset possible on the unit without the app, make it possible to control and reset the unit with just the wifi connection between the unit and a phone, no connection to the network required; give the unit a Bluetooth connection to the phone instead of wifi.

it's hit or miss whether it works or not I have to keep uninstalling it and reinstalling it in order for it to connect to the devices I had to go into the router and assign permanent IP addresses for all of them that helped a little bit, and the reorder filters option keeps telling me that my devices are already registered with another account therefore I'm not able to order replacement filters.

Edit: Bugs fixed and still very impressed with the Pro. When entering in the correct password to connect a Molekule Pro, it NEVER connects to Wi-Fi even when there are no other devices connected and a high speed connection is available. This has been happening for 6 months ever since I bought the purifier. I should have bought the Dyson. Cleans the air superbly though!

Love seeing how my air quality changes throughout the day and it's very convenient to change the mode from my phone instead of having to walk over to the purifier. I will say that one thing I miss about the previous version of the app is seeing in-the-moment individual pollutant levels on the app. Right now I think it's only on the purifier display. But I am excited to see what features will be available in the next update.

Back up to 4 stars. Yes the app is buggy. Yes it's geared more towards iOS. But...the company is quick to respond to any issue I've had (and I've had a lot....I own 7 Molekules) They're constantly updated and fixing bugs. If you're having issues, send them an email. They WILL get back to you within a day. Excellent support. Just don't forget about us Android guys/gals.

The Molekule app is garbage. The company sells premium air filters for hundreds to thousand dollars but went cheap on the app development. The app does not connect to the air filter, then work around is to use wifi connection to the device, and then through the connection to air filter connect to your wifi! Not best practices for security. Once connected it still loses connection and app can't connect again. Stuck with this P.O.S. app because I bought the machines. I regret all of it. Sad.

App is atrocious and regularly loses connectivity with paired purifiers. Unfortunately if youre reading this youre already saddled with a unit and now a captive audience. It's a bit beyond the pale that with an app out this long there still is not a stable version of it. I'm using a Samsung galaxy phone, one of the most common lines of android devices, and one would think a high development priority.

Needs "Off" button in app! ... has on and all the stage buttons but not off. It would also be good to have the room size selections in the all so you can confirm or change it if you move it and forget to set it. Wish there was a setting between Auto and Boost... Boost is just soooo loud!

This is a horrible app! It never connects to my molecule mini! Constantly disconnect from my large molecule this thing is an absolute nightmare! You pay all this money for these purifiers, and they do not work properly with this app! Haven't you milked us enough for money!!!!! And horrible customer service by the way!!!!

Worst purchase I've made in a long time. App doesn't pair, had to jump through hoops to finally pair, but it's unable to connect to WiFi afterwards. Air unit keeps restarting when set to boost. A true piece of junk app wise and the unit.

Worst app ever. I tried for several hours to connect my phone to the filter only to find out the app has a terrible history of not connecting. The company should invest in the app as much as their products if they are supposed to work together. Someone from product development should be fired at their company and get tech involved.

UPDATE: App connection has been solid after resetting the filter per the instructions on the website. I couldn't connect prior to that. App was very difficult to pair with Air+. I had unplugged and re-plugged the unit several times while trying to get it to connect. Almost gave up on it, given the number of bad reviews the app has received but then I reset the Air+ per Molekule's website. After I did that, I was able to connect the app to unit. Reduced stars for level of difficulty. Android 12.

UPDATE 12/16/21: I gave this app another chance 3 years later and still the same issue. App will not connect and cant even remove the device previously stored. Using Pixel w/ latest Android. The app just shows a spinning cursor for hours. Worse app ever. Refuse to pair with Molekule device. I can pair with the phone but not through the app. Getting a message that it can't find the device every time. Even if the phone itself pairs with the device the app still doesn't recognize it. It's useless!

Simple app mostly useful for checking life of filters, refill status, and changing mode from auto/boost/silent. It lost functionality for the dark mode setting and button taps are no longer registering.

The app doesn't work. Buttons don't activate. Form fields are covered by the keyboard. It's impossible to set up refills. It's very pretty and totally unusable.

The app constantly disconnects from the purifier and I have to remove the purifier and re-add. I just got the purifier about a month ago and already had to do this about 6 times already.

After hours and hours on the phone I got a call from a Chris I believe in Colorado. We went through several of the things everyone has made me try and came up with installing the app on my wife's phone. The unit immediately connected and even though the other unit was unplugged at the time it saw it as being there. Since its connected now my phone works well with it.

Complete junk! App will not work. It finds the air purifier, and says connection is successful, but will not advance further. We purchased 3 of these filters, and will be returning them all. With as much time as this app has been unuseable, it should have been fixed by now. Given the fact that it hasn't indicates a lack of intention for quality, and the company won't likely stand by their products in general. The best headache is the one avoided...do not purchase Molekule.

When I initially set up, the air pro connected to Wi-Fi and was able to be controlled with my cell phone. This lasted 3 weeks when something happened and no matter what I try, I can no longer control or access the purifier with my phone.

Incredible air filter, horrible app. 75% of the time the app won't connect to the molecule and only way to get it to connect is by disconnecting filter from app and going through the whole reconnect process. Barely worth not just deleting app from my phone.

This is a terrible!! My Air molekule works perfectly fine, but air mini +....it is a disaster. Just exchanged and asked customer service to send me a new devices since it could not connect to the app....still same issues, can not detect the device...not sure what to do, to throw them into the garbage or Molekule will refund the money 😠😠😠😠 Spent at least 10hrs on the phone with customer service over a period of two months!

Updated - Removed all 3 of my purifiers (Pro, Mini +, mini) Uninstalled and reinstalled the app & attempted to re add the units. Not one of the purifiers will connect to the internet via the app. This app is absolutely worthless. The purifiers are amazing but when you consider how expensive they are, it's absolutely unacceptable to have an app that performs this poorly. Don't install this.

This app initially did not work. My Air Mini+ was stuck on "updating".After contacting Molekule tech support they managed to help me with getting this to update and now works as it should. I can now use the app to check air quality etc. One improvement I would like to see on a future update would be to set timers. So when away from home I could set it to switch on at full power to clean the air. 14/01/2022 - Update- can no longer access my Molekule on the app. 😢 20/02/2022 app now working.

This review is for the app only. I LOVE my actual air purifier device, but the app is a nightmare. The app is absolutely terrible. Poor connectivity with the device(s), and a poor interface. It takes a ridiculous amount of time to start up, if it even does, and often just shows a loading screen. My advice? Hire a competent coder and designer. Create an entirely new app, and phase this one out. This one is irredeemable, and singlehandedly sours my experience with this company.

In addition to the persistent wifi/connection issues, it would be lovely to have app notifications when a filter needs to be changed. -- Whatever happened in the November 2021 release needs to be fixed. It won't even load our Molekule devices, so I can't tell if I need to change any filters. I have to assume it's still cleaning but it renders these devices somewhat unusable.

Buyer beware!! Product does not work as advertised!! Bought as a Christmas gift and shopped early to avoid shipping delays. Now the product doesn't work as advertised and they will not accept the return since we are beyond their 30 day policy. Most companies extend returns during the holidays

Total joke. Device that is supposed to be controlled by App does not. Tried to fix using Molecule support with no success. Bottom line, good product (???) NO SUPPORT Basically a out of control problem/product and Molecule does not care at all.
