Momento M6 Dash Cam Viewer

Far too many dollars for this experience. Audio and video of the device are good. The app is a nightmare. I've had to download one incident five times, set it up to take the clip (after a 5 min download) and it doesn't work. The only way I can get it to work is to DL the entire clip and move it to an editing app. And EVERYTHING the app does is incredibly slow. I need another cera for another vehicle and I'll be looking elsewhere.

Only connected once or twice in several months, and had to put my phone into airplane mode first to make it work. It will connect to my Galaxy tablet though. I'm on Verizon service. I don't get the message about not having internet service. If I go into my wifi settings, it shows that I'm connected to the camera, and Saud that it doesn't have internet, but I don't get a separate pop-up message. Tried deleting and re-adding, same results. Only able to connect in airplane mode.

Would rate a 0 but can't. They need a fix for Android 12. The couple times I've been able to look at videos they have great quality. However its annoying that it usually doesn't connect. I've warned people away from the product because of it.

The camera footage, when it works is stellar. The software and app completely are garbage. As a long term programmer. I'd say hire new programers. Basic features like connectability or Android always saying there is a big and deleting the cache is the only solution. Then it will not load up until deleated, cache cleared, restart then reinstall. It's a shame it's so terrible and they just apologize and release broken updates. It's better to take the chip out and access it elsewhere.

Whopping 500 dollars with installation. It bugs me that for 300 retail,it doesn't detect people,box said "shock" AND motion detection."Misleading. when I turn my car off I lose wifi,in order for me to have access to the app I have to have my car turned on for some reason,however the camera is on when the engine is shut off.cool gadget. But a lot of weird kinks.since I can't return it I will use it the best I can.if a CSR can respond,it would be apprectiated. i'd write much more but out of room.

The app it self works fine never had any issues with connecting or running the app, until my phone updated to Android 12, updated my phone 2 days ago and since then it no longer connects to the app. Everytime I try it opens to the title screen and then immediately shuts down. Does not get to the camera screen. Gives no reason just kicks me back to the phone menu. Hope this is fixable.

I figured out how to connect my phone to the camera so that's good. But the app is buggy AF. Often randomly disconnects from the camera and the app crashes every minute or two. I also can't download any videos to my phone, it says it's downloading but then I can't find the files locally on my phone, and if I try to view them in the app I get an error message saying the file cannot be played. Also, why is there no user manual for the M6? I can find manuals for other cameras but not the M6. Why??

No good: There should be an internal battery that deals with issues when power is cut, like WIFI connection, parking monitoring, etc. Heck, the battery could even be designed to be seperate from recorder to last several hours and keep WIFI on for 1 or 2 hours. Instead, we have to sit in a running car to view and download recordings? Next issue is that my phone connects to a dedicated hotspot when I arrive at my destinations. The cam should have the option to auto connect to the same networks.

I'm having a 5 star experience. I think it's sad people use negetive reviews as a way to reach out to the developers. All my functions are working as they are supposed to and it's giving me great peace of mind having it installed. Very easy to save videos and view later. My only wish list item would be if somehow the camera could have a link to my phone so I could use the live viewer when out of range of the camera Wifi.

I witnessed a hit and run and I can't give the cops the recording because the app won't load. I have a pixel 4 I can't open the app. It keeps closing before it opens. Very frustrating. In the past my phone had to be right next to the cam to open. I've uninstalled and reinstalled and took the system in to have it looked at.

Unable to connect Samsung S10+ to app. The cellular service I use with my S10+ is Verizon. Update as of 11/28/19 Due to the recent update my app now functions properly. It continues to say that there is no internet connection when connecting phone to camera however when I open the app and connect to the live feed everything works just fine. Thank you for fixing this. 2nd Update 2/10/22 Recently purchased the Samsung Fold Z 3 and my phone no longer connects to this app. It is very frustrating

Worst Experience ever...The Professional Installers cannot even figure out why my Samsung phone will not connect to camera. They have had similar issues with both IOS and Andriod. Its a hit or miss. 2hours in shop for install... No Go... The shop said they will refund my money, and will more than likely remove the Momento M6 from their Lineup... The Camera is probably good, but the Apps is absolutely terrible.. More Updates to come

I can not view videos I have saved to my phone unless I am in the car and connected to the device via wi-fi. Why!!! Now that I upgraded to the current version the app crashes all the time. Yes I have updated everything. I will never buy this companies product again.

I just got this today and the WiFi disconnects on its own. When it's connected ( and that's only happened twice) and I switch from the camera screen to the main screen it turns the WiFi off and never reconnects. I have a Moto Z Force 4. I'm not a happy customer since I paid an arm and a leg for this system and I'm going out of state in 2 days. How is it supposed to work properly if the app can't communicate with the camera?

Won't connect to wifi says connected with no internet never had a problem until now. Not really fond of the features my old dash came would save front & rear videos at the same time & doesn't take a long time to get back into once you download a video. I still have videos from my old dash cam that still opens quickly momento is slow & laggy. Park mode I have it for 24hr recording but it only records when I get out & lock doors then skip for 3 or 4 hrs start recording then skip couple hrs again

This is one of worst dash cam I ever seen I was using earlier black Vue and thinkware . Both are working fine. But I installed momento under dealer recommendation. He over charged me $550. But eversince I installed it doesn't work properly. Videos are like broken shots because it's internet is very weak unlike other brand dashcams wifi is connect once in a while. Every time I have work manually to connect it but still unable to connect most of the time in cellphone. This is purely a scam

I cannot access any of the filmed footage, the app keeps telling me to turn on my wifi and turn off my phone data... once I do that it keeps giving me the same error... not sure sure if it's the app it self or the camera isn't working properly? regardless this was a total waste of my 500.

The video the camera records is quality. However,you are not able to access your vehicle's camera on your cell phone when your vehicle's engine is turned off. Wi-Fi will not connect to this camera if the engine is turned off. This means you cannot review videos on your cell phone unless you take out the SD card and save the data then upload to your cell phone. For such an expensive camera, this is a major flaw... with this being said;my advice is do not buy this camera until this issue is fixed.

I have a Google Pixel 3 XL. The application will not stay connected to the phone, and whenever I start the car after it being turned off (overnight, for example), I need to redownload the app! Lousy interface.

When the app works it's great. Firmware updates are only sent through Apple devices. Android have to find someone with an Apple device to get the app to work. Most days app can't connect to the dashcam's wifi signal.

Won't connect to my galaxy S8+. I googled issues and fixes and still nothing. Getting frusterated. Tech support contacted me and in 2 weeks the only "tip" they could give me was to uninstall/reinstall app. Security patch level says Oct 1 2019.

I'm really happy with my purchase. compustar makes great products .I'm happy they removed the screen from this DVR and went with the wifi viewing. my only issue I'm seeing is wifi viewing goes away when you turn ign off .

App crashes all the time. playback is absolutely garbage wish I wouldn't of spent my money on something that only works half the time. App is up to date and so is the firmware.

Seems like it does not want to connect to wifi ive done numerous things and it does not seem to want to connect. Even restarted the camera. Seems like a waste when it doesnt want to work.

Having to sit in my car to use this app is silly. What is the wifi download speed? It is the slowest I have ever seen. Once I download a clip, I have to connect my Samsung 10 to my desktop to view it. No way to upload from the cellphone.

I can't give less than 1 star. Just got it, connected once at shop that installed it, then nothing. Mobil data on or of, still doesn't work. too bad. Maybe I can get a different model or get my money back. Car running for half an hour to install camara update, and put phone in airplane mode too. nothing. wish the place i got it had told me about the camera so i could do research befor install. will be calling him about something else and letting him know about the pos he installed.

Go through loops to try to look at file. Have to keep trying over and over again just to link to files. Keeps telling me to link to wifi

Hi , yesterday I just purchased the momento dashcam, installed the app has a difficult time getting on to view. Then this morning im home for three hours trying to get on live to see activity live on my phone, to view, tried everything, turned on /off wifi at home not showing M6 at all, sitting in my car with data on not working either this needs to be fixed asap as I need this camera viewing. I didn't pay alot of money to purchase camera for nothing. Disappointed.

Cam is great, app is tough to use. Doesn't seem to work at all with Android 12. Very tough to maintain a connection to the camera. Wish it could use BT instead of wifi.

I have 2 android phones. One running on Android 8 and the other 9. Neither works since this update. Email Firstech about problem and they didn't respond.
