Momentum Smart Thermostat

The thermostat has a tough time connecting and staying connected, but this is about the app. The app used to work fine last year. Now a year later, it will not work half the time. Sometimes it turns the heat where I set it, and sometimes, it sets it to 94 degrees Fahrenheit. I'm sorry guys wish I could be more positive but it is what it is. I know your response will be please contact support on the momentumcam website and you will give me the email. Is anything coming of that or is it pointless

Look for something else. Pros It functions as a thermostat and turns the unit on and off. The app can turn the unit on and off. Cons Never reads temp accurately. This is the worst part. No Google assistant. Touch interface needs work. No updates in almost a year. I got this thing at like 70% discount so I guess it works for the most part but the fact that it almost never displays the temp correctly even After calibration 50 times is a huge bummer. Won't be buying momentum brand again.

A few months ago, app stopped working. Always said offline. I uninstalled, reinstalled, unpaired the device, re-paired it again... nothing, so haven't used app in months. Finally this week they updated the software on the thermostat itself. I noticed the splash screen looked different, so decided to try app again, and it magically started working. Took them long enough. I learned my lesson about the wannabe smart thermostats. NEST is the best smart thermostat....always works like it should.

This was an absolute horrible smart thermostat, I returned it within a few days. Wouldn't stay calibrated to the correct temperature (jumping between 81 and 66 degrees) and it's also not compatible with the Google assistant anymore so it's even worse without that. Also their customer service is 100% terrible. They weren't in any way shape or form helpful.

Done. Struggled with this product & app for over two years. The concept was simple: A basic thermostat, allowing remote access to the home environment without oversight from the NSA, CIA or the Google overlords. But, it has never worked as advertised. My thermostat is one of the faulty ones that loses 15 degrees every time the fan comes on. "The Next Big firmware update" was supposed to fix that... That firmware has been promised since March of 2020, and still has not been seen. Abandonware in every sense of the term. Additionally, the unit forgets the schedule every time the power goes out.. Now, this weekend, remote access to the house no longer works from any device. Uninstalling the app, and reinstalling, you can't log back in at all. Tired of dealing with it... buying something else, anything else, today.

It worked fine for about a week & now its been stuck for days. Customer service couldn't help & I've uninstalled, cleared cache, forced stop & nothing. I really tried with this product.. I even got the c adapter to make it work. The thermostat works but this app is just not cutting it. The purpose of having a Wi-Fi thermostat is to control it through your phone. I'm returning this before my 30 days are up on amazon.

It used to work great. Now it doesn't let me update my temps. Won't connect with Google home anymore. Wont let me sign out and back in and wont let me unbind . And is essentially useless. Its like whatever service the app connects to is permanently down. If you reset the themostat it trys to check for update but it doesn't connect to anything.

App is limited, missing most of the settings options on the unit. Actual thermostat does not function correctly though. Even after calibrating unit, temp indicator will drop 10 degrees or more within 1-2 minutes as soon A/C kicks on. Original White Rodgers thermostat sitting next to it still indicates the current correct temp (10-12 degrees higher). Have reached out to support via email and so far no response after 5 days. Will be returning and sticking with Honeywell if no response soon.

app will not work. i have Samsung Galaxy Note 8. i registered. said successful but needs to be verified. after several times of pressing resend to get the same thing finally the second time. the emails you send say bad link please resend. your app is sending bad verification messages with bad links so now i have bought something over the nest and im very disappointed about this

Hard to pair device. Tried many times and finally got to pair. Shortly after pairing, now shows device to be offline. I've checked and clearly device is online and working (ish). App will not stay connected to device and have to constantly sign out and sign in and or uninstall and reinstall app to get to work (ish). Need to fix that problem ASAP!!

thermostat works. app doesnt. i keep getting an invalid password error when attempt to log in. Tech support is terrible. i recieved an email the next day after i explained what was going on and the response was delete app and reinstall. I did that 6 times no luck. still waiting on next response from customer support. i returned it back and purchased a nest. works like a charm.

Worked for months and then it stopped letting me login. Cant even reset password. I called cust support and no updates from them. My a/c wouldnt work and I cant help but think this is related. I reset the thermostat and made sure not to connect to wifi.

Hmmm. If you calibrate the temp reading on the Tstat the application keeps reading the temperature prior to the calibration (!?). I wasn't able to find an indication, on the Tstat or the application, that the HVAC unit is actually up and running. It would be nice to have those two issues fixed. Thank you.

Don't ever buy this! Screen burnt out in less than a week! Try to set the temp in the app and it won't hold anymore. Complete garbage! Of course I threw out my old thermostat already. What a disappointment. Out a hundred dollars because I can't find the receipt. Awful awful product, thanks for wasting my money.

This abhorrent POS is just as flawed as the product it's intended to control. We've already returned and replaced the unit once, and will likely be making a return to switch to a system that ACTUALLY works. Despite typing the password perfectly, the app continues to say I have the incorrect password, and persists even after password changes, and across multiple devices (my phone is android.) My wife can log in on her iPhone, but for her the QR scanner wont work so we're still SOL. 100% trash

Install simple but had trouble with wifi connecting took me 20 minutes of try over and over to get it to connect. Works fine now I can control thermostat from my phone. After a few weeks of using the app on phone I noticed when I change temperature on phone it says operation successful but it won't update on thermostat meaning I can't control from my phone please send out a firmware update to fix this problem

ABSOLUTE HIDEOUS PRODUCT. Temperature is not reading properly. Calibration does not work!! I purchased two of your thermostats, whenever I try to set any of them up with google assistant, an error message displayed on the link and I can't complete the set up. Is there any way that it can be fixed,and refunded via your company?

A thermostat is designed to heat or cool to a set temp. Well this thing can't do that at all it is nothing more than a paperweight i only had it for about two months and had to reset it three times. It would overheat one day and underheat another. Dont waste your money on it.

Hello. I bought two of your thermostats, but whenever I try to set it up with google assistant, and error message shows up on the link and I can't complete the set up. Is there any way that it can be fixed? The device itself is lovely, but I need it to work with google.

Worked for a few months. Now won't turn on either manually or through the app. Temperature won't show up correctly on the phone even after numerous times trying to calibrate it.

Worst thermostat and app i have ever installed and i have been in the heating and air business for over 25 years. Accuracy of stat is so far off that my house was never a constant temp. Wound up replacing with a honeywell pro temp 6000 wifi stat that is working the way it was designed to.

says my email is already i use although i have never used these products before edit: customer service is beyond poor kept sending emails to do the same thing over and over that did not work. gabe no solution to app not working. they didnt even offer to sey up the account. developers should take this app off the market period.

If I could give zero stars I would. The app is continually not allowing us to log in multiple times per month. The temp read out is always off. It keeps forgetting our schedules. I will never buy another momentum product again.

Can't actually set any settings in the app. If you do set the temp, check a few minutes later, and the temp you set it to will have changed back to a previous setting... Or turn off entirely

app doesnt work. i set timers and they got erased and reset to the factory timers it comes with whoch i never even turned on. So i came back to a house that was 85 degrees rather than 73 like it should have been. . i emailed this company 2 days ago and have yet to get a reply. taking this back and getting a refund so i can get a thermostat that actually works.

The product is barely functional. There is NO QA department. Support, despite what the person replying to all these reviews says, doesn't respond if you contact them by email, and you have to wait four hours on hold to get one. They don't call you back if the call drops. They have had a development issues with the Google Home login to link the device for a month now, where it redirects the user to 127.0.0.1 (your own loopback address), so smart features are effictively gone. Just return it.

The web site is dead.. Having trouble, thermostat and app not updating, AC not working. Removed the app, reinstalled the app. Can't log in, can't register. Tried to reach the website on laptop, site is dead..

The thermostat works great. And looks great. The app worked for a while. Now it won't make any of the adjustments I set. So I have to do it manually.

To your Reply, it has nothing to do with the setup of the Thermostat. It's the thermostat itself and the software to run it. WORST APP AND SMART THERMOSTAT EVER. DO NOT BUY.

The app dont work at all . I force stop alot of times ,I uninstalled and installed alit of times . I can't delete my device or add a device . I logout and can't log back in...its useless.
