3. MONDO enriches your Japanese vocabulary and helps you learn through its “smart study” capability:
- Your Wordbook: Words you look up are automatically saved into your wordbook. This creates an automatic dictionary of new words you are learning, for future reference and study.
- Word Test: MONDO can create automated quizzes for you based on the words in your wordbook, to help you truly learn the meaning and the kanji.
4. MONDO includes a Japanese English Dictionary:
- MONDO’s onboard dictionary lets you look up words “in app” without resorting to browser-based translation programs.
- Words you look up in the Dictionary are also saved into your wordbook, further enabling your mastering of reading Japanese.

Seems like a good app but misleading in that it is definitely pay-to-play type. Most features are restricted unless you are willing to pay. Clearly a trial version, not a free version.
It's great but a few minutes later, it crashes... I tried to restart the app,Nothing. I tried to re download the app, Nothing. I restarted my phone, STILL Nothing! I loved the app but this is annoying, I wish you can fix it...
No search function, can't sort by difficulty (at least couldn't find it) and word test "next" button wouldn't work, so testing my knowledge became a tedious back and forth to the main menu. Don't waste your time.
It's a really great app. I like the fact that you can say what article's you like to read instead of just a bunch of random articles. I do wish they'd make it easier to get to your bookmarked articles though. Other than that it's a really good app.
The design makes it quite annoying to select stuff since some stuff you may want to select is overlapped by something else, and I don't want to make a twitter or facebook account just to read an article, pretty disappointing since I heard so much positive news about the app
I like it a lot but since the Teacher-learners' chat is limited. Hopefully, there could be a longer version soon. But then, I still like it and use it. The plan won't work on my phone I don't even know why I tried to click it but it doesn't have any response. It keeps on closing.
Some bugs in the app like flash card testing... but overall it is good for reading practice.
Great app i can learn from japanese teachers but for some reason after a few chats it wants me to pay in order to continue my left conversation to my friend. It was really good but disappoint me since i cannot reply anymore to my japanese friend 😔💔
It's a nice app except now when it's not allowing me to view my messages. It's always giving me errors. Please help

I am really happy to found this app. I am really rarely pay for apps, but now I did, I purchased the gold membership, because of the extra features (especially the unlimited chat with teachers), and because I really wanna see that this application gonna be finer with updates. I gave 4 star, because I wanna tell my opinion, and I wanna point out where and how this app could be better: 1. If I tap on words, sometimes it does not pop up english translation. 2. I would be happy to see next to the word (at pop up) its frequency (like frequent, common or rare the word is...), and if it is possible to make somehow " most used context option" for words. For example at the word "tooth" there could be an option to see "brush the teeth". 3. I would be happy to see different kind of word-games for memorizing the bookmarked words. I would be extra very happy for "Export to AnkiDroid" option for bookmarked words! 4. It would be cool to allow users to comment on articles, and talk below articles about it. Anyway I really enjoy this app, the teachers are extra friendly, everyone reply very fast, chat is very nice, and the overall design also perfect. I really recommend it to everyone! Thanks!
ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE WITH THIS APP! such a good hassle free intuitive interface that works so smoothly. The articles toughness is also not intimidating! The only thing so far that poses some sort of problem is that it's kanji search feature only allows upto 2kanji characters and not 3. Eg - 報告/ 報告書。 Please fix that. It is definitely going to improve my japanese reading!

Soo helpful for studying real life kanji on a daily basis.
Easy to use app. I find the autoscroll, the characters per minute index, the built-in dictionary and the translation features very useful. I'd find even more useful an offline version of the app (with the possibility to update when an internet connection is available).
Very useful for learning new vocab, though sometimes there is no definition available for certain words that I highlight. Considering that's rarely the case, I give Mondo a 4 :)
it's a good and interesting app however it has a lot of bugs and in need to be fixed. it always crashed, sad. i would like to pay for the premium if it would be fixed AND IF IT WILL ALLOW TO BE USED OFFLINE so that I can practice reading and listening japanese ANYWHERE and ANYTIME
