This is a terrible experience with the app. It is the worst banking app I have ever seen. I can't even login through my email and mobile number. There is no way to contact the customer support through the app. They have given my email ID to someone and they are telling once it is registered they can't take it out from their system. I don't recommend this app to anyone. Use starling bank app, which more easier and secure than this one.
It worked fine. Now there is a 'technical error' when trying to access certain functions of the app where it freezes. The customer service directed the issue to 'specialists' and since then silence. I have substancial losses due to that. I documented everything yet do not seem to get any reaction after several contact tries. I am short from pressing charges... Make of that what you want, I am not sure if that is intentional. Result is the same. I hope this is an error and will get solved...
Pretty poor experience. Went through all the process, set the account up, ordered a card, all fine so far. Then I needed to verify im at home, I am at home, gps puts me at my home, but your app says I'm not, so a bit of a waste of time really. I'd like a contact address so i can close the account and have my data deleted from your database
Worst communication. They just don't care abt the customer. I had to write them mails almost 7 to 8 times just for one thing , still no reply. Also I ordered my card and paid delivery fee 2 times but still no card arrived and no support from team......It's good in starting but after 7 or 8 months it's the worst app, even for premium members.
the best thing is : you can exchange money for free, and there is no limit. I hope they will never change, otherwise I'll go elsewhere. customer service is hardly reached. overall, very happy with services
The app isn't very intuitive... But what really upset me is the referral program. I received 1/3 of what I was supposed to receive. They have set dinamic amounts. When they have low referral count the amount is big and one the activation of the card is getting close for many users the amount drops till.... Rubbish company....
DON'T DOWNLOAD THIS APP OR OPEN AN ACCOUNT. I am a new customer who signed up a few weeks ago. I was told that my account is blocked without any given reason. There have been no steps or instructions as to what I should do next and how to reopen it. After browsing the internet, I found that this is a common issue and that I should contact support. Contact support were horrendous and still haven't got back to me. Don't open an account it's a waste of time.
The app is extremely glitchy! Most recently, you cannot view your direct debits, it's just says "Error, please try again later". I've been trying for the last 3 days, how much longer? If it's not rectified, I will be making a claim against them for money debiting my account without the option of stopping it ...
Pretty happy. It does what you need. The app is easy to use and gives you access to all your services and plans, at one click distance. Fingerprint works. Confirmations work. It's fine. One little suggestion would be to add the possibility to start the app in private mode and then change if I want to. The "shake" functionality is really out of trend.
App works well but if you need customer support about anything just forget it - there is none. I thought I'd reactivate my Monese account I had a few years ago when living abroad and ordered a new card which could not be activated in the app like they said, there was no option to do this only order a new card. I sent numerous in app messages and emails about this issue that were all ignored. Even tried several phonecalls to customer service which were not answered. Account now closed
I have a new phone, and my account was blocked after I installed the app! For security reasons...... great. All my other banking apps (local&international) run perfect with no login issues!
I am trying to get back on the app, I re-installed because I didn't get any features including account number. my card is on its way now. but it's been impossible connecting with the same email address and the phone I registered with.
Have had monese for 2+ years, great bank but since last update the app doesnt even open like 80% of the time, i try to open, use my pin / fingerprint and it just stays on the blank screen with the logo in the middle. Please fix
Fed up now, the app is down completely so can not access the account at all which means can not Access my money and the customer service is closed from 5pm. And not open weekends, absolutely disgusting Edit 27th May 22, Bank app down yet again now stuck as I have no way to transfer money to main account for shopping. FUMING
Monese used to be good. I have used revolut, wise, starling all great. I changed my email in Monese and it has ruined my account. It never fully updated in their system and now they refuse to help or to talk to me. Their support is absolutely abysmal. By far the worst support I've ever had
Stay away... i made a payment that was failed and they keep the money and say is on my account... customer services 0. I wait on the phone over 2h someone to awnser no awnser... on the app after 4 days i got a stupid reply and close the case... still mising my money
Out of all banking and finance apps this is the most easy to use, very clear and gives you all the tools to help you save, invest and build your credit rating even. Great and easy also to transfer funds between accounts.
The worst bank ever, closed my account and there is lot of balance in account, received email and ask me to provided another bank account for them transfer the balance to me, I did give bank acc number to them 2 weeks ago and no more response, been chasing them by email everyday for 2 weeks but no reply, try to ring monese but there is no option to speak with any operator, fantastic bank!!!!!
Do not open the account: they blocked my account without any justification and prior intimation. However the problem is not to block the account but the disaster is when they not bother to reply you on any single mail. I am just sending them emails that when you will transfer my amount but they aren't replying. I am really struggling because my all money was in account. I used this app around 2 years and everything was good but it's worst.
Must everyone that open the acct be charged a monthly fee? can't there be other options? I wanted to use it to save money daily and My first savings was collected as monthly fee. very annoying.
I would steer very clear of Monese. I was once a very happy customer then all of a sudden they cut off my access with no explanation. I have been trying to get access back for over a month but with support taking days to get back to me and going over the same things that I have already told then I have done. I am fortunate in that I had no money in the account and I was able to divert my wages to a different account before they landed in monese. Stay well away from these crooks.
Can honestly day this bank has been great. Any problems have been resolved quickly. I use this card daily with no problems. Highly recommended 👌
They blocked my acces to the app twice and the email support is very slow (60+ days just for one answer), the debit card is fine so that when somebody steals my phone and my card is "assured" to use the card. One of the worst fintech apps. I want to erase my account but I can't do because only on app you can do this. They are breaking the EU data protection laws by collecting all kind of data including biometric data without any reason or consent and send to you from time to time spam emails.
I have my app blocked after i activate the new card, also i have another card i don-t remember the pin and i want to take money out from account. ( i can-t see the pin in the app) . I try to call at support monese to many times, i send lots of email, but no-one answer. I will do everything to get monese on the court to pay for every hour i lost waiting on the phone and all the pennys from my account.
Customer service is literally inexistent - if something happens to your money, there is nobody to help you. There is no possibility to open GBP single and joint accounts for EU residents, and no time line to when this is going to become possible even though the ads don't mention this little detail when they're advertising free RON, EUR and GBP accounts with this app. I could only open an EUR joint account, not even RON is available. Totally useless service.
frustrating, wouldn't let me continue after verifying my email, just kept saying they had problems connecting to my server. when I can't even be bothered to continue despite you offering me 50 pounds for signing up you know your app sign up process is a piece of trash
Annoying. Prevented access to my money following Uninstalling app and reinstalled. Now acces to my account has triggered an alert of fraud or something and my account is automatically blocked. Awaiting someone to contact me. Nothing for nearly a day now. Basically poor customer service. App is pretty good though when it works. Latest version not as simple as the old though.
