Support not even up to date with the newer versions of Android since they stopped supporting it over a year ago. App hasn't been updated in over a year and I'm not able to even use it as it consistently crashes when trying to download my information. Not to mention, no dark mode on this version but the iOS version does have it. Developer abandoned it's Android users
With Quicken going subscription, I am looking for something that will sync between my computer and phone, or something that works well on the phone. So far, this seems like the only choice for syncing, but it's horrible. It imported my Quicken transactions perfectly, but had some figure in the balance that didn't tie to anything (even though the opening balance, and transactions were all correct). The windows version did better, so I exported the transactions and tried to import them on the phone. The free Windows version only exports CSV, and the phone version doesn't recognize that. So there's no way to really do a trial. The phone UI is pretty, but not in a good format, and not customizable. I want transaction in date order. It shows them in reverse date order. It doesn't allow true split transactions. For my salary, I either have to enter each item individually, or have it bundle all the deductions into one amount. That would make it impossible to get any totals for the individual items. For me, the sync is the only the only thing it may have going for it. It MAY sync well. I can't find out unless I buy, so I can't say anything about that one way or the other.
I have been using this app for the better part of two years. My favorite part was that it was cloud based multiuser, and you don't have to directly connect it with your bank. I only gave it 3 stars because we have always had issues with the balance on the desktop version not matching, which is okay, just don't use the desktop version. Now, we keep running into issues with account settings and which accounts auto reconcile. It doesn't matter how many times we uncheck auto reconcile (multiple times a day) it reverts back, which creates a nightmare for reconcile and keeping an accurate balance across all devices.
I like the app and find it useful for managing my personal finance. I've been using MoneyWiz since 2013 and happy with its simplicity and functionality. Developers continue fine-tuning the app and adding new features all the time, which sometimes leads to annoying bugs and issues with functionality (as was recently the case). Nonetheless, developers and support are responsive and working hard to fix all the issues as soon, as they appear. Overall, great app.
I'm really pleased with this app. I've used Pocket Money for years but it's no longer supported on Android. I'm not interested in budgeting and prefer to add transactions manually up to a month in advance so I can't go overdrawn accidentally and can move money to savings accounts when necessary. The facilities are brilliant and I love the fact that I can use it on my phone or PC, as Syncbits is excellent. I had one problem of my own making and the response was excellent. It's worth every penny.
I have been using for a long time this app, and because I was very used to I had never change. But I'm tired of this app. A lot of bugs, especially if you try to use in more than one device, or use online updates for cryptocurrency. It dosn't work at all. Be alware that you can lost all your data syncing betwen devices. And good luck trying to get some support.
I personally really like it. the fact that you can download your bank transactions directly into the apps and work on it instead of reentering it. or you can import it from different sources. Big PLUS. At first I had some technical issues, however the technical team are on top of it. Lot of information and lot of potential that this apps can give. Many thank to everyone, looking forward to keep it for many years. Unless they reverse the wheel or sidetrack the apps to another dimension. Thank You
Great idea, awesome interface but absolutely poor synchronisation between devices. I'm using Mac and smartphone the same account but numbers never balance. I contact with support team they said it sync problem. I use it for last 5 years. I started from Money Wiz 2, never was problem at all. But now I have to spend lots of time for correct it. Really upset. Looking for a new app.
Wonderful app to organize your finances! I have been using the same app for 6 years and had to find a new one since it was removed from the app store. I'm very picky with these types of apps but MoneyWiz 3 has all (but one) of the features I want plus more!!!! Would definitely recommend!!! My experience with customer support was great!
I would recommend MoneyWiz to anyone considering changing their current budget system or starting a budget form the beginning. The categories to create a budget are so customizable you can make it perfect for your budget. I started this budget system recently after using quicken for the past several years and I am so glad I made the switch. The customer service is top notch. They were readily available and responded so quickly even on a holiday weekend. I highly recommend giving them a try.
Been using this app for over 6yrs now and had been from the first version on to the third. What I love about this app is the flexibility to organize and group accounts, transactions, income categories and expense categories. It has helped me with my budgets and investments as well. Also very happy to upgrade and discover new features especially the freedom to choose colors and icons. Rating this 4 stars, as I am looking forward to more improvements especially the buttons.
Even having a payed subscription, I just don't want to use it. Sync with banking accounts is simply terrible. I always need to re-sync, re-set up, re-login something to make my accounts updated. Sometimes I feel like a beta tester who should pay for usage of the app. However, support team is responsive and really tries to help. Meanwhile, an application requires more spending of time than it really saves.
Hard to do anything, and even if you manage to make it work and sync they just arbitrarily remove support for syncing with banks without any warning. Support is slow, if you want to report a bug from app, email is the only way and, it opens your mail client withouth proper address to send to. Save yourself time, plenty of wasted effort and money and stay well away!!!!!!! Now I have to find a way how to cancel my subscription, that's not showing anywhere to cancel but is still active.
I have been using MoneyWiz for almost two years now. I wanted to find something that could replace MS Money and Quicken now that I dont use a laptop. The app allows me to manage a dozen or so accounts. It lets me schedule transactions allowing me to move money around my accounts to gain interest and avoid charges. It is quick and intuitive to enter transactions. I have contacted support twice. Each time my query was resolved fully and quickly. I would be lost without this app.
Though support team is responsive, application itself became a nightmare. Instant issues with transactions updates from online banking (incorrect balance, transactions cannot be updated for days, sometimes week+, problems with accounts reconnections), confusing UI and instant crashes/application freezes after latest application updates. and this us a paid version! My experience started nicely, but now I just cannot use this app and cannot recommend it to anyone. will drop my subscription.
I've tried it and sadly discovered that it's practically identical, down to the presentation of information to Version 2 with a new coat of paint (UI) some missing bugs and some missing features. All additions from version 2 are not even close to relevant for my use. To use SYNCbits you have to either subscribe or make a one time purchase per platform. I've done the one time purchase on Version 2 and this doesn't transfer. What the devs seem to do is, unlock few new features (Crypto and Investment), move things around with a different color and call it version 3 requiring yet again single time purchases for practically the same software if you like to continue using the cloud sync service! Not OK. With Version 2 left in a pretty buggy state, I don't expect much change to it. With the latest issue, fingerprint unlock not working on Samsung device with official Android 9 build.
Don't waste your money with this app, there are a lot better. I paid the premium version, has a lot of problems to synchronize in the diferents device and they lost all my datas. And their support service don't help you properly. And looking another similar apps they have also a very better interface.
Had a huge problem with something not syncing properly. Then my data gone. Just thankful the support team never stopped trying to help me and we managed to not only fix it but get the correct data back. I've used this app for years and can't even imagine replacing it with any other one. Thank you Marina for all your help & thank you all for creating the only app I cant imagine handling my money without.
the sync on android is very poor, experienced a lot of times that it syncs only partially, ignoring the "delete" actions from other devices and more. Currently searching for another app, as here I pay money and still have headache. UPDATE: I have already lost my data, because I removed doubled accounts which had wrong data. And guess what, the account with right one were removed from other devices. Well, I have a backup, but guess what, to use this backup across devices I'd have to stop using the synchronization, to write a mail to support and to wait for an answer for help. This is the last month I use the app and implicitly pay for premium . Hardly searching for another one.
MW3 doesn't represent a huge upgrade over MW2 if you don't use the Internet banking functions (I don't), but the interface is somewhat more attractive. It'll feel familiar if you've used MW2, even if some of the pieces and parts have been rearranged. It took me a few days to "make friends" with it. Syncbits still works well - important, since I use MW3 on iOS, Android and Win10 devices. Could we please re-enable landscape/tablet mode in Android?!
Looks way better than v2, for sure. One big cripple: Its reading Date & Time Together when some/most accounts are putting those values in separate columns. Even on auto sync. As a result everything is said to be at 12:00 PM which just makes it all useless when you are trying to import years of history. Ive been stuck between this and Buxfer but the problems here dont justify the beauty.
The app is quite useful although it appears either the app is faulty or you have to subscribe to be able to add a loan to accounts. I am using the standard version. Every time I try to add a loan, I get stuck on payment plan. I pick an option, of which there are two and click on the green tick and payment plan pulses so that is as far as you get. Looks like its abandoned with no updates since 2020. Glad I didn't take a subscription.
