MonkeyMote Music Remote Lite
It fully supports the popular foobar2000, MediaMonkey, Winamp, AIMP 2 & 3 and JRiver Media Center media players.
The app connects to the media player running on your Windows PC via your WiFi network and allows you to view information about currently playing tracks and control every important playback feature.

Please note that the automatic server discovery feature requires at least Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and is not supported by all devices. It is disabled by default on devices that are not running at least Android 4.4 due to an operating system bug that can trigger reboots on some devices.

It may be misssing some functionality, but it is reliable and it just works. Even though free version works just fine (ads are there, but they do not interfere with app functionality), I'm buying it to support development of this app. Highly recommend, keep up the good work!
Works somewhat okay on an older device. No proper notifications, though. Always starts in landscape mode on a newer device with no choice to override. This is not a system-wide problem, but specific to the MonkeyMote app.
Good! Doing everything that was needed. Will be great if you add notification menu control option, so that you dont need change window to switch to next music, but only open notification menu, like in some radio players.
Can't get it to work. It asks for IP address or pc name. I put in IP address of pc. Then it says password is optional. I didn't put password in. Now it won't let me progress other than cancel!
Ain't perfect but it simply works.. It's free.. Not too many ads.. I only wish it could show the playlist better.
Just works, nothing else comes near to the functionality and responsiveness.
Can't connect to my servers so it is useless and I also hate the horizontal layout.
I can't see song name, I see just "???" And I must connect every 5 minutes.

Night mode would be a plus.
Decent app. Ui not as pretty as gizmo. Response also slower. But allows control of loop n shuffle easily which is a good feature. Would be great app if they can resolve the mentioned deficiencies as stated

Congratulations! It's far better than the AIMP Remote. I love it! One suggestion: it would be cool if we could slide the screen from right to left to see the lyrics for the song playing. There's no need to locally cache the lyrics. Just search it on the net and make it ready to show in case we slide the screen 😉
