Monster Dash

This game is a pale shadow of its former self. The new art style looks worse, and the BS meter has been cranked to 11. I used to be able to run thousands of meters fairly easily, but now I struggle to reach 2000, due to monsters falling from the sky, vehicles placed at the edge of a cliff so I lose them immediately, and the double-jump not double-jumping.

It's good, but I cannot get past the graphics change. The retro style of visuals was what made Halfbrick games stand out, and this new style feels way too polished and artificial. The retro style gave this game character, and without it, it looks bland and soulless. Still, despite that, good game overall, you can read the other positive reviews for more insight

I really like this game. I will still play it. But I really dislike the new art style. It feels cheaper in my opinion. I have not heard the sound design yet (been playing with volume off) but I hope its the same as before. That is my real only complaint. If you could revert back I would very much enjoy that. just the art design and animations that is. Everthing else is fine. In short, it feels like a downgrade not a revamp or an upgrade. But this is just MY opinion after all.

How can this game fit pretty much every category for a good game It fits nostalgic Original Heck even the trailers a rock opera 100/10

It's back but worst. The new graphics/artstyle is just unappealing for me like I know it's meant to appeal for younger audience but you might change the UI as sound effects as well because it doesn't fit the new graphics anymore. Lots of pay to win mechanics and adpocalypse. I wish there is an option to switch back to 8bit graphics. EDIT: Change my mind: This game is more fun than it use to be. The game became laggy after I updated it.

My childhood🥺 I used to play this game back in the old days of 2015-2017, excellent game, I loved running and killing monsters on my way, and I was always up to the challenge of beating the levels and get 3 medals on each. Definitely a masterpiece made out of creativity, unlike most of what we have now on the playstore, that are basically really dumb and filled with ads. In fact the ads that sponsor most of those apps that are on the playstore nowadays are even worst the the apps themselves..😭

Honestly, I was excited getting to play this game again after years of not being able to play it, but once I got it on my current phone, it wasn't really good, the graphics just didn't look right, the controls were weird, it kept stuttering and most important of all, the main menu were just not as good as the previous one First run the game was all righT only a few stuttering and whatnot until I past the tutorial it crashed Second run, THE GAME ACTUALLY CRASHED MY ENTIRE PHONE 0/10 not good

Ok I for one would like to say Love, Love, Love this game. I played it a long time ago, I was a bit shocked and happy to see that after all this time ITS BACK! It reminds me of all the great time I played it back then. I have one problem tho. The speed of the game picks up too quickly. I get that you guys want to make the game a bit more challenging the time period is too short can you guys do something about that?! Would you guys consider maybe adding in some boss fights, could be a great Idea!

The rendering of Barry doesn't go with the style of the game making him look out of place. The pixel style was way better, who needs super animated fine lined hot trash! I know I don't! I just think leaving the game as it was or maybe adding more levels would be a more prudent idea. I like how you're modernizing the games, but now the game feels insincere. I remember I would spend hours playing this simple and action packed game, but it instead is this odd looking, money taking, insincere, husk

I used to love this game, it was my favorie Halfbrick game and I played it often. Its return made me super excited at first but the graphics update honestly bothers me way too much, it looks like sonic was going as Barry for Halloween. I think that a setting, or even a purchasable skin to change the game back to its old graphics would really make me and at least some other people happier with its return.

I really like the game, but there is a problem with the audio as it sounds like it was being ran at half speed or slower, the game play is normal but the audio is very slow. In writing this review hoping halfbrick answers, my phone is oneplus 7 pro 5g, I've reinstalled the game BTW.

I played this game years ago and loved it. I'm a sucker for the old designs and really can't make friends with the new ones. (I wish there were an option to switch) The motion quality unfortunately suffered and Barry's comments inbetween are distracting. Also my old 100% main play account is gone which I'm immensely dissatisfied over, since I made sure to link it to my Google play account. 3 stary due to nostalgia and other improvements

This was an incredible game, and now IT'S FRIGGING BACK! Love how you can fight different monsters, just incredible. Thanks for bringing it back, just please consider Bears Vs Art as well. It's back, it's back. Yes! Also, did I mention it's back?!

I use to love this game but the new art style its awful its not the same game I used to play in 2018 to 2019. The new level select music its just worst. I don't know what happened to the old art style and I don't know why you would change it, if they did this to the original,I would be upset.

YES! I completely forgot about this game and I played it all the time when I was younger THANK YOU I also love how you got an Aussie person to voice Barry as a reference to you being Australian game developers overall great game. Thanks for bringing it back. Dont know why you changed the coin noise though. Anyway this game was great but I also think it would be really cool if you could bring back collosotron because that was a cool game and I really liked that.

I'm really starting to get tired of "pay to win". I don't mind paying for a game up front, even if it is more than 60 dollars. As long as it's good, who cares? It's worth it. What's not worth it is spending hundreds of dollars on "improvement diamonds" and accessories. Can we bring games back into the realm of art and genuine entertainment?

Not what it used to be. I used to love playing this game back then. They removed it from the play store and now we have this. I missed when the more pixelated graphics than this. There's litteral a costume for 10 bucks. Why did halfbrick do this? Why did they also get rid of age of zombies, that was really fun.

I love this game, way back, and when i saw that it was back, I was so excited, to play it, but there was a problem, it needs internet connection, before it was offline, but now, damn you changed, what happened to u monster dash, u used to be good.

Mediocre at best. The game audio/sound effects are really offputting. Sounds like my phone is being played from inside a swimming pool. Extremely offputting.

It's really great to see the miraculous return of Monster Dash again after a decade or so. (The hype is real.) It's a pretty quick paced game that gets straight to the point, and it's also fun at the same time. So overall, it's a pretty noice game! (This is actually the first time I've ever said this much while rating a game. I guess I'm pretty proud of actually have enough courage to accomplish writing this whole text. Woo.)
