One of the most beautiful and enjoyable games i've ever played. The story is simple, yet meaninful; the puzzles could be more challenging, but they're still amusing; the graphics are simply lovely; the music is relaxing and delightful; and the interface is minimalistic and intuitive. Thank you!

Just like the first game, this installment offers close to no challenge and tries to grab your attention through a beautifully crafted world. I was going to knock it down to 3 stars for lack of innovation in the puzzles but what kept me from doing it was the the beautiful, voiceless story that the game takes time to paint and how it is shown through the ways the two characters interact with eachother and the world.

An absolutely wonderful game. Even better than the first edition. Beautifully gentle graphics with amazing optical illusions. Once I started playing, I couldn't stop playing. Relaxing and challenging at the same time. I hope they put out a third game!

JUST AMAZING! I generally don't give reviews to apps or games but this compel me to do so. Everything in this game is amazing, be it storyline, levels, gameplay. Without any voice over or subtitles the way of conveying the message is awsome.

Exceptional game. Stunnig graphics and great gameplay with many great challenges. However the number of levels are quite low, probably because it must be so hard to make things this beautiful. You can play through the whole thing in 2 hours or so, which makes you left wanting more. I wish they make the next one with 40-50 levels. Otherwise, truly one of the all time greats.

A really nice game, super stunning graphics and relaxing matching music! Completely enjoy every moment of it! Especially the part where I can draw the flower at the end of some round, looking foward to it every single time!! Just a small remark: it's too short, and costs pretty much.

As a perspective game, the trend of mixed perspectives is still obvious. But this game has a touching story and serene sounds to go along with it. The one unique aspect of using totem as a reusable doorway caught me off-guard, in a good way. Really beautiful, especially drawing your own shapes at the end of each level!

The orchard, wow, wow, WOW! Stunning and brilliant, immediately after playing that chapter I had to come leave a review. Loved the game to that point and then was absolutely blown away. 10*

When I think of a generic mobile game, I think of a puzzle game. One with simplistic designs. However, this game is both of those and yet not even close to the same. The animations are extraordinary. The art is the best simplistic style I've ever seen. The gameplay is so varied throughout your entire adventure... Its simply beautiful. The whole thing is just a great experience.

I like the first Monument Valley game better. The puzzles aren't as good as the ones in the previous game. Like, 1) you're just pushing buttons in the first levels , and 2) the puzzles are waaay simpler than the ones in the first game; they're quite forgettable and aren't as complicated. The graphics are still beautiful as always though, and the little girl is adorable. It's also a shame that puzzles that are actually good are near the end of the game. All of these make it feel like the game is super short. I don't see any replay value from this game, unlike the first game. I'm not sure if I'll buy the dlc if there is any.

A beautiful, beautiful game. Challenging but only just enough to make you think a little differently, a little (literally) sideways, I never got stuck long enough to frustrate me. Its quite short, I finished it in one long evening of travel, but it was a wholly immersive experience. You can tell that a lot of love and care was put into this app. The story is touching, intruiging, makes you want to know more, the world is beautifully designed, and the gameplay is perfect. 11/10

For those of you having played the first game and wondering if they should buy the second: After playing through the first one and it's excellent DLC I was excited about jumping into this one, since I assumed the high price tag was because it was more, harder puzzles. The opposite is true, unfortunately. A short story, way easier than the monument 1 extra chapters. Pretty much only nicer graphics and a few cute new mechanics, otherwise a downgrade for a high price tag.

A fantastic game with plenty of charm, a wonderfully artistic environment and a unique style. The puzzles are fun and engaging and the atmosphere and setting are great. Whilst just as good as the first, the levels themselves seem a little shorter, but the game as a whole is longer. However it still feels a little too short and is sadly over too quickly. Personally I would like the puzzles to be a bit more challenging, or for there to be added replayability. That being said, an amazing game.

Not quite as good as the first one, but still one of the best mobile games around. Whereas the previous story was subtly told through the environment, here it is quite explicit and predictable. The levels, while still beautiful and mind-bending, seem easier and less unique. Overall, there is less thinking for the player to do. It's still a great experience, though, and you should definitely buy it.

As someone who adored the original game, I rushed into buying the second one. And boy, was I disappointed. The game is more like a demo, rather than a complete title. Put the extra short experience aside, you get repetitive levels, lacking any challenge whatsoever and while there were great ideas along the way, they were just episodes overshadowed by dullness, instead of being developed into something that would have worth the while. Totally low effort. And actually I'd like my money back.

Since the first installment, I tried many games inspired by MV aesthetic and gameplay. Currently, none were able to match it. Hopefully this second chapter is the real deal. Even more beautiful graphically! And the story is touching. It only falls short on the length: being quite a casual game, it's too easy to rush through it, leaving the player craving for more. It felt way shorter and easier than the original.

Truly an exceptional game The first iteration was good, but this time around they really outdid themselves. The puzzles are slightly more challenging, and the story telling is so beautifully done. This is now of story telling app with stunning visual effects that happens to have an interactive puzzle component to it. I can't wait for the third game.

Phenomenal game! People say it's too short, but I think the length is pretty decent. I really enjoyed the coming-of-age story as I played along, and the aesthetics is just as beautiful as MV1 (and I get to make my own geometry!). The only thing I'd nitpick about is the puzzles are not really that new or more difficult from the first game. Overall, great purchase.

Even more wondrous than the first, to dub this game "lovingly crafted" would be an understatement. The colourful aesthetic and calming soundtrack draw the player into a surreal set of fairly simple puzzles, manipulating the environment and interacting with familiar elements. The story isn't exactly deep but there are notably more chapters here than in the original, which is nice. Still, there remains plenty of room for expansion and I look forward to the next enchanting title in the series!

Beautiful app, great puzzles and sound. The only reason it gets such a low score is due to the license validation at startup. Everytime it checks and if you are in airplane mode or have no reception, the game can't be played. I paid happily, but since the times I want to play most are the ones I can't play at all and it bothers me.

This game was amazing! I managed to get it for free but honestly it's worth the money if you pay for it. Just the minimalistic design and the music combined feel so aesthetic and calming but there's a lot more. The puzzle are not too hard, not to simple, just in that sweet spot where it feels satisfying to complete without getting frustrating while doing it. It's amazing! Honestly if you have the money just buy it you won't regret it. I usually don't write reviews but this game is too good!

I came into this game without playing the first so any overarching story I was not aware of. A short game/ story that (how I perceive) is about growing up. A beautiful soundtrack underscores very well made puzzles that at times had me scratching my head. The designs that you could draw up after level completion were a nice touch to put on the main level select screen. The only major downside was on a personal note that I did not play it on my tablet to get better feedback on the rotational aspects. Overall I would definitely recommend this game to any friends I had and will most assuredly play the first game.

The game itself is as visually stunning as the first. I am however bitterly disappointed, after spending £5 to acquire part two of the game, to discover just how short it is. Most levels were ridiculously easy (bar two places that had me briefly scratching my head). I had hoped for so much more considering the sheer delight the first part was to play. I downloaded the game on Saturday night, played it briefly and picked it up again the following evening...and completed it all.

It is pretty and sweet, and the Escheresque levels are novel, for a little while anyway. But, if you're looking for a puzzle game which offers a challenge, look elsewhere. The solutions unveil themselves with little required of the player. I did play through to the end, each time thinking that surely, this level would be the one that stumped me. Each time I was disappointed as, again, it was just a matter of going through the motions until the level ended. It's okay, neither good nor bad.

Beautiful game on every level. The graphics are even more amazing in this sequel, the game play is amazingly creative, and the story is incredibly touching. And I love how you didn't just get to play each level but you also got to design your own medallion when you completed each challenge! There are so many wonderful little things in this game. It's the perfect app for people who need a little stress release and intellectual challenge. :)

So the art is brilliant, but the game is so easy, especially if you played the first one. I feel that they intentionally made the levels easy. The game took me 3 small sessions to beat. Most entire sections I beat in less than 10 minutes. The levels usually only have one thing you can do, so it makes it for easy completion. Would give it 5 stars if was free, but not for $4.99 should be more difficult.

This is a thoroughly enjoyable sequel to the original game, with the same mesmerizing soundtrack and lovey imagery and new(ish) puzzles. It is short but sweet and one of the few "games" that actually makes me feel better after playing it a little while. On a down note, I had a LOT of trouble with this game both on my phone and my tablet. The audio crackles and pops a lot on the phone; the game would not run at all on my tablet beyond the "loading..." screen until I uninstalled it and rebooted. But once up and lumbering under its own weight, it looks and sound marvelous on the big 8" tablet screen!
