During Covid 19, was feeling isolated, depressed, stressed even keeping in touch with people by texting and didn't want to rely on them when my anxiety was getting the better of me, as they were trying to keep their own spirits up. Decided I needed something else to help me and this app was it. Very user friendly, flexible, with insightful options. So happy I gave it a try!
Honestly, I haven't even gone through reading all the texts in the information section, and I can say that I already like the app! 😊 The explanations and the amount of information that is given are excellent and I think that this app could be really beneficial for anyone struggling with these problems. In the least, it could help with putting one's thoughts into perspective, which is a great aid in itself.
I am rating it 4 stars because some important steps/ links are missing from the diary. When one ruminants usually they are physically inactive and cannot swich from depreesion specific thought just by cognitive reframing. For these reasons it is important to add other pages to the diary. At the start the diary, something like "current activity". After cognitive reframing, it can be something like "opposite action" or "next thing to do based on the reframed thoughts"
I have been really impressed with how this app streamlines these sometimes tedious process of creating mood logs. I have been pleasantly surprised that the app has managed to replicate many if not all of the benefits of doing mood logs while removing some of the peskier obstacles to getting the job done.
Swiping feature doesn't always work! Sometimes I've completed a page and lost all of it because it won't swipe to the next section. Very frustrating.
so far, this app has really helped me. I struggle with intrusive thoughts, and this app has made them improve significantly. I even recommend it to some friends who also struggle with intrusive thoughts. I feel so much better, and I can finally separate my thoughts from reality. thank you
Why go to therapy when there's MoodTools? perfect for anyone struggling with depression, diagnosed or otherwise, everyone can benefit from this app. just used the thought diary for the first time and it helped. going through a hard time right now and it helped me look on the bright side. it's also great for people with social anxiety. no one has to know your thoughts. very easy to use.
Wish it was easier to scroll through the text fields when typing or editing entries. The text fields keep jumping out of frame so I must type blindly sometimes.
Seriously one of the best apps to help me with my mental health journey. I recommend it to anyone I talk to that is struggling. The journal is by far my favorite feature.
Good resource, but it needs to also include positive moods and their effects so people don't fixate on the negative or develop the sense that things are always bad. I was peaceful sitting outside in the sunshine but had no way to log this and remind myself how to achieve peace or conjure positive memories.
this app is very useful in controlling and helping negative thoughts by guiding you into logical reasoning. soon, you'll learn how to stop your own spiraling thoughts. probably saved my life a half a dozen times. :)
Honestly one of the most streamlined and straightforward little things you can do to help with depression (and anxiety).
I downloaded this app years ago and continue to keep it because of the meditation videos. They are truly wonderful and helpful at any time of the day 👌.
Would be a 5 star, but there is no way to migrate old app data to a new device, even in the pay mode. Best you get is an export of the thought journals.
Very very helpful and good app for anxiety disorders. Best for cbt also. Thanks for creating it.
I think this app is beyond great, alot of us dont have any support or way to get out whatever is bothering us, this app definitely helped me especially the log journal
I love this app. it's my "turn to" app when I am feeling out of sorts. keeps things clear in my mind when I need it the most. highly recommended.
Outstanding! Feeling sad? Then reach for the pad! Cognative Behavior Therapy simply works on Mood Tools! And it's free.
This app great as it helps u when u dont want to tell people u r depressed , good for especially teenagers as we dont like to open up to parents...as we r ashamed to...so it is great app
This app is very helpful for helping me manage my depression. It's easy to use and it's very effective
Amazing app. The thought diary made me feel better in few minutes itself. Thanks, you guys!
I enjoy this app but would love to see encouraging quotes. possibly some inspiring stories.
Amazing app that is a good supplement to therapy or a decent replacement if you dont have access often
Awesome tool for expressing emotions and dealing with them little by little just be honest.
As a 30 year Mental Heath Therapist (and CBT Therapist) I suggest this and FearTools to all of my Clients! Excellent
The app is encouraging to the depressed but I would like some bible scriptual encouragement that backs up the encouragement and help.
This is a good app to practice cognitive reconstruction. It would be great to include sample statements for each item in the Thought Diary as a guide esp. for the beginners. It would also help if you can put descriptions and examples for the cognitive distortions. And please make passcode protection enabled even for non-pro mode. It would also be great if you can make the design more modern looking, or use beautiful color schemes to make it more appealing, especially to younger people.
