Moon & Garden

This app is easy to use and well laid out. It helps me organize and prioritize my gardening duties. The advised day notification and explanations are wonderful features. I live in the West Indies, I'm not sure yet how well it will work here. I have only used it for transplanting once so far and I noticed a difference in the moisture retention of the cuttings compared to other random times. So far, so good.

WOW!! This app got a major facelift since I last had it installed. Great additions and more modern look. I highly recommend for anyone looking to start gardening with the natural rythym of the earth. 4 stars because I paid for premium and am still getting ads but if premium took ads away it would get 5. Weather also doesn't translate from Catalan to English.

App has useful information, but significant issues: 1) the plant information is all in French for the English version of the app, with no way to change 2) the user interface is confusing. If I select a day on the calendar, I should be able to see the information right there. Instead, you have to select a day, then press "today" to view details. The icons for new moon/full moon are also reversed from what seems intuitive 3) App crashes constantly! Works for maybe 5 minutes at a time

This app would be great if I could buy the premium version, but each time I try there is an error and transaction is declined (not happening on other apps). Also, the research tool doesn't work and there is no way to change the language from within the app... And no way to contact any help other than leaving this review. I will change it to more stars if I get some help with my issue... Thanks in advance!

Setting up my garden this year with great help from this app. Love the interactive garden grid to help with layout and input of exactly what you planted. The research area is very helpful with info on when to plant, transplant, sow, trim, harvest....for individual crops. The calendar shows exactly when and when not to do all of the above accordingly with the waxing & waning of the moon. :-)

Ads pop up in the middle of using it. Total garbo EDIT 3/16/21 Trying it is one thing to see if someone would want to disable in app ads if the app is worth it. The annoying part is you can't tell how it's like due to the ads instantly popping in. I could not test the app due to ads. Therefore it's not worth anyone's time to DL. Look elsewhere others. EDIT 3/18/21: one ad or 20. Doesn't matter how many if you can't use it. Of course you can close the ad, I don't want to be closing ads all day

Strangely, this December 2020 I see that January is noted all month to be "Leaf". It continues into 2021 for the rest of the year. I'm not sure why this is how it is set up, but the result is difficulty for planning after the current month. I really like the app, as it simplifies a very complex principle. Fun graphics, handy format. Please adjust so future months are accurate.

I used to love this app and used it every day but since the latest upgrade it's totally unusable. The icons are less clear for working outside in the sun, you can't click on the day's icon to give you task information any more - you have to click an icon below the calendar, and it crashes all the time. Please bring back the old version, I used to recommend it to everyone and now I can't because it's so bad

Uninstalling after having it for less than 24 hours. Everything was correct when I first opened the app, but within 15 minutes it started showing that the moon was in a different sign-the WRONG sign. I've checked it periodically throughout the day and it's still showing the wrong sign for the moon. Disappointed.

The app design has changed. I much preferred the app format prior to changes. The previous version was infinitely better, providing an easy to read design, with more detailed information & understanding , clearly presented, comfortable to view & absorb the instructions based on the structure & colours of the app design. I will B seeking a Moon & Garden app to replace this app. I will B removing this app. Finding it difficult & confusing to understand.

I live in the Caribbean so I'm not 100% sure of the accuracy. So far my experience has been good. UPDATE: Since this last upgade the app keeps crashing after 10 - 15 seconds of use. Please bring back the old version! Update: (June 15, 2021) I just updated this app and I'm happy to say that I now find it more useful. Reminds me of my original experience.

At the flrst install, there was no icon, but the 2nd time the icon installed perfectly. There have been no "issues" and I love the many interesting features, including local weather for the day, and the type and variety of plants to work with each day, according to the phase of the moon...much like The Farmer's Almanac, only much nicer! Thank you JOCS for a well-designed app! p.s. "Tell us more" ne marche pas...

As a beginner moon gardener I like the app, I'm surprised that the same app looks completely different on my Android tablet and my iPhone. I like iPhone app more because of the visuals. I noticed when using generic moon garden charts I see discrepancies between this app and charts. I don't know enough to judge it either way at this time because I don't know how the zodiac can influence gardening and I'm not interested in researching that much. I'll upgrade my review as the season changes and I have more exposure to the results. I used it to plant veg and flowers in trays under timed light and I've never had plants germinate so fast. Some were spindly but that could be my fault to far from the light. I remember last year I had a lot of my early crop go to seed quickly and when I checked my dates of planting for 2020 I realized I planted root veg on leaf day, interesting. I'm going to follow completely this year including transplanting etc. Can't wait to view the results this year. I have recorded everything.

Useless after update. No info at all. Uninstalled. EDIT: since you didn't want to "waste your time" with an acceptable UI/UX, I didn't want to waste mine with a helpful review. After your childish reply (most users report the exact same impressions as me) here we go: the icons weren't great before, they're even worst now. It needs an extra click every single time for every single day/kind of plant so, unless you only have a single kind of plant in your garden, the app forces you to click forward and then back and then forward again. In short, you changed the way the app worked, and did so for a less intuitive, practical and logical one. So: useless after update, no info at all, uninstalled

Possibly useful... Will see how my garden grows! But it also force-quits and won't reopen until I restart my phone. And there is a constant barrage of LOUD useless fullscreen ads that go on for minutes at a time. I'm actively seeking better alternatives.

Appreciate the daily reminders/advise with explanations. Also i like the various platforms easy to use and purposeful. Forum and the grid to mark where you placed your plants ability to review throughout the year.

Worked great until the last upgrade a few days ago (android tablet). Since then they haved fixed the bug and now I am very happy again. Thanks for a great app. I refer to it constantly.

I really like the app so far. If we could normalise this information which has been around from the dawn of day, we could eradicate so much contamination of our water sources and supply, and feed ourselves easily with an abundance of healthy food. I look forward to the forum being expanded and being a rich source of personal experience to share. Happy growing, sharing and caring! 🌱

Three strikes and I'm out. First I was trying to add my garden, there was no swiss chard and when I tried to add it the app force closed. i tried THREE times. then i tried to add my marigolds and there isn't even an option for flowers unless you create it yourself, which force closes on me sooo cant do that. Then i noticed the onion picture is actually a raspberry branch??? what is going on here? I wish this app was more accurate and less thrown together. WAAAYYYY more crops need to be added.

Good app, easyish to use...makes gardening a bit more fun...and frustrating sometimes..lol..it doesn't always fit my agenda. I sometimes can't find a back arrow to get to the previous screen and just close and reopen..but that's prolly just me and technology.

I like many features in this app. What I think would be a handy addition is search by type+action, or plant+action, for example leaf+sow or lettuce+sow gives you the next few optional days when it's ok to do it. Also, swiping to previous/next day (without returning to Calendar screen)

should be a good ap. but it's not at all. it duplicates your entries in one month for many previous months and months in the future making it absolutly worthless. when you redo all your research tk put those planting dates back the way they should be next time you open the ap it has duplicates everything again. even if you put a placeholder in the blank for instance "nope" it erases that entry and duplicates a previous entry again. makes the app worthless.

Really useful, however there are some really simple words misspelled that detracts from the app. For instance, after choosing a date, the app gives a list of chores, what should be planted out, etc. The title to the page refers to "Plantings" as "Plantations". A bit annoying for how common the mistakes are through the app.

from my phone-daily planting suggestions are put in my posts...what to do nd when...nd what all not to do on not the best of days.!!!! I feel this is a wonderful app to keep with one at all times.!!!! The added features are incredible and precisely on time to make flower gardening prettier nd for vegetables to have accuracy in planting..transplanting.. growing as well as the most decadant tasting harvests.!!!! I LOVE THIS APP.!!!!!!!

The GPS service isn't working. I just paid for the premium version and it doesn't look different than the unpaid version of the app. I don't know what time zone the calendar is in nor what growing zone. Both those things make a difference in planting. I live in Southeast Texas. I can't plant at the same time as someone in Wyoming or New York or in the Belgium. My climate is too different. I am sad I have to uninstall and refund.

This app is really good for beginners in gardening. I liked most is the calendar showing days to work with roots , flowers, fruits etc. Please add creatives ideas on farming , companion of vegetables and how to plant more neatly and easily.
