It's a real old way game! Really! No need to spend money. I chose to buy the most expensive pack at 39€ to help the devs. But you don't really need it. It simply eases the size of your bag to carry more stuff and come back less. I have some suggestions : 1) Give the option to have a more "medieval" vocabulary for those who choose it, so since it's an option, foreigners won't be lost 2) Give more option to personalize the physics of the two heroes 3) Add more languages : Chinese, Greek, Turkish.
A lot of fun. Wish there were more levels. Update: I had played an earlier version and it ended abruptly. Went back to redownload the game and wow has the developer added a ton! The mini games (especially the card game, but also the dice game) are crazy fun, too. A great game. Inventory capacity gets to be tricky at times, especially with so many ingredients, but the game is great.
gameplay is engaging, though a tad confusing. A better tutorial would help. I missed out on many achievement rewards b/c I discovered it days after I started playing. Inventory management should be more organized. For instance, an ingredient bag separate from main inventory. The craft/forge system is daunting, to say the least. The sheer amount of ingredients one gets before finding a recipe also strengthens the need for better inventory management.
This seems to be a very well thought out game! The things I like right away are smooth controls and the way of movement through the game. It's natural, not choppy or sticky like a lot of rpgs. You get a second companion who talks with you and comments about things you find. I really like that! It's different and really great. The best thing is the text font is large enough and easy to read, easy on the eyes. I did the first big dungeon last night and it was kind of creepy & lonely! Fun game.
Good dungeon crawler with quests and some puzzle elements. Graphics are nice. No pay walls that I can see at this time. What I like most - the controls are easy for android and not too tiny. You get to use two characters. We also do not get bombarded with ads. 5 star rating from me for now :)
I've been waiting for a long time, to find a offline adventure game. And now, I found it...the Moonshades. It is the best adventure game. However the control is not good...it is better to make it move freely instead of step by step. But I will still give it 5 stars because the gameplay is very awesome and I now gradually adapting with the controls.
Really enjoyable game, mind bending maps, and a very intuitive GUI, but most importantly, you can play offline, something sorely missing in most current RPG style games, which seem obsessed with being permanently online when there is absolutely no need to be. Update: Game has crashed three times trying to do one pit, just keeps crashing and crashing, was loving the game, but it's so buggy.
good game, I'm not finished, so can't leave true review... well done dungeon crawler, ability tree is nonspecific, but you can choose direction of progression. For some reason, it didn't save the chosen faces for my characters, or the names... It can be easy to get lost, but the maps help, when you get them... portals make it easier to travel between areas... monsters generate, as progress is made, helping lead you to your destination... so far, pretty excellent for its genre.
This is exactly the type of game I was wanting to play! The graphics are good, the combat is solid. Most games have word vomit stories that don't make sense, but this one is very very good. Everyone that's complaining about crashes just needs to get a better phone and stop playing on a brick. God-tier game, already have recommended it to several friends.
So I've been looking for an old school dungeon crawler for some time & nothing was coming close to satisfying that itch...until now. From the moment you start playing it's obvious that the developer is a veteran of this genre. It has depth, is challenging and extremely fun to play. Storage management is critical but easily handled by constantly selling your low level items (sound familiar?). If you're yearning for a taste of the old school give Moonshades a try...you won't be disappointed.
The game is pretty nice tbh, it reminds me those old school rpg games back then. But i came across a problem, but idk if other people is also experiencing it. I was playing for 30 minutes and when i was selling some unimportant equipment my screen starts to flicker and the game crashes and when i enter the game it did rolled back, but not really far so I did not mind but it's kinda of a mild inconvenience. Again idk if other people are experiencing this.
Moonshades is frankly great considering the tiny development "team," & is a rare find on moblile. It's an enjoyable dungeon crawler with a few puzzle-type elements, loot to find, & a full crafting system. If I had any criticisms at all it would be that, 1, the crafting system is maybe a bit overwhelming, and 2, it definitely needs more inventory space! But I just went ahead and bought gems to get inventory as a way to support the developer. Recommended!
I have about 8-9 hours in this game already and am absolutely in love with it's concept. If you're a big fan of dungeon crawlers this one is definitely the end-all, being so mobile. My problems largely stem from storage and inventory space related issues, sure you can accrue enough gems to purchase more space, but us hoarders just can't get there quick enough. Haha. And the UI is real small on phones, I wish I could move the directional buttons around to be on either left or right of my screen.
The game is great. But hoping there is a easier way to add storage/inventory than buying gems. If there is also a portion on every level so we can sell off the items we do not need anymore than going back or disposing of it. Overall. I'm still trying to find my way through but it is an experience like nostalgia to the older games when I was a kid.
Pretty good, I've enjoyed everything I've played so far, though I did get stuck on a few puzzles I think it was just me not being observant enough. And I've only felt I needed to make one purchase so far but it's well worth it, as I enjoy inventory management in games, thinking what I need and don't and trying to use up a many materials as possible to make room for more.
I paid for some extras cuz I do like the game. I don't play often enough to ever know where tf to go and now I'm stuck. And I know there are forums and guides I could look at, but that's not fun to me leaving the interface. What would adding a glowing trail quest marker ability that I could follow to the correctly leveled area and quest POIs (using the most standard route data from a guide) hurt? Please make it easier on the casuals. I want to play again, but don't want to run around lost.
Solid Old School RPG/Dungeon Crawler. Smooth, easy Controls. Inventory Space is the only initial set back,,, but can remedied with smart shuffle drops or earn/buy Gems. Honestly, not a deal breaker. Worth the time, if you like this type of game. I look forward to more from this Moonlighting Dev. :) oh,,, one thing... the Potion equip could be better, imo.
Quality dungeon crawler in the vein of the Lands of Lore and Eye of the Beholder series. Controls are simple and intuitive. Good range of skills and abilities and the simple crafting system means it's not a hassle even for someone like me who hates crafting in games, but should keep those happy that like crafting. The lack of inventory space can be annoying but the option is there to expand with premium in-game currency, which is available for F2P gamers, so not a massive obstacle. Good game
Edit: OK so I think I mostly figured it out! Some of my confusion was due to a level-min for some of the progression stuff, and well - must grind! It's really drawing me in, I gotta say :-). Perhaps it would make sense for the rating-trigger to appear just a little later (like once you're entering the voiceless dungeon). At that point the mechanics have mostly ironed out (meaning mostly that the player has figured out how stuff works).
Amazing game! My new favorite. If you like RPGs this is a game for you. First time I played I paid for several things but an error with my bank caused me to be unable to make purchases so a second time playing I went through with absolutely no purchases and finished so it is truly a free game. I do suggest paying if you can because it's top notch with attention to detail.
If you take the time (a month or more), to watch ads for gems, use the gems to upgrade your storage and inventory space, then complete some mushroom quest to have even more storage, the game is great. Without extra room in your inventory, though, it's tough to manage the loot. Otherwise, a great little dungeon crawler.
This would be a five star game if I didn't wander off due to a notification and come back to discover my last hour+ of playing was gone. Instead of this being a keeper, like I thought it was going to be initially, it's being uninstalled. My suggestion is to auto save. These are mobile devices. People are gonna wander off and want to return to the same spot a few hours later.
Its a challenging game and only for these who can think critically not everything to unlock the dhngeons secrets are in the same dungeon so you need to go back and forth at times. Don't be afraid to do so. Its a nice game good graphics median controlls has a few problems but what game does not have any issue? Thats whaf debugging is for anyhow. But in general its a good game.
Moonshades is a fun dungeon crawl game that reminds me of the old Wizardry series on my IBM PC back in the 80's. I actually love the fact that it doesn't have an elaborate multi-player system, and that watching ads for rewards is totally optional. I'll be playing this game for a long time.
Overall fun, addictive game! Constant "Not Enough Space In Inventory" messages will force you to buy more, however. Other item prices are extortionate. There is severe lack of info, having to scour the internet everytime you have a question. Dice & Cards minigames great fun! Enjoyed, except for receiving multiple already-owned cards when spending Runes. Please put direction controls wider apart! They're too close, which causes mistakes. Enemies spawn inside you, & glitching through them.
Very impressive considering it's a one-man show. The game definitely captures some essential rpg goodness to make it a compelling thing to unravel. I tend to fumble a bit on the movements in fights that require some dodging but that is part of the grid style. It would be easier on a traditional keyboard. Quite challenging, it demands patience and attention. I had to put it down after running in circles for half an hour. Still early so I am picking it back up. It deserves some perseverance!
