Morimoto XBT RGB

This is by far the most finicky controller I've tried. My halos won't reset so I can reconnect them to the app. If I unplug them them plug them back in, they are on the same color they were when I disconnected them. And randomly while they are on they will change color even tho my phone doesn't have it even recently paired in the app... They were working just fine the last time I had control of them, and then now nothing.

This app would be fantastic if they fixed just two things. 1st of all it obviously has connection issues as you can see from the many reviews, if you stream your music via bluetooth than sometimes thos app will not connect, also I've found If you have a remote start and turn it to the color you want before putting your key in, then it will reset when you put your key in and it will not connect, this is with my S7 edge. 2nd issue is there lock option does not lock anything. They should have a lock setting so you can set a color or theme, lock it, and then every time you turn them on it automatically goes to that locked setting. It has a lock function but it doesn't work. It gets annoying having to open the app every single time you want your lights on and reset your color/themes, and then hope that it connects and you dont have to force close the app, turn off your bluetooth then restart the app and turn your bluetooth back on. Outside of those two issues it is a great app with lots of cool functions and if those two things were fixed I would definitely rate it 5 stars

Works great when it wants to. Which is rarely when I need it to. Thought maybe it was my old Galaxy S7 but nope does the same thing on my brand new Z Flip 3. Even after reinstalling/re-pairing it still does the same thing. Adding permissions didn't help. I know it's not the bluetooth signal because my phone will list the device in the Bluetooth menu. It's pretty sad when you have to read reviews for troubleshooting tips...

Please fix this app, several hundred dollars spent on your products (which are top quality) but the app that is supposed to control it doesn't work reliably, turns on and off and randomly changes colors while driving, knock on wood I've been lucky not to have been pulled over, yet!.. Please help us out and fix this problem.

This app works but it's a pretty poor app. No feedback via the app - you have to be physically looking to see if the settings have applied. I was planning on pairing the XBT controller to my Android screen so I could control my lights via that instead of phone, but not only does this app not support landscape, the controls dont work properly in this orinatation. Needs serious update but since it's not been updated in 4 years don't hold your breath.

I would give this app a 0 if I could. I spent alot of time trying to get this to work on my pixel 2 and i ended up giving up. One day i walked up to my car and the rgb lights where on, great it works! But unfortunately i was not that lucky. Now the lights turn on randomly. This is a ticket waiting to happen. Thanks morimoto for wasting my time and my money. For the record I tried my sisters iphone and was able to work the headlights perfectly with that. FIX YOUR APP

Awesome app. Works great with my Samsung s7 edge. On custom rom with android 8.0.1. It would be nice to have an option to have a time setting for it to auto turn on and off. Maybe even have it auto detect the halos if they are on for too long and can auto turn off. If they can get it in the next firmware or plan to update with more options. That be awesome. Overall very good app and works well. Of course bluetooth does drain the phone battery quite a bit if left on. Gotta toggle it on and off. Gotta have patience. I have a feeling the bad reviews are just people that dont know how to use this.

This controller / app combo is junk, the hardware (LEDs, Projectors) is top of the line. Why not invest in your app that controls everything to give the end user a better experience. I would like my phone actually pair up and stay paired (like how my phone and truck know eachother on that personal level). Your app is sub par, needs to be revamped. Such a big name is the industry and such a pour quality interface with your equipment. I expect more from a company who produces high end components.

(If ur having trouble connecting go into app permissions and allow app permissions for all 3 spots. (should now pair on XBT startup). COME ON MORIMOTO UPGRADE THIS APP!!! USERS PICK COLOR ON THEME &WAVE PATTERN IT DISPLAYS+if it's solid,strobe,or fades.needs a default color set for turn on not white always.You sell rgb lights for cars but have the worst app that barely controls the rgb lights you sell.. this app has gotta be upgraded u can afford it!!!

I don't have a problem with the app for me, but when I turn the car off the lights randomly come on and kills the battery and once you pay for a $600 battery, you'll just disconnect them and connect them when you want to show it. Not like they work driving down the road any way.

Not enough color options. should have a rainbow strobe. Can't get some of the colors to work. The module has not felled like the 1st 1 had witch was a different brand. Distance is very good u don't have to be very close 2 module inside car to make lights on wheels 2 change. Theme mode👎🏾

Overall love the versatility, however there needs to be a way that it doesn't automatically turn on. I ran into this problem when I turned the switch off in the app only to walk to my car the next morning and find out the lights were on all night even with the app off. Now I need a new car battery.

For a "higher end" LED company this is a really bad app. You guys need to do some update on this. Saved lights setting doesn't work until you turn on the app. So Everytime your lights are on they will just be default white. The layout for changing each channel are bad. No custom light mode just their lame presets. Even the cheapo LED controller have better app

From time to time the app won't shut lights off. Reinstall and struggle to get it to communicate with lights no luck . I've tried everything it doesn't connect anymore. At this point I would rather have a regular controller this app is horrible and a waste of my time.

man how can the lights be so good but the app be so bad? the diode dynamics app is so much more appealing. can you guys please at least make a black background so you can see what channel you have selected even that would Make the app 100 times better. Also a whole redesign of the app would be good. please make a black background

Update the dam app nothing works!! Doesn't even connect I kept blaming a faulty control but it connects just fine on older devices. I've had cheap ebay stuff have better apps than this. It's really disappointing considering the 85 dollar price on the remote

if you have an iPhone it works perfectly fine no problems whatsoever. I recently switch to an S10 and the app doesnt work anymore, can't connect or anything, it's not a completely worthless paperweight
