Morse Code

I had installed this app a year or more ago and thought it was a great learning tool as well as a useful asset in certain circumstances. But after not using it for a while I attempted to show it off to a friend only to discover that it now requires multiple permission that it has no logical or reasonable need for. I also can't imagine why it now requires for me to "sign up" or "log in" all for features easily found elsewhere through far less invasive means.

I was hopeful this app would be useful for learning Morse Code. Unfortunately I have found it completely unusable because on my phone the Gboard onscreen keyboard covers the play button and won't go away, even when switching screens. Also the settings and arrangements aren't geared towards tutorials. For example, there are no "blind" code tests at all. The app apparently presumes you're already familiar with the Code and merely want to annoy... er... I mean communicate via code with folks nearby.

Needs a way to adjust the speed to standard learning speed. Also take off the visual representation of the sound in the learning screen. The worst way to learn morse is associating the visual representation of the sound with the letter. It creates another layer of translation.

It really isn't a tutorial. It only has two real functions, a converter and a list of the letters with their sounds. It doesn't teach you Morse code. The converter works well.

The app works okay for learning the morse, but when it comes for test part try to make it similar like how it's shown in MMD Signal Exam hall. Let all the flashes complete and check the answers in the end. This way students would be able to prepare them exactly for signal otherwise the app is not good enough just for name sake.

What? Why it requires access to make or receive calls just to load at all is beyond me. Most apps ask for permissions, then disallow whatever aspect you deny, not the entire app. And there is nothing in the description at all about anything in the app that might need access to my phone calls. Very concerning. No thanks. Far better and safer apps out there.

The APP is Good. SELF TEST results are not updated immediately. Sometimes Test Results are not even generated. Kindly improve it. Groups are difficult to identify in test letters can be identified easily. In Hard Mode Test speed is slow it will not complete the test. Blocks speed need to be increased in test mode.

Good app, does what it says and helps a bit. As a suggestion, perhaps in a future version you could add a test feature that gives you random letters, words or morse to translate? May help people to learn/memorise more:) overall, great app

Everytime I went to open the app. It wouldnt even get past loading it. It would automatically boot me out. I have tried rebooting my phone. I gave it several tries and just ended up uninstalling it.

Would definitely like the option to copy and paste on the converter bit of the app and to share on text, WhatsApp etc. But overall it's a cool app, - .... .- -. -.- -.-- --- ..-

The tutorial and sound don't work but the light does. In all honesty I guess the light is the only part of it that is necessary but I would be thrilled if you fixed it please.

Great app, i will use this app in a lifetime. Jan 1 2021 what's up with the many one star?? To me even with the update, this app is functioning very well. Though i just dont know about the test. I only use the app to memorize the letters and as a converter. Everything but the test, i know this app is very well.

very disappointing. it was good and almost flawless before, but now it asks for media storage and phone calls permissions, login with email also required. honestly, why? uninstalled.

It's Super app to practicing Morse code. Nice UI, But I am looking for more than that UI. Please Make Sure Your Next Update Will Cover UI. Only small problem is bugs. Otherwise it's a good app. I like it. Thanks.

It was my fav before. But after the mandatory part of allowing access to all things and also access to internet make it unusable. Everybody doesn’t have net connection in all places all the time

DO NOT INSTALL THIS APP. recently wanted to try back but now, it is now bad. Why would you need to login just to do morse code? This would literally kill someone who doesn't have internet and is stranded in an isolated island. This shouldn't use the name Morse Code anymore. I was in black out for few minutes and I didn't have mobile data. I wanted to goof around with morse code but man, this is stupid.

I really liked using this app until an update came out requiring strange permissions (camera, phone calls, etc.) Which, whatever. But on top of that, they're requiring an account to be made? It's not worth it for a Morse code app, dude.

So I opened the app. It asked for permissions to my phone calls and files. And-like an idiot who wants my information stolen-I granted the permissions. Then the app shut down. When I open it back up, my phone says the app is not responding.

Dear developer, After the new update , it seems like you have made sign up mandatory & I hate it. Kindly please give an option to skip sign up for those who don't want to log in so that they can directly use the app

It was good before the update. Updated to the latest version recently and now they are asking to sign up, which seems to be unnecessary. The app is also asking for unnecessary permissions which looks suspicious.

Asking for really detailed permissions, won't let me loging and kept saying my password is incorrect even though it was just the letter A as password and worst of all, it keeps flashing words like incorrect password, invalid credentials like tf??

it stopped for a while if I play 3 codes at same time and there is an error u uploaded a and another a's Morse code differently.. and tell how the dots and dashes came for that number... it's easy to download an image and learn instead of using app

Just wish I could adjust the WPM for the flashing light mode and the keyboard mode. Otherwise its pretty great.

I liked the app before the recent update, when it is just a simple tool app. But now it requires special accesses to my phone, and you need an account to use it. It is a lot better before than now.

I had this app for awhile but haven't used in some time. I tried to use it again but I can't without giving it permission to make phone calls. Why does it need to make phone calls? Highly unnecessary and extremely suspicious.

Started it up and looked promising. However, after 3 tests it says you need to buy the full version. No warning, not enough time to see if it's a good app. Waste of time.

This is basically Google translate. It's a reference guide and translator for you. It's not an interactive teaching app like a game sim would be. (Used for about 30secs review)
