I have tried to sign in numerous times with my paid subscription number and zip. It is not recognizing my information. I emailed the MAZ on Sept. 6th. Received an automatic reply saying I would be contacted within 2 business days. I have yet to receive a reply even after I sent a follow up email. I have read numerous complaints along the same lines. What is the point of offering a free app to subscribers if the app will not let us log on???
I put in my subscription information and I cannot log in. I double checked my information is accurate. Lots of other people are having the same issue. Please fix!
The restore purchase button doesn't work so I can't even read the magazines I have paid for. Support wasn't any help either.
Even though the website shows my subscription as current, the app keeps telling me it is expired, so I am not able to read the magazine.
Nice enough if you also get the magazine. As old non geek guy too hard to use online. Always trying to make me pay to see what I already bought as magazine.

I pay for a subscription but it still won't let me read online and customer service has been of no help.

App don't work, won't recognize my purchases, nor download things I already purchased. Hope the paper mag shows up. Paid for a full 1 year subscription - M.E.N. says it only covers 10 months to ? ... Goofy.
This is an app to read a paid subsricption of the the mother earth news magazine. The app is free because you have to pay for the magazine, a special price to get it online, i think it was 4 dollars extra. The app works well for the magazine, took me 3 days to get it to accept my info but works well over all. Happy to have it to go an the customer service is ok just a little long getting back. Overall worth it and happy though
Have to cancel my subscription because app does not allow for pinch zooming. Only 2 times zoom. So unless you are reading it on a tablet don't bother. I tried on a Samsung note5 and it was still very difficult to read. Really mother earth news should publish through newsstand and save the money they are paying for this app. But they are probably too back to the earth to know what they are doing in android land. Come to think of it I should just order the hard copy so I can compost it. ;)
I'd love to read but for some reason the app doesn't open on my smart phone.
I really enjoy the flexibility of the app and the functionality of the stream and sharing options.
Anyone on here that subscribed for one year for $15.00 and then find out you were charged more? Saw my cc statement and was charged over $83 bucks. It's hard to read on my Samsung and I realized I prefer the print version much better. I'm going to get my money back.
Magazines download but won't open. No update since 2016? Ill use Zinio instesd.
Entered info exactly as specified, it didn't work. Un installed and reinstalled, it doesn't work! To bad, I'd much rather have it digital to take with me.
Misleading. I am a multiyear subscriber and am unable to unlock content. Nice guidance on how to enter acct number and zip code, but after much confirmation of correct entries...no hook up. Too bad, Stick to paper publications. Your attempts at electronic content are failing and disappointing.
Like the concrete forms and block making very good instructions and worth all the effort if you have little income.
I entered my account number, email and zip code like were listed. (I am a long time subscriber). But it kept telling me to re-enter my account number and zip code. Says account number and zip code not found. Uninstalled...
What a disappointment. This isn't a free app at all.

I love Mother Earth News!!! The app needs some 4 tweaks. It needs a way to "pin" and "unpin" for any given monthly magazine issue. e.g. I want to read only Oct; I could download/pin Oct, & unpin current month to make space for that month. Needs a setting asking where to save/download the subscription. I don't have a lot of room on my phone, but I do have a lot of room on my SD memory card. Sometimes the social media extras get in the way of reading the articles. And lastly, needs a "night mode".
I love Mother Earth news and was excited to hear about the free app. However, it never said that you had to pay to subscribe in order to see the content. Very disappointed.

Update: now I cannot log in. I have an active subscription, but I cannot access the content. Too bad. The content now seems easier to read. Initial review.: Love the content. Too bad I can't read it because it does not allow pinch zooming. That's really unfortunate. I am going to have to cancel my subscription.
