Cool app, unless you want dependability, consistency, or sharing outside the app. Sometimes it records in high speed except for the audio, other times it refuses to loop back and forth, and never can you get you data into a different app once this one decides to handle it incorrectly. This is abandon-ware and a poor attempt to keep up with the competition.

I really like the app so far! It works much better and plays smoother than camera mx liveshot. However i would love an option to capture still photos from the clips or automatically take a still photo at the same time as the clip. Alternatively, just the ability to take a photo separate to the motion clip but within the same app would prevent having to switch to my phone's own camera app to get some regular photos. I'm basically looking for an app similar to Huawei's/iphone /live photos

So much potential, utterly wasted. The ability to make quick gifs is great. The fact that I have to manually download everything one by one to get it into my Google Photos is not. Or that the auto mini gifs my camera takes clogs up the video library in the app, which is only viewable in the giant icons that only fit 2 at a time on screen, leaving me scrolling forever to find anything. Ugh.

It could be a perfect app, but too often it won't save output animation, you just press the button to record, stop that and that's it, it won't save and you'll never see your animation again. Edit 06/2020: App is constantly crashing and wont save any gif/video

Used to love it. It had a few usability issues, but is the only tool making live photos useful. Unfortunately, it has been abandoned and is no longer really even functional.

Content doesn't save. When in AR mode it shows it is filming but then as soon as I stop the video absolutely nothinf happens and I can't find the content anywhere. No guidance on how to use the app - thought it would be straightforward enough but it isn't. Am I missing something here with regards to how to use it properly?

I used to love this app. The stabilization feature was pretty awesome. The animation was super smooth. Unfortunately, this app doesn't appear to work with the new Pixel 3. It launched but isn't able to capture anything.

Now working on pixel 3 providing you install the December security patch. A much better alternative to Instagram's boomerang app. You get higher quality stabilised video and more options (speed, sound on, reverse, number of loops and gif exports). UI and the occasional export bug still needs some work.

AR Mode crashes instantly, I don't really get the point of the app as any clip I take is only a few seconds long, don't really need stabilisation for that length of time, any stock camera has stabilisation anyway. Also distorts image ratios. Maybe it used to be good?

This is a fantastic app with brilliant stabilization, but I really wish that it had a mode where you can take a video/make a GIF where only part of the video moves. I haven’t found a solid app that can do that.

Man... I loved it. But please add photo mode in which i can just click a photo and not video. And one more idea i want to give is that the characters like the dog,hen,alien.etc., if you just add the features to move them like in a console with movement sticks that is gonna be awesome... It would be sick!! Plz do something and improve it...

The loop back and forth feature is not working since a quite long time on this app and no update has fixed the bug yet. the loop freezes at 65% and never runs or saves 100%. I really love this app but freezing loops limits me from rating 5 star.

Once this was a great and fun app, now seems abandoned. Also on Asus Zenfone phones, it doesn't let you create looping video. It just stuck at half (doesn't reverse the video). I hope they can fix this and add more features.

Why's it essentially impossible to share/export a Motion Still to Google Photos? The iOS version of the app supports this by allowing export as a Live Photo, but for some reason the only option on Android is to export a video and live with the more cumbersome playback mode.

It works aight, but not well. It distorts the image a bit, depending on the phone, and uts not supported on Android 10 which is probably why I face these problems, terrible app overall. Don't waste your time on it. And its also not so clear where it puts the videos you take

Cri. M. Nov 24, 2018

It doesn't save anymore on Pixel 3, but was amazing on Pixel 2, AR worked perfectly even on complex terrains. Back to 5 stars when this is fixed. Minor issue: the exported GIFs should have the timestamp of the original video rather than the export

Tho. M. Sep 7, 2019

It's fun and plane recognition is really good. But could you please improve the export quality. A gif looks like being from the late 90s in quality and takes like 10MB per 5sec Video. The video quality is just horrible too.

HD replacement for boomerang found, could be better if there was filters as in Instagram. But it's just as perfect as it could be. Only problem is regarding saving vids, as they don't pop-up in my gallery. I'm forced to find them in file explorer

It's awful that on a Pixel 4 XL I have to download a two year old app to get some functionality back that Top Shot / Motion Pictures got rid of. But that said, this app despite its age still does the job well.

Lak. J. Sep 12, 2020

This app was awsm on my old phone but now on my new phone its not working right, there's no option to switch rear lenses and i am stuck with wide angle, and even front camera shows up squeezy, I think it might be because of the aspect ratio 21:9 on my new phone and this app doesn't support that..iguess😬

Sim. G. Apr 28, 2020

It's way out of date, and doesn't work properly, everything you record will most probably be corrupted and you won't be able to export the content from the app. You are better off with your phone camera app

J.. M. J. Jul 28, 2019

Once you attempt to capture a still or an AR video, the app crashes completely. It will create a file for the attempted shot, but it is blank. Unusable in its current form & on a phone that's benched in the ~top5 of Android devices...?

App worked with my pixel 2 but does not work with my Pixel 3. It records but doesn't actually save anything. I hope the developers fix this. I really liked the app

Ari. Y. Dec 31, 2018

Highl Unreliable app. On my Pixel 2, it doesn't save half the videos. All hardwork and timing is lost. Something wrong with Pixel version only. Works fine on Moto.

Gil. May 3, 2019

I am using pocophone F1 and I'm having issues with the reversed video, It stops in the middle or it won't loop properly, Long after that you guys still haven't update for the bug and issues with pocophone...

Ale. D. Oct 10, 2019

Loop back and forth option is broken for me. Video freezes when when playback direction changes to backward. Does not depend on mode or speed. Device: Xiaomi A1, Android 9 with all patches

Nob. A. Nov 3, 2018

The app was decent but the latest updates don't save clips on Pixel 3. Clearing cache and reinstalling doesn't work either. Not sure of it's utility at this point.
