Moto Mods Manager

(4/7/19)I am getting SO tired of this app crashing and just plain failing to do its job when it does run. I get a message at least twice a day that it has stopped, and I have gotten into the habit of restarting the mod every morning once it is fully charged so that it recognizes the battery pack (the factory basic model) is attached and will use it as instructed. (Moto z³ with Moto MD100B battery pack) UPDATE: Verizon's upgrade to the Pie OS has rendered this app COMPLETELY unusable! FIX IT!!!

I really like the innovaions that motorola offers, and think moto mods offer a cool option to give phone's greater versatility. However, motorola often drops the ball when it comes to software bugs. I have two power packs that would not charge when this automatic software from the manufacturer updated. Further, I've had to troubleshoot software on bluetooth connectivity issues with this phone, and it has come back to bad manufacturer software. Motorola, I'm still rooting for you, but fix this.

Not sure what happened to my battery mods, but it doesn't seem to want to charge my phone anymore. I've restarted it, updated, taken off and on again, restarted my phone, but still... Won't charge my phone and is truly frustrating. I can't even delete this app, to redownload it, to see if that fixes whatever the issues is. Thanks moto manager app, for not working!

Mod manager is not working. It won't open and the icon appears nowhere. The phone says the app is there but it is doing nothing. each device I connect to my phone gets recognized as existing but the phone says it isn't working. I used to be able to open the app but for some reason now it won't open.

Can't see the app or settings anywhere. Used to be able to set it with the mod mgr so phone held to an 80% charge, but the option is gone. There is no app icon to click either. At best, this is an irritating app that serves no obvious purpose.

Speaker, turbo pack, worked great. So I purchased the projector. Suddenly, the next morning... "pins not aligned"? Now, NIETHER WILL CONNECT! Never had a chance to use my brand new projector... YES, I'VE cleaned the contacts, restarted in safe mode, cleared the cache, and have even reformatted with a HARD RESET. YET, STILL NOTHING....😔

Moto Z4 on Android 10 experiences the following: When attempting to use the Moto Mod Projector, a secondary screen is displayed by the projector that cannot be accessed by user. Videos do not display on second screen and only shows the wallpaper with no icons. The device however loses functionality of the navigation bar at bottom of screen. This does not occur on the Moto Z Play Droid running Android 9. There were no issues with the Moto Z4 on Android 9.

The"manager" has crippled my phone. App icons have disappeared from the home screen. I have to verbally request the play store to open in order to access my apps. Verizon says the only fix is to reset to factory settings. Might as well get a new phone if I do that.

projector makes all videos in power point have a white bar along the top. Old version did not do this (I've had one since 2016). Now all of my presentations are boned. it is the projector, when it os off tje bideos display correctly.

Having the same problem as many others who have written reviews. Phone dies in under an hour. It powers off with 63% of the phone battery remaining AFTER the battery mod dies. Total time with a full charge on both the phone and mod is about 2 hours. 11 months ago when I bought them, I could go for 14+ hours. Went to check the battery mode with the Moto mods app and it just takes me to Google play with the option to uninstall it rather than opening up so I can adjust the settings.

To others who have the JBL Speaker Mod. This software works fine with Android 8.0 - if you have a higher version, this update won't work correctly because the author did not include 8.1 API in the update. This means if a instructions was given in 8.0 the answer is different in 8.1. So if 8.0 API, sent command charge battery, not use it. The answer in API 8.1 is Use Battery. For all Software API, Android must meet it or something won't work correctly.

Unable to connect Moto mods. I can't connect my Moto mods after an update. I even uninstalled the update and factory reset the phone. It is not working. None of my mods work they keeps saying not aligned correctly mostly. If I can get to work the phone starts freezing and unusable until I remove the mod.

Recently the Z3 stopped charging from thr addon battery pack and app disappeared. it showed up as being installed in Play Store. i uninstalled the mod manager with the intent to reinstall but it still says its installed. it worthless to me. there was sn update in June that apparently broke it.

It's hard to do anything on my phone because every minute I get interupted with a notification that the app stopped. I entered the report a problem option but nothing changed. Hard to watch YouTube, surf the net or even writing this revue because of the notification. Ready to throw this phone away and buy a galaxy.

Worse phone I've ever owned!!!! Up until I bought my Moto Z3 Play, I was a die-hard, Motorola fan... Every time I was considering a upgrade, Motorola was ALWAYS first... NO MORE!! This phone is nothing more than a novelty phone... fun to play with at it parties, by showing off different mods, if you've got them... Other than that, a total waste of money!! Poor design, not user friendly, and their fingerprint reader... I've spend more time cleaning it off, than I do using it...HATE IT

Uninstalled the updates trying to get my protector to work (stayed on Moto screen) immediately after uninstalling it decided to finally work after looking up and trying any fix other than doing a factory reset on my phone but still froze after about a minute the drivers have horrible bugs after 4 it 5 years you works think they could update their software to actually work the way it was designed

App icon shows up in Moto Z settings but there is no option to open the application. And there is no open option for moto mods manager in play store. It only shows Uninstall option. You have to long press the icon in top menu to open the application instead of tapping the icon on home screen.

I only bought the wireless charging mod. But 15 months after buying this phone the battery has completely given up. It now discharges completely in less than an hour of use which essentially makes this phone a 'landline'. It needs to be permanently tethered to a power source. I can only assume Motorola (Lenovo) put cheap crappy batteries in these phones while still charging a premium price (greed). It wouldn't be so bad except the battery is glued inside for 'waterproofing' purposes I assume. **I'M SO GLAD I DIDN'T BUT ANY OTHER MOTO MODS**. Since Lenovo bought Motorola from Google 'The Apple has fallen very far from the tree'. Samsung with get my custom again soon. I'm so, so sorry I chose Motorola.

I get a million useless notifications a day about "verifying audio mod compatibility" when in fact there is a case over my phone (and it's mod pins) constantly. I have cleaned the Moto mod pins and tried to freeze the app, but still it gives me notifications. Moto Z4 on Android 10

Worked perfectly fine until latest update, now my Tubo power battery mod no longer charges my phone at all. Moto please fix this app or all of ourmods are useless. I sell many of the moto z family of phones gor Verizon an d have owned the Z Force and now the Z3. The mods are a big draw and so is my personal experience with these good devices. I want to be able to continue to be a big prponent of it's uniqueness.

So tired of this. Moto projector stopped working on our old Moto play phone due to an update on the phone it's self. So we bought the new Moto z3 phones, the projector worked briefly on these until another update for the phones. Then nothing!! Tried getting help from Verizon stores. They told us to contact Motorola. Well guess what that didn't work cause Motorola told us to contact Verizon. I'm so frustrated right now! I have only been able to use my mod twice. Now they want us to buy a new one.

My battery is not charging my cell until after my cell looses 100 percent of charge, shuts off and I then must press the button on the back of external battery. Very frustrating when I count on my external battery to give my cell more battery time.

For the moto mod controller you should make a control config for specific games trying to play pubg is slow to respond and I have to use octopus to get my game on in pubg but it's not compatible with Google play at all please fix it would be nice to have custom controls for my on screen games and it would make the controller more versatile.

Ever since my z2 force updated to Android 9, I can't mess with the Moto instashare projector settings. I can't change the keystone and brightness like I used to prior to Android 9.

constantly forgets that the battery is connected and have to clear data on this trash app, which is required for the battery pack to work wouldn't be such a big deal if the battery in this phone wasn't defective, refurbished phones should be illegal for warranty replacement, because they have used batteries

MOTO Z & MOTO DROID I own both of these Motorola Phones and the MOTO MOD SPEAKER. The Only Bad thing I have to say about ANY of these 3 products, is that after a Few of Years Usage, the MOTO DROID's Battery Life Decreased. The MOTO MOD SPEAKER Switches Easily Between the Two Phones, and has a Wonderful Sound‼️ Nothing but Good Here‼️

Turbo Droid & Nexus, were excellent. Since Lenovo/IBM took over Motorola design, they are not feature filled, durable, or have reliable software. I've used them all. How sad this company, reinvigorated by Google, has been so mismanaged. Save frustration. DON'T BUY MOTO.
