Miss this app. The storytelling was amazing.
This is stupid
The dancing was more insult to my emotional injury. Tried to disable tried to stop. I touched the uninstal icon, when it first appeared. The install icon came on immediately to update the application. The Mexican hat was visible once again. This is a indirect form of Spam. Please, uninstal this application permanently. Respectfully yours, a retired senior citizen.
WHERE DID THE ANIMATED STORIES GO? I LOVED THEM >:-( From BEFORE Google got the player, The spotlight player and the two movies I've watched with it is to me the most innovative and enjoyable app I've ever installed on my phone. It's like you're in a bubble in the middle of an animated world and your phone is your window into that world. Move your phone up and you're looking at the sky, down and you're looking at the ground. As you turn a 360 you see the world that surrounds you. You can just explore the world, or follow the main characters to get to the end of the movie. It is SO MUCH FUN! Kudos to those who've put this together!
I loved the idea, however, since Regina Dugan, who was the head of the advanced research in Motorola and spearheading this project moved away to Google in 2014 and then to Facebook I am not expecting anything developed in this direction under Motorola umbrella. Because the whole team moved to Google some time in the beginning of 2014 they are developing them on a new platform under the Google brand. RIP Motorola Spotlight Stories!
More Motorola bloatware and most of isn't compaitable with my device, Moto X gen 1, no I didn't install. Had everything running at one time and the background data was crazy, what were they doing? More worrying one app took me to "Motorola" site which wasn't Motorola but some Chinese knock up phishing site emulating Microsoft for trading in old phones etc..My data, IMEI, MAC etc are all out on the frickin web. Cheers.
It was a great app and then it moved to Google. I haven't bothered to download the Google version because this old Motorola one is STILL not able to be uninstalled!! I saw Motorola responded at the beginning of June 2015, stating they would have something soon to allow us to uninstall... It's now almost April 2016. -_- I'd like to be able to use what little space I have on my Moto X since this app is a waste of space!
I don't even use this app please remove don't ask me to update want it gone so I can make room for apps I really want
If the app is moving to a new DIFFERENT application, why make moto users unable to uninstall it? 21mb being used for an app that will no longer be updated. EDIT: WE should be able to completely REMOVE THE APP, not just disable it, even if it is using a little bit of space, THAT IS SPACE, SPACE I WANT, especially because there is no expandable storage on Moto X 2013 phones!
New to get rid of this one before I even bother to download the new App. Until then disabled it.
My phone downloaded google spotlight on its own and now this one won't do anything and won't go away. Glad I bought extra storage but I still hate that it's wasting space
Totally useless since you have moved. I Cannot even download it as it is not available in my area apparently. Not happy.
So take it away please if you can't let users uninstall it themselves.
I use my phone as a phone and computer and assistant. Not for bloatware and games. Not a fan.
This used to be a five star app, but since Google took it over, it's become unusable bloatware.
Why can't I deleted the app. It is taking up space and you didn't work.
Has a bug that runs on my screen and spams my notification bar and I would have to root to get rid of this poor excuse of an app.
This app really should allow the option to disable it since it isn't really useful. At all.
The app is intrusive, the bug pops up at random times. I usually have it disabled. The actual gameplay of the app is decent though.
If you moved to google its good, please let us uninstall this app permanently...
Around 600MB space is being used by this app,which is too much.After uninstalled other apps like moto voice stops working also android avatar stops working...Fix it...please
Motorola always has tried to go above the call to bring unique features and products that are not only functional, but artistic. Spotlight does not disappoint.
Make it uninstallable, takes up more space than it should and only has three video things
Didn't know this was installed until I saw the little hat floating around my screen. Brilliant and fun little app.
It was so easy to watch. Now I cannot even watch it. Before I just went to spotlight, now when I do it says I ha.ve to download all of them an it won't let me unless I am at a WiFi. Loved it before. I can't even watch it after I downloaded it from Google play. I got to download each one now.
When they moved it to Google you had to download the stories that takes up A LOT of space. It was WAY better before they moved to Google. So it is okay.
No way to uninstall and it does nothing now that Google has taken over with its own app.
Never used it wasted my space and now I cannot use it at all and I cannot root it to get rid of this 'bloatware'
You've reported via reply to another user's review on 6/6/15 there'd be an update shortly... due to the app's obsolescence in this version. Where is it? Did Motorola decide to leave us behind for good with a completely useless zombie app *still* filling up precious space? Do you even care? Most kind, indeed. I want to get rid of this! !
Sure wish I could delete this app. l have never used it and wish I could remove it from the phone totally. In my opinion it is just for phone zombie for idle entertainment.
