Garbage app - you can't see a map of the parking zones like other apps offer, and just parking a car requires more steps than other parking apps. Also the app is constantly accessing your phone's GPS in the background, even when you're not using it. Worst of all, you are forced to pick the duration of your park - you can't start a timer and then end it when you're finished (like you can with other apps such as Parkmobile).
The space number on the meter didn't work when input into the app. The meter had two different numbers from the back and the front, luckily one of them ended up working. We could have gone to a different spot but we were parking at an EV charger. App doesn't notify your session ended or tell you if it's over. I thought it was still charging me so I almost opened a new session. The app is ugly and could have better interface and design. Curly font overlaying other text is awful looking.
Let's see, EXTREMELY dated UI, hasn't been updated in months, plenty of bad reviews highlighting bugs, targets an Android version that's 4, almost 5 years old. Not seeing any upsides to this. But hey! City can claim it's made for GR. Great. Can't wait for the next version of Android to warn me that this app "targets an older version of Android" everytime I open it cause I don't see it being updated anytime soon. 👎👎
Seriously the worst thing ever! Absolutely hate this app. It doesn't notify you when your time is about to run out. I have an android phone so I'm not sure if Apple users expirence this too but it doesn't allow you to click on renew session once time is up you have to physically type it in again and hope that you remember all the numbers. Its very inconvenient and don't have time for all at!
Great concept and its easy to use, but the app won't launch while a parking session is active. Making it difficult to modify the session. Then when the app goes to warn me my session is about to expire the app just crashed. Very frustrating! I want to like this, I hope this gets fixed.
Works well most of the time, but I had a lot of issues with the authentication of my debit card, and it is very finicky when it comes to wifi. It will connect, but usually crashes the app. Frustrating because I have to use the app every day for parking during school.
I have recently installed this app on my new phone. No other apps have been causing issues but once this has been installed. The phone freezes so obviously there was nothing wrong with my other phone. This app has bugs that need to be address. Grand Rapids should of kept "parkmobile" And Norton refers to this app as an identity threat!
App malfunctioned and said there was an error. So I used my credit card at the meter. Checked my phone and the app showed I had an active parking session. So I paid twice once on the meter and another time on the app for the same spot at the same time. Horrible!
Mostly works fine, except when you end your parking session early it continues to send you updates as if you didn't stop the session yet. Please fix! (Edited to add: I have not experienced any of the other issues users report. Using this app has otherwise been a breeze for me.)
absolutely the worst parking app, have been given 4 tickets because the app never works or registers that parking started. doesnt work when you are connected to wifi, when it does work works so slow that you use an extra 5 minutes on just waiting screens. park mobile was so much better i hope the hundreds of people who hate parking downtown are worth whatever nickle was saved switching to this junk
Simple, quick download & install. Pretty straightforward, although the app keeps popping up that the app is for an older version of Android. No updates appear to be available. But the thing works fine!
Terrible. People dont care or dont check these. Paid for parking and got a ticket not even 10 minutes AFTER i paid and had to call the city to get it taken off. Also why doesnt this app have notifications? And why does it have to have you keep restarting a new session over and over for the same spot?
Too many layers to click through to start the parking session. Also need to make the zone stickers larger on the parking meters so that when it's raining real bad I can see from inside my car to start the session.
Easy, quick way to pay and keep track of the meter. I love that I can add time remotely and that there is a "wallet" function that automatically reloads when it gets depleted.
This app is a scam. It doesn't let you extend your time past the absurd 1 hr parking until the time has fully run out. Just a way for the city to extort money out of you if you forget to renew.
The slowest app known to human kind. We now have to use this app in Grand Rapids, MI in order to use our parking meters. It's is the absolute worst app I have ever used. It has repeatedly not worked or taken such a long time to load it is unusable. Fix this or close down and let someone who can design an app take over.
No longer allowing me to load my motu wallet. Customer service blames it on my cards, I don't think so! I had already deleted and added cards again.
Not going to use this app, literally because the agreements are too long to read. The inconvenience of reading the terms and conditions is greater than the inconvenience of occasionally stepping out to feed a meter.
DO NOT USE THIS APP: The city is using this to give out tickets. I found a meter maid waiting nearby my car as my timed session was running out.
This app is %×+#/\% terrible. Just get the message "sorry could not process your request at this time" over and over. Finally gave up and just went somewhere else. Get something that actually works, GR. 0/5 stars.
When you create a parking session it defaults to 1 minute of parking. Was in a hurry saw the 1 pop up, hit pay, and came back to a $20 ticket. Bought 1 minute of parking rather than 1 hour. Why design an app to defeat to 1 minute?
Freaking ridiculous, almost made me get a ticket because it stopped working and wouldn't let me add more time to the meter. Thankfully I made it back in time
This app is complete garbage. Why is there a maximum option and why can you not extend your time before it runs out? I hate that my city switched to using this parking app.
a senior citizen paying at the meter for the first time can get parked faster than an expert using this app. that said, it works. eventually.
Paid for parking with the app, and when I came back to my car the app said I still had 10 minutes left. I saw the actual meter said 0 and I had a parking ticket on my window.
It is frigid outdoors. So much easier to punch in numbers in the warmth of my car than dropping coins with the cold wind blowing down my back.
There are too many steps every time I want to park. The common case of "same car, pay from wallet, here's the zone I'm in" shouldn't take 6 screens
Apparently this app is not easy to use. I thought I paid for the meter for the rest of the day but money was never taken out of my account and I had a parking ticket waiting for me.
Should not have to prepay for a set time. Let us start and stop, and pay for time used. This is a major step backwards from ParkMobile
Cities use this to extort money from its constituents. It rigs the system to give you a ticket right as your meter expires. Even as you're trying start the new session, down to the second, multiple times the app freezes, as in the back button and home button don't work and the only thing you can do is force shut off of your phone. The city says, the meter has a time limit on it so your ticket is valid yet you paid the full time. Funny how the only tickets I've ever gotten have been within 1 min.
