Does the job, the community is fantastic. Would love not to have the map not zoomed out to planet view every time I hit the back button, but otherwise great.

Shouldn't be 100% offline. Also the map doesn't load the pins and I can't see the route I just added. I click and get a blank screen.

What happened? Not working at all after onx bought it 😔 can't view anything...routes, pictures, etc. Even after I downloaded entire state. Booooo

*redacted* PC cancel culture strikes again. This time directly at the heart of climbing history/culture. Anything that has a route with an even remotely controversial name gets redacted. Will be looking for another app that preserves the history, regardless of how ugly it may be.

Surprisingly janky app for the most popular climbing guide site in the world? Also, can you seriously not download areas in Canada by province? I have to download the entire nation's recorded routes? Lol

Excellent and useful source of climbing information. I just wish it allowed us to post our pictures.

Apps interface could be improved, "anonymous coward" function feels dated, leaving comments and area ownership is unclear.

Love MP, members comments are so helpful in choosing climbs and map feature is great too. Thank you!

Good resource for finding new climbs, the interface feels like it was developed for Windows XP not a fan

I love this app. its a great alternative to a guide book if you dont have one for the area you're climbing. the one thing i would like to see changed is adding the ability for everyone to submit photos and comments. it would make it much easier to obtain knowledge on routes (some routes are nowhere to be found even though the area is pretty well documented) and would make it more like an online community. 🤞 thanks for the awesome app though!!!

2 stars because it's not crashing, otherwise nearly worthless. Extreme lack of features or functionality. Examples: Can't filter from map view. If not in map view, no idea where you're searching, both because you can't get to map view, but also because it cuts of the names of the areas. Can't download individual pictures. More such complaints mean that multiple times I've tried to use this app to only get lost and not find a single wall.

Great app overall. You can download areas, descriptions, and photos to view offline, which is what I mostly use it for. It is easy to add ticks, to-dos, and ratings to climbs. The app could be improved if I could see the rating breakdown for each climb. It is not super useful for browsing and using the forums. It sometimes makes me download photos for a whole area when I want a smaller sub-area or even just a single climb. overall though, great app.

Great crowd sourced information. I have two improvements to suggest: 1) download all images for offline viewing. Now, when you're off the grid, images are not available. Crux there! 2) Cross-reference other information sources. I see many bits of conflicting info when considering older printed guides. The validation of FA claims, for example, is clearly non-existent and falsehoods are making into the record. Overall, great app! I use it frequently!

App provides a lot of quick, good information on climbing routes. Makes it easy to find routes of various grades nearby or plan a trip. Needs a better interface with a menu to clearly, conveniently, and easily access partner finder and account details. Also, haven't seen a way to add photos or information to routes conveniently through app (would be nice to be able to report route issues, post lost/found gear, and other more recent information about areas visited).

It's a great place to find routes, and the community is fairly friendly. The App isn't as friendly as the webpage, it won't let you upload climbs, pictures, or comments without being on a desktop, which can be inconvenient. But its good for personal notes, marking places you want to go, and marking where you've been.

Could be slightly more optimized with equal functionality as the desktop page. I understand a lot of the limited functionality has to do with it being available offline, but I feel like some things could change. Being able to upload photos to pages would be a good start. Otherwise navigation is easy and all the crucial info is there.

It's an OK app. There are lots of great features but there are nearly endless shortcomings. You can't full screen posted videos, you can't leave comments on routes, you can't submit routes or areas, every time you hit backspace in the forums it scrolls you to the top of the page, and it is excessively prone to crashing. Don't have the audacity to ask me to rate your app 5-stars when there are a pantload of problems that you know about and refuse to fix.

This app has a lot of climbs marked on it so you can find a place to climb pretty much wherever you live! The only 2 things I don't like is, that some of the approaches are not very descriptive. I went to this place and it said it was a 10 minute hike from your car to the base of the climb. What they didn't say is it was all uphill and the last bit was barely a trail full of bee's and ticks. Second stay out of the forums. Most of the community is very mean. Especially if your younger then most.

Please change it so we can comment on routes/areas on mobile. Then it would be perfect.

The app is good but more countries need to be divided into provinces/states.

Like the application but its buggy. Have to uninstall and reinstall every few weeks. It also makes me re-download areas that I have downloaded multiple time when looking for routes. Wish there was more ways to make suggestions and make notes about some routes, as the descriptions are lacking at times. Example, "go to big tree and turn northeast." I know you can do it on a desktop or laptop but most users are using a mobile device nowadays and I would like to make comments while in the field.

Constantly freezing. Impossible to force an area update to see new routes. Many features still only exist on the website. Overall this is the most frustrating app I use, but also the most important. I'm sick of the search feature freezing after 2 characters. Please fix the bugs, and allow picture upload and new routes from the app.

Surprised this app hasnt taken off more than it already has. Seriously needed for anyone who climbs outdoors. It would be cool if more topography was added to the pics so you could tell what route is what. This isnt quite as good as a guide book yet, but it has potential to be way better.

Too good to be true but yet it is. Almost as good as the guidebooks thanks to a community of contributors and the ability to download climbing areas onto your phone. With one click I can download the thousands of routes in the red river gorge. I haven't fully used it but also really nice that it lets people efficiently look for climbing partners

Lots of bugs introduced in the last few months. Search often freezes after entering a few characters. Seems to lose my downloaded areas sometimes, and the download button doesn't work. Workaround: from the initial page, in the bottom section, tap the name of an area to force a "sync"

Great app for adventuring. Would love to see it sponsored/a paid app (small fee) and in turn be updated more. Maybe even have a few people that climb around areas just to check directions/ratings/descriptions and upload photos. This would make Mtn Project much more accessible and safe in my opinion. Overall great access to loads of climbing!

Great for finding routes that you've already looked up on a computer. Wish it had more functionality such as being able to more easily find partners, edit your profile, etc. Seems like you need to mostly do all your research from a computer and use the app for on site.

Was a 5 star rating, however I downgraded it because: [Bug] - App crashes after typing 2 letters into route search bar (verified on multiple phones) [Feature] - It would be really nice if the user profile was implemented in the app. The app gets the job done for crag/route finding, but user profile features isn't much to add and it would complete the app. [Note] - If the dev team wants user feedback on bug/feature testing, get in touch and I'd be happy to help.
