Move to iOS

Helps but doesn't manage rollback / creates duplicates: It failed to run, that was the message I got, I tried to run it again... I ended up with all my mail accounts setup twice, a lot of duplicates and I am not sure what failed (Facebook and Deezer didn't sync that I worked out). It did help (easier to delete a duplicate than create a new record/account) but not a finished product.

Easy to use and worked pretty quickly for me (I transferred about 14gb of photos which is all I cared about). HOWEVER, once the iPhone was setup this way, it started randomly crashing and restarting until it was totally bricked about 2 weeks on. I've got a replacement phone on the way but given that I don't know whether the bricking was due to the data transfer or some other issue and bad luck, I'm going to refrain from using the app again...

After four failed attempts each taking over 8 hours I can definitively say this app is pointless. Why not just use the cord that is included with the iPhone and just transfer the data that way rather than over Wi-Fi...!? Every time there would be about 3 hours remaining in my transfer and I would receive a message that there was a connection error. Just stick with Android or start fresh on an iPhone.

The app failed multiple data copy attempts with no information on how to address whatever issue it was having. At some point it actually started copying data. The phone had about 10GB of data with transfer taking over 5 hours, then stopping at 1 minute remaining for the next 3 hours. In the end all it did is created 3 copies of all the contacts. I ended up purchasing a 29 dollar windows app, which completed the transfer in under 30 minutes over USB.

It transferred a 1.6 gigabyte file in about a minute. When I went back to transfer more files, we couldn’t find the app on my apple product even though it says it’s installed. With all the 1’s this app has, how can it still have a 3 in the overall review? Well, when I can find it, it works super fast. Better than Transfer My Data which crashed after 20 minutes of loading files. For this app to transfer that much info in lightening speed from Android to IOS is rather amazing. But I still can’t process how it garners an average of 3 with all the 1 reviews. For speed I give it a 5 but for not being able to locate the app on my device anywhere, I’d like to give it a goose egg.

Who the heck designed this thing??? Very poorly thought-out app. Terrible because it does not work!! I have been fiddling with this this for the last 24 hours almost to no avail, trying to copy over my information from my current Android Galaxy S9 to the new iPhone 13. What the heck is this??? This app will suddenly drop in connection at any given time when you are trying to convert your files over. Then you have to start all over again and it has made NO progress. Seriously flawed app.

Imagine 13 hours to move your contacts and messages to a new phone. Well you don't have to anymore because Apple has you covered with this app. I knew I wouldn't be able to get some stuff between phones, but no joke, it's everything. My apps don't go over. My notes don't go over. I can't even try to move photos or videos over, because the wait time is 24 hours (good luck not having a phone for that long). Best part is I have a good internet connection. Ive been trying to set up for 6 days now.

I've used this app before and it worked fine, but now it doesn't work at all. I'm trying to transfer my messages to my iPhone but I repeatedly get an "unable to migrate" error on my phone. It's so frustrating. Do not use this app. Update 4/11: Sometimes, it does connect and is in process of transferring but it takes a ridiculously long time (20-30 hours for 5 GB of data). This app needs to be fixed.

At this point it's pretty well noted that the app basically doesn't work. What the creaters could probably easily do is allow transfer of small amounts of data at a time, so when it inevitably fails, you can pick back up where you left off--whether it be transferring photos, contacts, etc. At the moment it forces an all or nothing strategy, which pretty clearly explains its current rating. Very sad that there aren't better options.

Completely useless! A total waste of time! It just does not work! I have tried numerous times to transfer my data from my Huawei p30 to my new iPhone 11, and every time all seems to be going well until I suddenly get a transfer error message just before the transfer completes. I have followed all the advice on forums, websites and YouTube videos, but with the same infuriating result.. It would be great if it worked - but it doesn't, so don't waste your time. Looking for an alternate right now...

This app does not work. I have never NOT been able to transfer data from my Android to iPhone. I tried numerous times going through setup and having to reset my iPhone and start from scratch. Deleted a bunch of stuff so that the transfer size was smaller...didn't matter. Went to the Apple store, they couldn't help. Went to Verizon, they said it's a known issue with the app. I wasted an entire weekend trying to get the transfer to work properly only to give up and return the iPhone.

Seriously, don't waste your time with this app. I tried transferring data from a moto x4 to an iPhone 13 and the process never completed. The app takes 10-15 minutes just to get the phones connected, even when I was on the same private wi-fi. Once finally connected, the estimated time to complete was inaccurate. The iPhone showed 11 hours to complete the data transfer, but proceeded through the first "six hours" in about one hour. The next five hours was about correct, but it got to one minute remaining and never got past it. I waited thirty minutes additional minutes before giving up. Not sure what I'll do now, but save yourself from this headache.

Horrible, I can't get it to work. I've tried restarting both phones, turning on wifi only and turning everything else off including mobile data and Bluetooth and other background apps. It gets hung up at "1 minute remaining". I even let it sit like that overnight for about 7 hours and still nothing. This is why I was afraid to switch to apple and I'm tempted to take the phone back at this point.

This app doesn't work. I'm only trying to transfer my messages from a pixel 3a and get a transfer error every time. The transfer makes it to about 35-40min remaining and dies. I've tried every "fix" I can find on the internet, all with the same result. Both phones are plugged in, SIM removed from Android, no apps running in the background, phones connect on private wifi, Fail. This really shouldn't be so hard.

It's a great concept but the user experience is terrible, the time remaining kept increasing, and in the end it just said that transfer wasn't successful. What a waste of time. For anyone transfering images and other big files, I suggest you save yourself the trouble and not do it. Transfering contacts and other small things worked relatively fine though.

Your 0hone has to be at 50% no matter what! Even if you have it plugged in, it won't work. Had to sit around for 30 minutes at the store before I could do the transfer and set everything up. Very poorly designed. Also, iPhone gives you a usbc to lighting cable so why isn't there a wired connection option?? Definitely need to do some major upgrades to this app.

I have never been so frustrated with an app to the point of writing a review, but this app is NOT effective at all in transferring texts and mms messages to an iPhone. It appears the process stalls out once it tries to convert an mms or group text. Was looking forward to the transition to ios but have been very disappointed by this experience. Just be upfront if your app can't do this.

I do not understand the hype about iPhone and Apple. They are not even able to write a tool to move over to the other side without problem. My first try stopped in the middle and I did a second transfer. Now I have all my contacts doubled... I checked the option to transfer files, but decided not to. Now I have to uncheck about 50 checkboxes each time. No chance to undo the files option anymore. Then speed, it said 20 minutes, then 2 hours. 2 hours later it says 3 hours...

By Apple they said. It'll be great. This app is by far the worst I have ever used. I have been trying to transfer my data to my new iPhone 13 mini for more than 24 hours but it keeps giving unrealistic estimations of finish time and crashing at the last minute. Finally I gave up and figured I would do it manually only to discover some things DID transfer and I now have 7 duplicates of contacts and my photos are all over the place. Plus only a few apps moved over. So upset

This app consistently fails after 10% ‐ 60% has been transferred from Samsung S8 to an iPhone 13 Pro. An error msg occurred on the Android app with no error code or explanation of the problem. Once I gave up and continued the iPhone set‐up, I discovered that some of the data actually did transfer (not sure how much?). The contacts were duplicated 6 or 7 times due to the failed attempts. Very poor app. I expected more from Apple. I would fire the development team for this app.

I am tech support and help clients move to IOS. And let me tell you I have tried using app over 1000+. I have never been able to transfer simple things like photos or important Documents. First of all the estimation are always wrong. The app say 15 minutes until completed . But after an hour. You get an error and have to start all over... waste of time. And it leaves the clients unsatisfied of move to IOS. Especially after such a hype to get an IOS device.

Dumpster fires provide warmth, this app is far less useful than that. Do you have spare time that you'd like to exchange for frustration? This app is for you. Do you have a need to have data move from Android to iOS? Keep looking, this app can't do that. Once you troubleshoot the VERY buggy connection successfully, you'll then learn that a "successful" transfer is neither successful nor a transfer. I hate you both Apple and Android. Absolutely awful app.

Frustrating I downloaded this app for my S21, and once I tried transfering apps, pictures and messages to my new 13 pro max, it did nothing. I waited over 4 hours for it finish. The process said it would be fairly quick about 30 minutes. But in that last minute it was stuck for hours. I even tried transferring less files and still the same result.

I had to wait 6 hours for my data to transfer over and there was 1 minute left but after almost 2 extra hours, it still said that there was 1 minute left. I got fed up and decided to start all over. I'm trying to transfer one file at a time and I keep getting an error. This is so frustrating and really put me off from keeping the iPhone. I just might stick with Android.

Here's your warning... don't switch, if this app is any indication of how the rest of your Apple experience is going to be, run as far away as you can with your Android still intact. This App is the only way to transfer messages, calendar and other data. It took over 5hrs to transfer data (in fast wifi!). It has said 1min remained, for the last 8hrs of trying to transfer now. Complete junk! If you really must have an iPhone, plan on doing all your transfers manually. Save yourself the agony.

Retried it multiple times and it kept saying that the transfer failed due to an error. Tried transferring data from my Google pixel 4 to my new iPhone 13 all day, and finally when it was working and had 11 minutes left, my old phone had a low battery. Even after I plugged it in, the app kept saying low battery and wouldn't let me continue. Waste of my time and unfortunate because I really wanted to keep my old messages, luckily my photos are backed up through Google photos.

I was nervous when I saw all the bad reviews but I REALLY wanted to keep my contacts so I tried it and the first time, it did its thing for half an hour and then gave me an error message. Then I went back and undetected a bunch of files I didn't even realize it was trying to transfer from my old Samsung and it took about an hour but, yes, all my messages and contacts were moved onto my new IPhone.

Terrible app. Been trying to transfer phone for a week. Have installed and reinstalled app 10 times. It won't connect sometimes and then other times will connect but never finish transfer. Get error message everytime that it has connected. Terrible app from Apple. Not making me feel good about switching to their garbage products and platform.

I'd give this app ZERO stars if I could. You shouldn't need to literally dedicate an entire DAY if your life to allow this app to switch your data. And then constantly touching the screen on top of it to keep it because if it goes dark too long, it resets. Awful app. I could have set this up faster manually than 9 hours and still have to download additional stuff.
