This application can only be used on DSC-RX0M2/DSC-RX100M7. (As of July 2019)
■ Smooth gimbal-like image stabilization
- With this application, you can create smooth videos using equipment that does not require a gimbal. *
In addition, since image stabilization is performed when editing, you can adjust the amount of image stabilization. For example, you can increase the magnification ratio of a video to increase the stabilization effect.
* The angle of view becomes narrow compared to when the video was recorded.
■ Intelligent framing
- If you change the aspect ratio of a movie from 16:9 to 1:1 to match the specifications of a social media site, the subject in the video is automatically framed using the lens information of the camera so that the subject does not frame out.
In addition, a distorted image can be corrected (projective transformation) as if the subject was captured from the front when framing.
■ Multi-aspect editing
- Since you can create videos with multiple aspect ratios from one video file, you can efficiently post to various social media sites.
■ Playback speed change and trimming
- By changing the playback speed, you can create impressive videos.
- With the trimming function, you can freely edit the length of a video.
■ Notes
- Using Imaging Edge Mobile, you can transfer videos that you want to edit with the Movie Edit add-on from your camera to your smartphone.
- Supported operating systems: Android 6.0 to 10.0
- This app is not guaranteed to work with all smartphones/tablets.

The app works for the ZV 1 but it does not export 4K. If it would export 4K it would be perfect. And don't get confused by the one star reviews, the app works quite well for the supported cameras. Actually I think it's not the app but the camera who is not exporting the gyro data. The ZV 1 is much newer than the app version but it works. So it looks it is the missing data in the files. So if you like to get your cam supported you should lobby for a firmware upgrade.
My camera isn't a shooting device that is compatible with this app, despite being a Sony device (Rx10iv). Not sure what camera IS compatible with this app - looking at the reviews not many are. Seems a waste of time and Sony don't seem to care about resolving the issue. Best to look for a third party app.
Massive room for improvement with additional support. I shoot on a sony A7 and none of my files are supported. But i really like the sound of this app and look forward to new patches.... Please fix fast!
Videos shot with A7C in any format and Steadyshot Off (and ON too) and downloaded through the Imaging Edge app to its Default Video folder(on the SD card in my case) do not appear in Movie Edit at all. All my other videos do appear, byt not the Sony ones.
Tried using with Alpha 7C. Videos that are in the supported formats, transferred to Imaging Edge Mobile, which show up in Imaging Edge Mobile, do not show up in this app. No setting for telling app where to look for video files. Where is it looking for files?
It just says that the video was not record by a camera that is supported by the app, even for a video recorded using an alpha 6300, this app is complete rubbish, and an utter waste of time...
this app doesnt even support the files from my A7iii, i was hoping to use this as a quick way to see my files out of camera before editing them in adobe, but in the mean time please update this app
Imported video from my a6400 using Imaging Edge Mobile and this app tells me I can't edit that video because it was recorded by a camera not supported by this application. What?
I really hope the a6300 files will be compatible soon. This could be a game changer in vlogging and fast editing for TV. Make it happen guys!
Doesn't work with files filmed on the ZV-1. Which is strange given its a vlogging camera and this would have been ideal.
Generally it is okay. Please make it open for other videos, not only from a Sony camera. Okay, you can do this for the people that has an activated a Sony camera, but do this

Does not even support their own brand of Action Camera Sony HDR AS50..What joke is this? Other third party providers softwares can even work well if not better than their own branding Name...What a let down SONY, we have this hardware and their Image Edge Editing software that replaces Play Memories and then this Movie edit add-on could not import in the videos created from the own Action Camera from Image Edge.
Don't work I'm using an a6400 and all it ever says is the device is not compatible wast of space on the phone I will definitely will bee tacking it off my device.
Its nearly impossible to import any video to edit on the fly now, even footage from both my sony Zv 01 and my sony A7c ... please improve the software please ...

Could be a really useful app if it worked with more than three cameras
What a waste of time, video taken with a Sony rx10 is not something this program can handle. What the f...... is that about
Says ILCE-7C is supported but it doesn't work with videos taken by that camera!
Do not support any Kind of Video files, What kind of Videos do you support?
Unfortunately, this app doesn't work with Sony A6000 and Sony HX80.

no one can read obviously- supports RX0M2 only.

Can't edit videos captured with the Sony Action Cam FDR-X3000 At least support all Sony Products
I like that I can stabilize the video from the ZV-E10, that fixes the problem with the heavy crop of the Active Stab mode. However, I cannot find a method to export the stabilized video in 4k, why can't we export in 4k? Also, I see no ability to save the settings for what clips to include, trim, zoom level. Can only export to HD and then lose all settings. This app could be amazing. I would even pay for more abilities such as Facebook or YouTube streaming with a connected camera.
