This app uses Accessibility services. Flutter uses accessibility services to retrieve and read the window content to obtain name of the movies when you're using supported streaming apps. Once the title is obtained, the app will show its rating on your screen.
What does Flutter do?
Some of the video streaming apps do not show you ratings of the title that you want to see, be it a movie, a documentary or a TV show. When you want to find out if a movie is good or bad before watching it on your streaming services, you would probably search it on Google or other websites that show movie ratings reviews. Flutter makes your life easier by showing you the movie ratings directly on your screen without typing a single letter.
Flutter also offers a support for Text to speech and speaks out the movie rating which is very useful for someone with disabilities.
Is that all Flutter does?
That is the primary functionality of the app. But it has much more to offer. Flutter provides an in-built search to find new movies, TV shows to watch. You can create your own collections based on your personal choices, browse your history and keep a list of everything that you like. Keep up with the latest version to get the new features.
How does Flutter work?
Flutter is smart and lightweight (just over 2MB in size). It uses Android's accessibility feature to get movie names from streaming apps. It looks up the movie on the internet, gets basic details and accurate ratings, and shows you the ratings on your phone instantly without any hassles. Whenever you open a page of a movie or a TV show, you'll see the ratings on the bottom-right side of your screen.
This movie rating app doesn't ask for your contacts or personal details, bother you with push notifications. It’s active only when you're browsing the content on video streaming apps and it will sleep peacefully the rest of the time to save as much battery as possible.
How to make it work?
Flutter is brilliant but you're in charge! You need to enable Flutter's accessibility in Accessibility settings on your phone. But there's an easier way. Open the app, click the button and it will open up settings for you. Enable it. Sit back, relax and enjoy watching your movies!

Concerns?
Flutter might not have accurate ratings for recently released movies and tv shows. The app does not support all the languages so it may not show ratings for some of the titles.

Great app. But I am facing a problem on my Redmi Phone with MIUI 12. The app only works the first time just after installation. After I close the app once, it stops working and asks accessibility permission even though it already has the necessary permissions. Even when I give the permissions again it is not able to detect it and doesn't work. I have to reinstall each time I need to use it. Please look into it if possible.
Flutter is the best app that I never actually see. It just hide silently in the background, and every time I go to my Netflix, Hulu or Amazon app, and want to imdb a movie(which is every time) the imdb rating just hovers over. Very convenient, consistent and considerate.
The app works well. Although there is room for improvements. Like the overlay is bit inconsistent if you choose to go back to same title again. Having said that it's really funny the developer literally included the word flutter in the title of the app. Probably the app developer really wanna showcase he developed the app using flutter !! Developer was quick enough to add little bit of more insight. App is written in Kotlin and open source. So I believe the name flutter is merely coincidental.
Great app, but sometimes cannot find the movie, even the first or only search result is a hit! Also the tap to search option still opens the browser, when my preference is to open imdb app. Hope it will be fixed in future!
Very handy. I find it totally hassle free and comes in very useful to explore when you are out of familiar things to watch or feel like browsing new content without switching to imdb. Best match percent by Netflix usually doesn't make sense.
Doesn't work anymore. When the app works its great. But now I have to manually open the app to search for ratings, the ubble doesn't appear anymore. Even after data wipe and reinstall no changes.
Really useful for Netflix as I value IMDB ratings above their in-house system. Sometime it's does show the pop-up overlay rating for certain films (e.g. The film 'Cargo' 2018) yet I can search for it in the Flutter app.
thank you so much for this brilliant app. It makes surfing Netflix so much easier. Now I can easily filter out the garbage, and keep checking out new shows until I find something decent. Nice that also works with Amazon Prime
This app is so underrated. This is a really nice app. The developer haven't put any ads inside the app . So it is a ad free experience which is amazing . The only way the developers can earn money is through the users donation . I highly recommend this app . Support the developers so that they can add more features in this app.
Great to help in picking what to watch on netflix! Update 3/8/22 Does not seem to work with new Netflix release.
nice idea. execution needs help. cant get it to work with netflix. when you toggle the apps you want supported it does not tell you which colour = active. just grey and black.
Nice integration with the IMDB app if you have that one installed as well. You can click the flutter rating popup and have it open the relevant page inside the IMDB app showing you more details and reviews.
Good app, useful to get ratings for netflix. Only issue is sometimes the ratings don't show. Seems to be if you use the search function.
Big help. It seems everything on Netflix is 5 stars. This app is a big help weeding out the good stuff from the not so good stuff. The fact that it is embedded in the Netflix app makes it cool and easy to use.
Great app to install and use but sometimes it shows incorrect ratings(after updating too) but still great job done by developers and i know they can't cover every single tv shows/movies so ya keep it up guys
There are a few movies and tv shows on which flutter have no info bt other than that its an amazing app with a lot of customization options. Also, i have a question, are all the ratings IMDB ratings?

I liked flutter more before it started sending me notifications asking me to rate it. If that keeps happening I will uninstall it despite very much enjoying its functionality.
Just what you need to save you from spending loads of time watching a poorly produced movie or series. Fast pop up rating too.
Super helpful! Really helps you pick Netflix content. Much better than their own internal recommendations.
It is great but sometimes it doesn't show rating of some movies I don't know is it because of this app or my mobile or internet but please fix this and please provide with ratings of all movies btw nice work..
Uninstalling. Doesn't work with the new Netflix update. I loved the app though. Top stuff. Please fix it and I ll be back.

Amazing. Super helpful. Constantly use it to weed through all of this stuff to watch. We need the Disney+ app added though! ASAP!
Worthless app..... wasted time while installing it. Not working with Netflix and hotstar which the app is build to work for..
Worked for the first time but after i gave it a restart, it asked to turn on accessibility settings which i had already done and is still turned on. My phone is redmi n9
Worst app ever - Shows incorrect ratings . Ratings are given by something called OMDB ( lol ) Even incorrect films ? Yea. Shows rating of someother movie . Totally unreliable app !
Pathetic app. The app stop working after restarting the phone. It ask re activate the app. I reactivated the app but still it doesn't working. Stupid app.
Very little utility. Only IMDb ratings (Rotten Tomatoes, Metacritic adds make it more useful); no ability to configure the timing of the bubble (nor even bring it back once it disappears); no ability to move to SD (there is no need for this to reside on internal memory). Meh.
