• Browse your local folders and setup your videos locations (PAID VERSION add network support)
• Movies are automatically identified (genre, plot, director, poster, rating)
• TV Shows are identified if the naming convention is valid (filename should contain season and episode number S##E## or ##x##)

What is the Play-To feature ?
Its AirPlay for android! This feature allows the control of a Digital Media Player (DMP) via the UPnP remote control protocol.If you dont have a DMP you can configure Windows Media Player to allow remote control :http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Change-settings-for-streaming-media-in-Windows-Media-Player
Need help ?
• On Google TV UPnP does not work when the box is connected via network cable. Please use a Wifi connection or access your library via Samba.
• Mezzmo and Serviio servers are not recognized as UPnP servers but you can play network files with the Samba browser.
• Complains and questions via the market does not help as I have no way to answer you this way!
• If you need support, please use the contact button within the app and send me your log file (READ_LOGS permission) together with a brief description of your problem.

Way outdated... Please update. Would pay for if it was updated and modernized..
Very good app, scan correctly the sources and find images for each movie or TV Show. Identifies each TV Show seasons and episodes accordingly. To those complaining about video playing, the app just call default video player app from your android. So if you cant play with the default video app, just choose another video player from your android (I recommend MX Player)
It is a great little app that does what it says. However it may have trouble finding movies using the default settings. Problem 1: Some manufactures don't call their Micro SD card directory 'mnt\sd_ext'. So you need to use the 'Root' option, select 'mnt' directory, and then find your manufacturers specific external SD directory name. Problem 2: It won't find USB attached devices by default. USB devices are listed in mnt\media so again select 'Root', 'mnt', and then 'media'. Problem 3: The application will not search sub-directories by default. You should go into the app settings and change the 'recursion' level from '0' to '2' or '3' and ignore th speed comments. The speed difference is so slight you'd need to be a caffeine junkie squirrel to notice it.
This is a nice way to find movies, but you can't then play them. It complains that you don't have the right codec installed to play the movies, even though they play fine through Gallery. I assume it is some scam to sell their own video player.
Scanned library well for displaying media but cannot launch VLC player. An error comes up and closes VLC. VLC will play same media directly.
Would've loved to rate higher but can't add sd card as file source, 1 star until issue resolved
Art work is OK, layout is something to be desired. It's not fluid to sort from options and would be nice to maybe have tabs along top of screen to filter. You tube link for trailers is a nice to have
Great App, exactly what I was looking for. Scanned my movie folder quickly and found every movie. Total setup in under 2 mins. Also, no intrusive adverts is a big bonus
Dev needs to use threads for updating lists and info. Don't like waiting.
No need for fancy servers etc. Modern tv's can play most video formats and host a drive. This gives you a considerably better interface though.
Simple and very useful app. Automatically scans the local media and organizes the content with meta data pulled from Internet. Expertly groups the TV series. Auto renaming and cleanup will be a good addition that is missing now.

MovieBrowser HD used to be a really good app . it is not a good app anymore cause it does not display any metadata on the movie. Please can you fix this app so when you click on the poster of the movie, it will go to the metadata for the movie, just like it shows in the pictures for this app . Can you please allow to select the movie poster in the app.

Doesnt search for anything i type in even simple words.
It gets covers and descriptions of movies you already have and launches your favorite movie player. I love this application. If you have a movie collection or a android media player give it a try. You will love it.
Good for kids too. Just identify the local movies and it makes it simple for kids to start their movies.

What a dumb app
excellent app.unfortunately it seems some people don't know how to use it and just give a low rating. you do need to specify source and then if your media is within folders set the scan depth to suit. but it's great at linking media to metadata and allowing you to play from the app. just like a mobile media server.
