Not great, if connect fails once it just hangs forever until you uninstall and reinstall. When not using Library and just using Files, the playlist ends up full of escape sequences like %20 for space, very messy and difficult to use the playlist. I'm using Mopidy as mpd if that matters. MALP works okay with the same server.

5 star since free which I will never complain about. It does hang but do not have to reinstall if no wish to lose playlist .. just kill it and reconnect few mins later. Mpd is oreli best sounding and efficient but sure, no fanciful or even common functionalities anf I am very happy with it .. it is free.

When I queue an album it always adds songs in a random order, and not the order as numbered in the tracklist. Please fix this bug.

Difficult to switch server, and if no server is around it keeps trying to connect and I'm unable to interfere... until it's solved it's not quite usable for me.

Not just the best MPD Controller but to play and access the files on my Poly/Mojo it is THE BEST App for this task. After some further auditioning I am convinced the sound from this wondrous little DAC is even better using MPD.

5 stars app. Only thing I'm missing is cover art downloading. Not sure why, since other apps seem capable of retrieving covers from Google Images or whatever source they're using.

Fantastic app, does everything I need for controlling my MPD server. Streaming not so great but I can recommend pairing it with VLC (on any device) for playing http streams.

When it works its Ok - but its slow and dosnt communicate with the sever that well, playlists hang or change without any user actions ....

As was mentioned earlier if app lost connection or it was active when phone was in sleep or when server really not available (another network) app stuck with "connection to server"

Great companion app for MPD! What a pity it ain't being developed anymore... would love to see support for MPD partitions!

what I miss is an easy way to swich between mpd servers. apart from that, a great program.

Though it hasn't been updated in four+ years, I used MPDroid for some time; however the player M.A.L.P. is actively developed and works just as well.

i just want to check the look and feel of the app before i set up all the connections, sadly thats not possible

Best app for controlling Volumio with its tasker plugin. One of the first apps I download on any new phone.

Please set "Notification" mode as default, or at least as an option in settings so that it can be saved - everytime I start playback it has to be enabled and it is a bit frustrating. This is my only complaint as I use it on my phone and it is crucial in order to have music playback control on the lockscrean. Other than that the application is very convenient and one of the best apps I use everyday. Keep up the good work. ;)

Another one using it to control a raspberry pi music box. Does a fine job. Design could be a bit more tactile (drag and drop to move things around the queue rather than so many long clicks), but its just a minor nit.

Works on my Nexus 7 and on my HP pavilion chromebook (via archon packager and extension). Had to use landscape mode in order to access the now playing handle at screen bottom. In portrait mode they were off screen and inaccessible. The art work functionality is pretty flakey though. I have a lot of albums in a "Various artists" folder and none of them work with the art work loading methods being employed as a result apparently. Looks great on the ones that do work though. Maybe I will have to rework that folder into better shape to make more of the artwork accessible.
