MPR News

The app, not the news, has a lot to be desired and got even worse after the new update. Yes, other audio apps on my phone always get stopped by navigating around the MPR app due to some internal media player problem. The biggest new complaint is that there are 2-3 specific sharing links, for only Facebook, Twitter and email. Without a plain Share button to link to internal apps for sharing, this becomes a worse app than using a browser, and that's essentially all it is anyway.

Great new but has lots of other problems. I really dislike how when I have a music app playing opening the mpr app stops my music, no other news app does this. I also hate how the top half of page attempts to refresh and you have difficulty navigating until it finishes, but it usually doesn't finish or takes 2-5 mins to finish. Force quitting the app solves this but is annoying.

Functional before May-June 2019, though the interface is outdated. Clunky scrolling has been replaced with NO scrolling -- like many others have found, you can't scroll down to actually read stories... It's inexplicably broken. I like the local headlines, but I'm going to have to look elsewhere now.

Streaming was working well until recently. The scrolling works again but now the streaming doesn't. The app doesn't appear at the top of my screen like it used to while playing, and it keeps turning itself off. It'll play for a minute and then just stop. Please fix!!!

At least once per week for the past 4 months, I get "The app has stopped working" errors. The only workaround is deleting and re-installing. Frustrating, as I rely on MPR for most of my news. Please look into these errors (I am an Android user).

For the last year, it has stopped playing roughly every 5 minutes. The app would still be open, but the radio paused itself. Now, it just completely crashes every 5 minutes. Please make a new app!

Works ok for reading current news. Surprised that there is no search function. And, the"go back" function does not work. There is just a working-on-it circle that goes round and round indefinitely. I am using am android operating system that is up to date (Jan 2021)

Although I think the layout is good, battery use is high. The deal breaker this week was that the articles no longer scroll--the pages are just stuck; reinstalling and restarting did not help.

when I click a news story the app stops. there have been other peoblems in the past: won't scroll down with a news story (problem is now fixed) andevery time I open a new screen on my phone (not in the app) I get a notification the MPR app has quit.

Good news and info as usual and I am a member too. The problem is the app keeps crashing - especially it seems on the weekends. Every time it crashes, theres an ad on before the news starts and so sometimes there are spells where I hear more ads than news.

Was great until recently. I like being able to read the news and analysis from MPR, but recently the app crashes whenever I tap a headline to read the article. All I can get are the headlines, it won't let me read the linked articles.

Streaming will stop after sometime and the only way to get it going again is to clear cache. This has been a problem with this app for years. Do not recommend. If you can, stteam directly from a web browser.

Doesn't work well with android, I have to force stop the app after every use...uninstalling now

Poor app functionality. Audio constantly drops off after a few min and has to be reinitialized. Articles no longer scroll when opened, making it impossible to read.

this app crashes and locks up after 5 minutes on my android phone and tablet. tried on different wifi accounts and doesn't work on either. very sad. I'm a contributing member and this is my primary way of listening.

There's no option to share except to FB & Twitter, which negates my choice not to feed the giants. I have a Discord channel with kids about college-relevant content; I can't use this app for that. I can't even grab the URL.

same thing happened to me. can't scroll articles. also the radio sometimes just stops when it's playing on my phone but settings are for continuous play.

The app used to work, now it's mostly buggy. I can no longer scroll down to read a story past the headline. The weather section send to predict 0% rain no matter what the forecast is.

constantly disconnects, eats up battery in the background when not even in use, the UI for reading stories is terrible, hasn't been updated in years

"MPR has stopped working"... every 10 min. Updated app so I could scroll down on news stories, but now I get a notification constantly that the app has stopped working. Ready to uninstall till app gets fixed

Used to like this app, but recently it does not scroll thru stories properly on my Samsung Galaxy 8, even after reinstalling, so pretty useless except to read headlines.

I seem to be having the same issue as everyone else. All of sudden I cannot scroll down to read a story past the headline. Please fix MPR! I used to read this every day.

I loved this app, would have given it a 5 two months ago. something changes and I can no longer scroll to read the entire article. Please post a fix.

I have a Samsung S8 and with this version of the MPR News app I cannot scroll to read any individual article. THIS MUST BE FIXED ASAP!!!!!

Too many notifications for flavor news. Turned off notifications in the app and they kept coming. Uninstalling for now.

Since the new update, the app is not working. I can open the app, but when I try to open articles it shuts down.
