Isalled easy. Set up easy. Actually blocks calls that are not in your contact list, but still allows the caller to leave a message incase u for got to add them to your contacts. In the same way it it blocks but allows spam call to leave a message so u can review and report with details. I know you would say that this is a bad thing. But it seems that if we ever want to end those spam calls we all have to pitch in and report. This can't be done unless your sure that the call was spam.
I used Mr. Number for a long time, but some things were still getting through. So I switched to Hiya, and for a while it was better. Then recently, things on my block list were not being blocked. So now I'm back to Mr. Number and it's blocking the things that Hiya didn't. (Which is odd, since it's the same company.)
Mr Number is pretty much obsolete now for me. Spam ID by my carrier is so good that they are actually catching and blocking more spam than this app. And the caller ID is remarkably non- functional ; 90% of my incoming calls are not identified. There's no reason to have this, unless you want to look at ads, and paying for it is a waste of money.
It's a good app for reviewing and blocking spam callers. Note: Do NOT use their comment area to tell spammers to stop. That space is for info ABOUT the spammers for other call recipients to read. Thank you! Note to developers: After I block a number, go back to where I WAS on the list, not back to the top -- that's incredibly annoying.
My wife got a phone number back in 2016. And Mr Number keeps flagging it as spam, and gave the identity the wrong name since then. I keep sending feedback it's not spam and the identity is wrong. This service doesn't care.
Had this app for YEARS with no problems. Now all of a sudden it's forcing a membership with no free option, when it was ALWAYS free before? Outrageous. Uninstalling.
Nice App. seems to work well. I had BlockIt Pro but it stopped working and there's no update available. The app has disappeared from the Play store. One thing I would like to see is a feature to prevent the Spammers from leaving voice mail. Hopefiully in a future update.👌
This app back when it was free and did what it said, as in identified any caller spam, weirdo psycho stalker exs, unknown or unavailable caller info, everything became known and it was awesome because it wasnt "keeping up with the jones's" and it was free. This new thing is garbage. Then it updated and became a "buy my extra functions that you dont need or use and sacrifice the actual useful aspect of what i was originally but since lost in favor of money" i deleted and stopped recommending.
Best caller ID app as it gives reports if number a scam or not.I don't believe everything I read on it but it sure is helpful with customer calls.
Used to be marginally accurate, then that accuracy degraded. Now it's subscription only? For what, exactly? I'd laugh, but this is more sad than anything.
At the start the app was so good with blocking , These days i recived alot of calls "phone ringing" from numbers supose to be blocked since there are already add to blocked from "Number begin with " option !!
Sort of works. Tried so many of these call blockers, this is about the best. Always going to be some getting though UK 0843 are the worst. It really should be the service providers doing this. But this app helps. Just need a lot of input.
We need to have the service cover multiple phone numbers linked or used on the phone. I am now geeting google voice calls and wifi calls that do not register to MR. Number. I have had this service a while and it has only blocked 20 calls and warned 50 while I recieve 10-30 calls per day depending on the season. It may be that a gogle voice incoming call can be routed to cell number, already have business # routed to cell and that is usually grabbed but only if answered on cell.
I can't open it coz it force me to agree either trial or buy. So, there's no option to use it without buying.
I do not like the fact that I am paying for an anti-spam app that allows spammers to leave voicemails! You claim to stop robocalls yet they still get through as well. I have used your "premium" service for the past 2 years. I will not renew again time to shop for a different anti-spam service
So far, Mr. Number had worked well at filtering out spam phone calls. fewer spam calls get through to my phone and the ones that do, i can manually block them. i think Mr. Number works better than the filter device that came with my Samsung A5. Dec 2021 So still works well. I'd prefer to not receive the push notifications that the app sends.
Excellent, stopped all fraud calls.couldnt do with out Mr number, had no problems with app, highly recommended.
It started off good. Once I got premium it freezes, the screen turns black or white and my text messages aren't going through. Not very happy overall anymore.
I like that you can block entire area codes. Most of the spam calls I receive keep calling back from the same area code but different number so it's nice to be able to block all those different numbers by blocking the area code.
This was once a very good app. Now I keep getting an error message to the effect "Something went wrong". I tried the Hiya upgrade and must say that was a total bust. DO NOT use the free Hiya. It changed several of my alert and notification settings and will not allow me to set things back. Had to uninstall to regain control of my sound and alert settings. There are other blockers out there, but finding a reliable one is the challenge.
I used this for years. I noticed that I suddenly started receiving spam calls, so I opened the app to make sure it was updated and that my settings were correct. I found that they suddenly are making you pay a subscription fee to block calls. The Hiya app is still free, but it has the same subscription fee for the blocking feature. Very dissatisfied. App uninstalled. I would have paid a flat fee for the app, but I am not paying a recurring fee for this.
Updated: This app is no longer free. I wouldn't mind a one time fee, but now it only allows you to pay by subscription. I'm uninstalling this app from my phone. Original (With Edit): Works very well. The popup that tells you who is calling is a little big and can make it hard to know what numbers you are pressing to navigate an automated menu until you close it. Besides that little inconvenience, I would recommend this app for anyone who gets a lot of spam calls (if the app was still free).
Used the app for months. It wasn't perfect but it was functional. Now you want a subscription fee? For what? I paid it for a month and cancelled because it's worthless. You offer nothing new. I can get the same info you have through Google. If you wanted a few bucks once then sure, I get that. But 3 bucks a month in perpetuity? You're crazy. Uninstalled.
The app itself does a good job. But the company that maintains it is greedy. First the app was free. Then a few features became premium and had to be paid for. Now today I wake up and find a notification from the app saying it has become a premium app that requires a paid subscription to function. The prices listed were cheap, but only after a free trial. I suspect that renewing after the discounted subscription would be more expensive. I have uninstalled this app.
I've had this app for 6 years or so (I believe it has been that long but honestly can't be 100% sure) and the app started out good, but over the years, has just gotten progressively worse. Most recently, I've started receiving a ton of robo calls and spam calls. Then, today I get a notification that the app is now a premium pay service! There have not been enough significant improvements to warrant an app that was previously free to start charging as a subscription service. No thanks.
I love the number blocking technology, works great for spam, and fraud calls, really great! BUT the pop up window announcing the call and the pop up window at the end of the call is totally annoying and redundant and it gets in the way when I want to answer the call. (I have to x out of the pop up window before I can swipe/answer the call. I've missed a lot of calls because of it and had to call back. ) The popup window at the end of the call is just call info, I don't really need but if I had to choose I'd prefer the pop up at the end of the call because at least it doesn't interfere with my call. Oh and lately I've noticed it has the wrong name on the caller ID for some of the numbers I have programmed into my phone and no matter how many times I report it to Mr. Number it never changes.
This is worse than useless, it's detrimental. It will block every single call, including contacts, regardless of the settings. Also, it promises information when you buy the subscription and look up a number. I never found anything when looking up a number, you can save money and get more results by Googling. I looked up every single number in my contact (287) and not a single thing was found
