Rubbish app. Freezrs constantly, won't load and if it does it's slow and difficult to use. QR code scans sometimes work, most often not. MSC a big orhanisation, you would think they could test this properly before release.
From moment when I first time open this application it showing me in any other aplication "added new tag, clear tag" and it's so annoying when I watch netflix or do something
When on board it works sometimes. When it works it is great. But most of the time it is a sad frustration. I have now taken three NSC cruises and for some reason MSC executive staff cannot make it more user friendly and usable. And to make matters worse you cannot check in and register your credit card on line or on this app. It all has to be done on board. This is not rocket science. This is a very important customer service issue that is totaly ignored.
An error occurred, please try again happens way too often! Won't let me screenshot anything to save or share - this isn't a security issue. So I have to use another phone to snap a picture of the screen which is very annoying. Won't let me view charges because they are associated with another acct. Receive errors booking or cancelling shows while on board many times. System needs a lot of work! I can't order a drink pkg or excursion from app off ship even though it lets me view them.
Easy to use app! You can book reservations for restaurants, shows, see the cruise's daily activities and tons more! Highly recommended for a fun cruise adventure. no problems for me but I will mention that the app didn't activate (at least for me) until the day we boarded the ship & I did purchase the unlimited internet package, not sure it that makes a difference once you leave the port.
It doesn't work properly. MSC should read this reviews and try to improve to help it's travelers. I've been taking pictures for check in several times and doesn't retain information. Very difficult to navigate through. My first cruise with them and overall my experience have been really bad.
Worst internet on any cruise!!! Barely works and zero support from photo gallery who runs the hub!!!
It definitely is much better then the TV interface. However it is full of bugs, and doesn't even have the ship deckplans so that you could locate restaurants or services on board.. when clicking on the chat icon I get the message error occurred... So basically it is Unusable, it doesn't work on any phone
Pixel 2 xl the app stays in landscape and wasn't the same version of the app as people I'm travelling with on bellisima. Connecting to the shops WiFi is spotty for the app and it doesn't always remember. In its way to be a good app. Needs a lot of work. Especially for the flagship phones
Missing some things that would be helpful such as current ship's time and a list of all services and their hours in one spot. App can be difficult to navigate to figure out where they put things. But better than no app!
Works on iPhone, does not work on Android. I had no problem loading the app on my iPhone. When trying to load it to an android tablet I am bringing on the cruise, it loads, but fails to recognize my login information. I tried uninstalling / reinstalling several times, and verified my info. It does not work on Android, at least not the Lenovo M8.
Very good, except for the chat feature. Hard to use and does not work consistently. Installed prior to boarding, had to uninstall after on ship, then reinstall to get chat to work at all. Spent an hour in line at the reception desk to learn this. Everything else works great. Fix chat, and get five stars.
Although not entirely clear when recommended to install, the MSC for Me app is designed for use on the ship. It allows you to reserve shows, connect and message with ship mates and keep up with an agenda. The messaging component could use some tweaking to be able to link with new friends that you meet on the ship.
This app is a brilliant concept, but it does NOT function properly. The app glitches frequently, making it hard to book shows and notifications for messages show up from 30 minutes to 5 hours after a message is sent, even if the message is read already. It does not always sort the nost recent messages first as well. Also note that children under 17 years of age cannot use the chat function, which makes it difficult for parents to communicate with children who are old enough to be smart online.
Doesn't work reliably. Chat keeps signing out for no reason even if notifications show up. Personal info is unreliable, one day you can navigate expenses and the following numbers are completely off. Bookings do not work. Aweful experience, amazing this is considered 'production'... Not even a bad beta
Unable to load Booking number, first and last name. Incorrect password or username error. 4 phones with all android permissions and an IPad. If you put in incorrect name, you get different error, booking or name incorrect. Hope I don't need this app on the ship for anything. Email to the web support and MSC customer support several times, no response. Poor service for and even worse app.
Everytime I open this App it says an error occurred please try again and then it half works. It's a shame as on the surface it could be very good. However one day it shows me the itinerary and then others it don't. I tend to now only use it for the days remaining counter as the rest is too unreliable. Shame. I liked it too.
The app has many excellent features; however, they are unusable given how buggy this app is. The chat feature is so inconsistent it is practically useless. The app is full of buttons that don't work, typos, and redundant or confusing navigation.
Disappointing. While the map feature was nice, the chat feature was horrible! I mean horrible!!! Texts didn't get delivered, texts were delayed by hours, and this was on board the ship with outs WiFi. Extremely disappointing. I gave two stars because app has promise if they fix.
The messaging function, which is by far the most useful, is aweful. For one, the messages are ranked by the senders local time! As a result, if the other user uses a different time zone or their time is 1 min off, then the most recent mesaage may not be at the bottom of the diallg box. How stupid is that....
Superb reliable app using your mobile to greatly enhance the cruise experience. Especially like the messaging bit to eg arrange to meet fellow cruisers or book shows - and its all free (does not need an Internet package) Its great to see such an excellent application of modern technology
Codes for purchases do not make it clear where the purchase was made. We have been charged for drinks included in our package and found it very hard and stressful to get them removed. Also next days events don't seen to be available till quite late in the day so makes it difficult for me to plan my week.
I was booked on the Meraviglia but ended up changing my sailing to the Seashore in November. I can no longer log in since changing to the Seashore even though supposedly the app was updated to include this ship recently. Giving an average review since it DID work prior to my changed booking. Will update when/if it works again.
Even with all the customer's complaints on this app, no one has attempted to respond to our concerns. This app is proving to be very useless. If it's not run by MSC themselves then it would be a good idea for them to delete it because it's denting their image. I booked with MSC for an upcoming cruise on Musica. With this kind of service I'm actually thinking twice about their service on board considering they are failing to deal with a very basic customer concern such bad App.
Reserving events works well. The ship map is also useful. The chat with other passengers is not easy to set up and the messages are often delivered with big delays, up to one hour.
Horrible app. Have to keep uninstalling and reinstalling just to get some features to work. Never got all the menus to work, keeps throwing errors on certain menus.
When it works it great. Too many times on board the app logs and has error messages. It takes multiple attempts to get back in but once in all functions work. You can register a credit card through it but only once on board the ship, again this was temperamental.
