"Explore map" just sits on my screen the entire time. I click a place I want to ride and it just sits there. Idk what the point of this app is, it won't let you do anything. No matter what I click it just sits there with the same "explore and download" option on my screen. Excellent for burning cell data
Great app for those who love to discover new places in nature! It would be even better if it had a filter to classify trails by how long they are in miles and difficulty instead of going through the long list. But at least it has a favorite button, that'll do for now!
Glitchy and unreliable. I have to download something every time I open the app? Terrible when you're actually on the trail and trying to find your way around. Decent for planning, but not ideal.
Best free MTB trail app. The UX is somewhat clunky. There are a lot of trails missing but you can't submit new trails via the app, it has to be done via their website hence the 3 stars
The Android version doesn't have the filter option that is very convenient (iphone has it). So there seems to be no way to pop up a sorted list
I really appreciate this app! As a relatively new MTBer, I depend on it to choose safe trails for my abilities and to locate myself on unfamiliar trails when signs are scarce.
Been using this app to seek out new biking trails and love it. I can download the area and use it to navigate trails without issues. Would recommend!
This app is great for finding new trails to ride. My major issue is the map feature. I mount my phone horizontally to my handle bars so I can check the map to make sure I don't miss trail junctions. The app doesn't allow for full screen map and frequently flips the view which means I have to stop at every trail junction and mess around with the app to make sure I'm heading the right way. Fix that and it's a 5 star app.
Helpful and also not. I'm new to the app so I might be missing some functions. But it would be cool if there was a social aspect to it. The ability to ask questions about a trail for example. Another issue is that the driving instructions take you to the closest main road to the trailhead. Not to legal parking for the trailhead. One took me to a neighborhood and wanted me to cut through a backyard to get to it. Good app, but could be better.
Only problem with the app is the rating system, they do it based on what the majority of the ride is, for example there is a black diamond loop trail that is connected by a fire road for about a third of it, the app rates it as intermediate, as with the entire loop about 55% is blue and 45% is black, just do your reaserch and you will be fine but for beginner/ intermediate riders the rating system could be deceptive. Otherwise the app is really nice and intuitive to use.
This app is clumsy. If you want to select a single trail you first get shown a loop then youhave to go in and select the single trail sometimes that doesn't work though. With all the geographical graphics on there sometimes it takes a while for it to load too. one thing I did have a problem with is the GPS indication was 180° off makes a little difficult to figure out which way you're doing it first. Guess I'll go over to trail forks and just pay for it.
Not easy to setup..my first session recorded "privately" so I cant see it in the app; only online. It's not clear how to change the settings...why would I use the app if I have to go online to see my sessions? I gave 3 stars cause the trail finding feature is impressive...now, if they could integrate with google maps, it would be perfect!
Great app to find trails, get information, and see where you are when riding the trail. The mapping is spot on so far for the trails I ride in Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina. I'd like better ways to calculate overall distance before heading out. Just to know what I'm getting into without having to do a bunch of adding up each section. You have to take into consideration that the information and reviews are subjective. Be prepared for the trails to be easier or harder when you get there.
Worked perfectly the first time we used it. We chose the Parking symbol...it gave us directions through Google maps to the trailhead. It tracked us every inch of the way so that we could see on our phones that we were always on the course. We could see on our apps the upcoming climbs and descents. This is a wonderful app. Spend sometime getting familiar with it before you head out on your first ride with it.
this app is good for knowing where trails are. around my local trails though it seems like every time i do one of the featured rides I think I would have a lot more fun doing it the opposite direction from what the app suggests. I'm not sure if this is only in my local area or if this is a problem everywhere with this app. I'm not sure who is deciding the routes that are featured but someone needs to review them to make sure they are the most fun way to go.
Great app for exploring new trails (and they review trails so you know if it is listed it is authorized, what a responsoble concept that will only help MTB advocacy ... unlike some other apps out there) nice ability to preload map sections before you get out of cell range. Has accurate distance and elevation information. Needs more user photo content. Main thing that would improve it is having ride routes shown so you can see what configurations others ride it (similar to Trailforks).
The app does a great job of providing a wealth of ride planning information. I love how it provides an all of the trails in the area of concern so the user can visually search for my map and scroll the viewpoint. It makes it easy to get a general overview before selecting anything in particular.
Super helpful in planning and route finding. 'Featured ride' is awesome when travelling (when you know generally where you will be and want to find the best ride in the area). The ability to download a whole state at a time also makes it easier to be offline and not get totally lost.
Can seem to get to any trails! it not easy to navigate this app!...It seems to stay stuck on a trial i find. Cant go back to find trails around my area just show city's around were I live!...I like the details and updates of the trails I find when I find one. But other than that it's hard to navigate it seems complicated!
Very good and useful, but a little annoying. The biggest barrier to me using the app more is that I can't just browse trails in new area without downloading the whole state. This makes it hard to look at a place quickly to understand its trails. The reviews of trails from other riders are really helpful. It's difficult to flag a specific spot on trail or one section that's closed when using the conditions update feature. Overall good app, I use it regularly.
