For the permissions required that it displays when you first install the app, here's an explanation of what they are needed for:
- Permission to access the Internet: For downloading of updated database and other little bells and whistles, eg. downloading the corresponding card image from Gatherer, etc.
- Permission to access your external storage: For storage of images downloaded, and as a temporary storage location when downloading the updated database. This is to prevent any corruption of the existing database in the event of a failed download.
- permission.C2D_MESSAGE and permission.RECEIVE: For GCM message receiving

Important Update:
With regards to other languages, I have no intention of doing so, due to the fact that it would:a) Make the database grow X times in size, where X is the number of languagesb) Also cause the translation to not be from the official documents, which would/might cause confusion, and that is what I wish to avoid at all times

Excellent app. However, I used to be able to download card images from the Gatherer, but that ability no longer functions. An error message reads "having trouble downloading image from gatherer, please try again later." When I do try again, still nothing.
Good, small app with all the needed functionality, but also a few mistakes. If this gets corrected, five stars are surely going to follow: - card databases don't get updated very often. Right now, new Theros, Ikoria, C21 and ZNR are missing. - searching within comprehensive rules is bugged and instead of finding just the clause, also filters it, and cannot be evaded - probably Gatherer's mistake, but finding card images takes very long (download still same speed) I hope this gets better :)
After searching for keywords (like "instant"), if I click a result, the app won't show anything. However it still works well without searching. Hope you can fix it.
When I search for various rules no text shows up. Ex. Searching Miracle in the rules beings up an empty box with no rules text. Using Pixel 4 XL. Fix please?
Oracle database seems incomplete ,could not find Aminatou. Else a great tool.
Thank you for your hard work over the years. This app has been an invaluable asset for so long. It will be hard to replace.

How is it possible that my moto G3 is "not compatible" with this app? How can this app cannot work in Android 6? 1 star until it's fixed

Updating to have Guilds of Ravnica set notes would be neato.
After 3 years of using this app i am constantly impressed by how easy to use it is. I love the fact that i can check card rulings offline, this to me is the best feature of the app. My only feedback would be a faster update.

This is probably my favorite app, period. I use it regularly, when working as a judge or as a player with my friends. Amazing work and please keep it updated, I can't live withiut it! :)
Great app. I use this all the time to look up errata rulings while playing with friends.
I want to thank you for the recent update. But the comprehensive is outdated hopefully that update comes soon. I realize the comp rules update rolled out the same day as this last update.
Still has incorrect rulings for blood moon. I would happily turn on the ads to help support development if I felt I could rely on this for rulings. As it stands I have to use online only options
Entire app is between 6mo and 2 years out of date.
Modern Banlist is not updated. Pls update.
I think it could be better if it could search by cmc.

It's wonderful. I use this app dang near religiously. I act as a judge for local tournaments and this is an amazing tool for every situation.
Great, aside from the current ban/restricted list not being up to date. As an L2, it is information needed at times, especially in Legacy and Modern events where the list is long.
Ban list is not up to date, otherwise decent app.
Absolutely crap... The worst iteration of a MTG rule book I've ever seen.. it doesn't really tell you anything except what you can do but not how it's done.. absolutely pitiful..
Great app, very complete. However today I was at my PPTQ and needed some oracle texts. The app didn't display them anymore. Neither did it for the rules and IPG. All the items' structures were shown but none of the articles popped up. I uninstalled the app, then downloaded it again. Everything was back to normal. It would be nice to have several other languages added to the app, especially for the oracle part. I know my French and Spanish players would be grateful.
