MTN MoMo

The app fails to upload a new contact after you have sent money from it. You basically have to restart your handset or manually input the contact you want to send money to. The other challenge I have noticed with the app is failing to open when you want to use it. This happens alot no matter whether you restart your handset.

Inasmuch the OTP issue may be a security measure, it's a bit too much. Firstly, it does not arrive instantaneously (takes time to arrive); and secondly, if someone momentarily misplaces their sim or loses it, they're unable to transact until it has been replaced (which is also a drag in Zambia as one has to go a service centre and not kiosks which are everywhere). It's almost not worth having this app in my opinion👎🏽. Also, the Airtel app & interface is much better as it's integrated.

Kinda cool app. I like that I only have to pick the contact I want to sent money from my contacts. My question is on set up, I already picked my country as Uganda, why then do I have to enter my phone each time I need to transact? Then sometimes it ends up with "something went wrong" and I have to go through the process again just to be frustrated again. With all the feedback would you deal with this frustrating experience? Over all a fair experience that could be made better by the builder.

This app is very limited. It needs a lot of better features. More importantly we need to be able to use the app even when aboard. Other networks allow it, with MTN momo, you have to send a one time password after loging in, additional security yes but very inconveniencing when using an network. When aboard especially.

I'd give the app three stars maximum but having to enter and return the one time pin and my account password every single time I open the app is time consuming especially when you want to make a quick transfer and for some reason, transferring money to other networks has been blocked using the *303# method instead I have to use the app each time which again... IS TIME CONSUMING AND UNNECESSARY, let the password be entered towards the end and not at the very beginning over and over again

It's frustrating to always have to enter one's phone number and the repetitive entry of codes. A one time sign in would be fine but having to sign in Everytime one needs to use the app is just as good as using the phone dial. You have not made any difference from the phone dial pad.

From today I can not access the application using WiFi and it gives an oops something is wrong Error. Yello. Please turn off your WiFi connection and use MTN mobile internet to access your account. What is the idea of this new change which is impacting the use of this app, can you guys please provide a reason why this was done, is the double authentication not enought for you. The line you want me to use is only for transaction and it's not in smart phone. What is happening, can you revert this.

The latest update disabled the app when roaming. I can't use the app when using WiFi, it requests to use mobile data. Even if I use mtn mobile data roaming it does not connect. Kindly fix this otherwise the app is useless when you travel out of Uganda.

Can't use it using data from a different network provider, which is quite inconveniencing. Kept getting error messages even when I switched to MTN data. Have to say this, having used the Airtel App, this is really disappointing. Uninstalled!

I downloaded this app and I can't even register on it. Telling me "unable to connect to saver" when I have an active data connection... I tried to lunch it again, it still showed me same error message. It's really frustrating. Please fix that up

This app was perfect untill recently, I can't get passed the country selection. It keeps telling me I have no internet connection even when I've got GBs worth of data. Tried uninstalling and reinstallinv it but nothing has changed

Was working well til the new update. Now it requires me to use MTN internet to access the app. This is unbelievably stupid and inconvenient! My MTN momo SIM card is not in my smartphone so I've previously been using my workplace's WiFi to access the app. Now in order to use the app I have to put my card in the phone, transact, then take it out. This is incredibly frustrating. Going to uninstall this rubbish

The service is exceptionally slow. For instance, it's nearly 10 mins and I have not yet received my token for power. It took 5 mins for a confirmation that funds were deducted from my account. Very disappointed. When you choose an amount to pay, you can not go back to edit the amount. You have to restart the process, which wastes time.

One star for zero transaction fees. But the app keeps on crushing everytime i make a transaction in that i have to uninstall and reinstall it all the time, giving error responses. Then also keeps on asking me my account pin and sending secret pins via sms before I can access the app, this is rather frustrating and annoying...

The last transactions list is very helpful. Helped me get a number I hadn't saved. Small size. And it does automatically changes with different sim cards If only the MTN and Momo apps could be fused together.

Overall user interface is great but it's annoying when one has to put their pin number and wait for a verification code every few minutes. Too much testing of people's patience.

Not being able to paste a number from the clipboard is a huge drawback. Please improve on it. Then like everyone has mentioned. Why not enforce OTP on accessing sensitive areas of the app only.

There's a lot y'all can learn from the airtel and zamtel apps. They are flawless and one app has both mobile money and other services, no need for a separate app. And the OTP authentication are annoying everytime I try to log in Edit 16/01/2022: it keeps getting worse

The "Done" button is broken! If clicked multiple times, it executes whichever request you're making, each time. You can unknowingly load the same data bundle many times, thinking you're closing the app.

I have given 3 stars instead of 5 because I have been using this app for at least a year and it was fine but of recent when I try to see my transaction history the app just hangs and crashes. I also dislike the fact that for some functions, the app reaches a point where it makes you initiate dialing USSD codes. I thought the app would work as a standalone. Kindly work on these issue.

Very useless app just like the network provider. It is extremely bugy like it was developed by 12 year old fools. It tells you wrong pin even when you are entering the correct pin....do not west your time with this. I recommend you use Airtel app, it's easy, all in one and extremely smooth

Very nice user interface and the fact that i can send money at zero costs plus save my favourite numbers i frequently send money to is a big advantage to me. The option for reccomending someone use the app where i can get paid in return is of great value to whoever wishes to use this app. For that, it is a 5 start for me

Disappointing and Annoying that you have to constantly login with an OTA code and your phone number. Check out Airtel app or your other app called myMtn which function well. Best to stick to the old fashion of SSID codes until a fix is done.

Very annoying!!!!! Nowadays Everytime I open the app I see "something went wrong"!!!! No option to pay other transactions like my startimes TV. Very frustrating!!! No update

Poor App, you said this App does not use data but you can not log in without data or Wi-fi and your Network connection is also very poor in my area. I downloaded my MTN App but I've uninstalled it because I was facing the same problem as this, I thought this App will be better than the other one but this is even trash. I have used this network for years now but I haven't seen any improvement in the network issue but am still using this network because of the Momo, I rest my case. Thank you.

The developer still has a lot of work to do on this one. I can't access the app coz it keeps crushing. Asking me to use cellular data instead of WiFi and yet im actually using the Very data it's asking for. MTN should see what Airtel has done with their app. Exceptional stuff.
