Train Trip PlannerSearch for your route along the MTR by simply tapping on the MTR route map and choosing your starting location and desired destination. Information about your route, including fare information, recommended routing, estimated journey time, interchange guide/platform, first/last train schedule, station services, etc. will be displayed accordingly. In addition of MTR stations, you can also select station exits and see maps of popular locations near the MTR network.
Traffic NewsTraffic News will inform subscribers when train services have been or are expected to be seriously delayed for more than 20 minutes. It will also inform travellers about special train service arrangements during festive holidays or tropical cyclones. Traffic News also allows you to personalise the “push notification function” to receive immediate updates on service information for specific lines to make sure that any updates you get are exactly what you need!

Station Facilities/Barrier-free facilities/ShopsSearch easily for facilities, barrier-free facilities and shops in stations, by stations, facility type and shop type. You can also get special service notices of station lifts through the barrier-free-function.
Tourist InformationThe Tourist Information function offers a wide variety of local attraction guides and information on tourist tickets. You can plan your journey simply by entering the tourist spot as origination or destination in the Train Trip Planner and Light Rail Planner.
Airport ExpressThis provides Airport Express information and allows you to search for travel information from the airport to hotels, including complimentary Airport Express Shuttle Bus service.
MTR ClubDesigned with a clean user interface, users can register as a club member, and check MTR Club information and the eNewsletter easily. 90% of the time the app freezes and fails to open everytime the phone startup. Need to force stop and reopen the app. Game page cannot link to game. Need to reinstall the app to make the link work.
My phone's primary language is English. Though I have chosen traditional Chinese as the app language, how come the menu, icons, settings are still using English.
very handy app for visitors to Hong Kong especially if you want to make use of the excellent train network. All in all, the app is very accurate in predicting travel time. I would like to share my recent events when I lost my phone somewhere in the station. I used the report missing property function thing on the app. Firstly, it was convenient to use and didn't take much time as I didn't have to wait for a phone operator like in the olden days. Secondly, they found my phone after one night, when I went to collect, the staff were extremely kind and helpful. I even got to see the control room!
Sad they removed one of the most important features of being able to check last train.
My experience is that it is plainly slow... I use the app just to check map and route suggestion. It takes ages to open the app, will sometimes requires an update and the map also takes ages to load. Waiting and waiting... Separate the map from everything else or make a lite version. Now it's just loaded with tons and tons of feature that does not really help the user in their everyday travel needs.
What does this software do? It seems to force me to give up private information to better target me with ads. I did not update and returned to a previous version. And: when it comes to the core functions like route search, travel times etc other apps perform better. On the whole the MTR does not give the impression to serve the population but to sell to them. This real life impression reflects well in the app. Now it refused to work without the update. Uninstalled.
Fast exit doesn't show for all places. Other apps have this info available.
Unable to change app language. My system language is English but I wanna display Chinese for this app. The language switch in the setting does not work
the game "Team Up, Rewards big" was not working last week, sometimes cannot entered, always said server busy, I missed many chances to earn the Star Stamps

Please improve to compatible to HarmonyOS / HMS for more user can use the Apps.
This app's behavior is inconsistent - sometimes loads, sometimes doesn't. It also takes forever to load. Most of the time spent on this app is wasted restarting the app. The app's most useful feature, next train, used to be a separate app with no app problems. Why did you change this? My suggestion is to revise the app to load only modules that are immediately used and allow users to pick default pages on application load.
This app is still basically useless. Next Train function for all lines would meet move it to "useful" category.
It would be more convenient if a desktop shortcut is available for My Ticket, just like Alipay's EasyGo. Thanks

"MTR app has stopped" message has been appearing more frequently for the past few months. Although it works after reopening the app but it is quite annoying everytime you are getting error message for no obvious reason. Please fix this glitch, bug, or whatever is the problem.
The traffic news is not provided in real time and is not up-to-date. Always get trouble in using the app to plan my jounery, in which my schedule MUST be deferred if I 100% trust the path it suggested. I strongly recommend you NOT to download this app. If you would like to plan your jounery in HK, I would recommend Pokeguide instead, which always provides up-to-date and real-time information and its suggested paths covers all kinds of public transport instead of the subway only.
When I used this app to find my way, I was faced with either "Quit App" or "Update now". Why can't you allow user to use it for the time being & update the version later? The user is in a hurry and has no time to wait for the downloading & updating. Besides, he might have limited data usage left. One won't mind data downloading upon starting the apps for more accurate info, but would detest version updating at this moment!
Except for my airport transfer where I used the bus, the MTR was my only mode of transportation when I travelled in Hong Kong alone. I was able to use the app every time I rode the MTR and it was very helpful in indicating the stations and exit points I have to go to in order to reach my destination. It works well offline too.
The updated app has too much advertising covering the screen. Makes the UX horrible. Its not usable when looking at the map. I rather just download a picture of the MTR maps and skip the new app. Update: new app also sends you alot of spam. How awesome......
Exceptional bad next train function. Always “status temporary (should read permanent) not available“. When available, sometimes its wrong (different from platform display). Just disastrous. Also fairly useless when you only display how many minutes the trains will come (useless if you need to plan to catch not the next train).
recently receiving notification about traffic update and even in the app the icon shows as traffic status is available. however once I click into the icon[within a minutes of the notification prompt], no status is shown.is this a bug from the mtr app? either there is or there isn't an update. Slight short term improvement but still missing notifications.
The online tickets purchase for airport didn't work. Most frustrated with the customer service response 😡- please try to buy online again with another email address. It's their suggestion. Or buy at a customer service counter, then call back and let us know the reference number, then we can refund in 60 days!!!!!! What kind of suggestion is that? Totally not helpful. Technical support not adequate. Only good for maps.
Works pretty well for figuring out where you need to go and the traffic updates are timely and clear. Don't bother trying to buy any merchandise off this App; the payment system is incredibly complicated and not mobile friendly.
I use it for everyday work, and I travel to lots of places, can say the estimated time is quite accurate. But, I didn't use any other functions on the app, really.
Downloaded the app because MTR website's fare calculator requires too many steps to find a fare between two stops. Of course the MTR app doesn't even include the fare on the trip planner. Just provide the information and keep it simple!
the old version is much better, I need to keep online to check the time required and the fee between each station, whoch drains my battery and data. I want to check the time and fee offline so that I can look for info in a sealed room
Poor system design! The Trip Planner doesn't provide fare amount information after inputting the starting station and destination. At Buy Tickets, there are only the informations about the monthly ticket without showing point to point ticket overview. Keep exploring the apps and still can't find the ticket information.
