Mupen64+AE FREE (N64 Emulator)

The external controller support is great, and a must have since the on-screen buttons are lackluster. I use it on my older device with Android 6, since my newer device has issues, as told by other reviews. One issue I have is the sound production. It is higher-pitched than normal, and has points where audio cuts out for a few frames. Perhaps is due to the files I am using being pal instead of ntsc, or the other way around; I'm not sure.

Works great on its own! Would rate it 5 stars if it had FULL Ps4 controller support. I notice it has 360&Ps3(neither of which are bluetooth to phone capable tho lol) as well as Xperia and OUYA support. None of these options work in place of a Ps4 option. Upon trying to customize the Ps4's inputs you'll find that the left stick, dpad, and right stick are all considered the same and thus dont map properly. But diagnostics recognizes them individually.. its only mapping that doesnt.

I don't know why people don't like this app, it's great. Some of the reasons I like this app are that it has a good controller mapping system, I've had no emulation problems, the menus are very easy to navigate, and it has a black color scheme rather than a white one. I highly recommend this app for anyone who wants to emulate N64 games on your phone or tablet.

Emulator works like a charm. I am using a Chromebook and I can even use my controller to play my .z64 ROMs. I tested this emulator using a remake of the Spaceworld '95 demo of Super Mario 64 and I found barely any issues except the sound is a little bit slow at times, but nothing too bad. I'd recommend using this emulator because it is just about flawless. It's so fun to use.

This emulator is great for a lot of games ,but the one problem I had was that the option to fast foward the game some times didn't work.But the emulator allows you to break a lot of games because of the cheats they allow you to have.Which I think is cool.And of course it run amazing!😀😀Oh and just one more thing if you want games in the emulator you have to look up a link to download the game.

Great app, I love being able to play the Zelda games I grew up with. A few bugs and kinks need to be worked out, especially with the cheats but overall I like this app a lot. Also adding a tab or section to the main screen that allows you to download or search for more ROMs would be incredibly useful.

All emulators are not perfect including this one, some games work perfectly but there are others that don't like when you open your menu in some games you only are able to see a black screen. Also there are textures that don't load correctly so instead of the normal texture it's black also I noticed that in some games you will see the textures go crazy at some points in certain games. Also almost all games have there music at a higher pitch. Please fix this.

I love this app it lets me play all my favorite n64 games, and it is compatible for some roms, they just lag a little. The only downside is it only allows 64bit roms. But I get that because it is a 64bit emulator. I just want to play Super Mario 64 remastered. Thank you for making this the best emulator ever.

It works. I suggest downloading ROMs from Vimm's lair. PLEASE READ: You need to add a graphic plugin for no glitchy screen. Go to settings and plugins and put the newest graphic plugin. Then your set. I suggest looking through all the settings. There is a lot of cool things to mess with.

This Is The Best N64 Emulator Ever! It's Running Turok 2 Smoothly But Did Anybody Know How To Fix Video Glitch While Playing Vigilante 8? Because It Just Black Screen I Can Hear The Music Playing Smoothly But I Can't See Anything, I Already Try To Change The Video Plugin But It Still The Same, I Hope This Glitch Could Be Fixed, And Also Thank You Very Much For Making This Awesome N64 Emulator👍👍👍 I Owe You One.😊

I actually dont understand how this is this good, i have an eighty dollar chromebook and im running zelda ocarina of time perfectlt. The controls and how smooth the gameplay was really blew me away. this is a five start emulator and i 100 percent recommend it. You can set keyboard keybinds if you want which is a huge gamechanger and its just perfect.

Amazing Emulator for the N64! I recommend this emulator if you don't want to spend your money on an N64. Just download any N64 game files, change your controls and your good to go! The best emulator of an N64 for Mobile out there! There is a few problems, like in smash bros, some of the characters' eyes disappear. Other than that its Amazing! A+ for the emulator.

The experience is almostt as good as the actual console. The only thing is that audio can be choppy, but thats probably because I have a lower end phone from 3 years ago. Way better than the normal versions of Mupen

It's an okay emulator but I didn't play for more than a minute because of this, there's HIGH PITCHED SOUND! I know it's high pitched because I was playing mario kart and it sounded higher pitched than the original music. If you fix this, I will gladly reinstall.

It works great only reason it gets 4 stars and not 5 is because the game slows down alot and so does the audio when an ad thats about to pop up (there is no ads in this app my tablet just shows them at random) or when im about to get a notification. Other than that would recommend 😁

No longer working properly on newer phones such as Samsung Note 10+. 1. BT controller mappings use to work fairly well however now when I try to map or remap any of the sticks it always puts 56(+) but doesn't map anything. Using profiles enabled limited controls but mapping just doesn't. 2. Game saves to external sd no longer work either. Loading works though but can't save

It's not really that bad but it needs some improvements. There should be a option for like adding new buttons to put on the emulator for certain games to just add.

It works exquisitely well as an emulator. There's still a few games it can't run but still worth it. Run pretty smoothly too. I just wish that mapping controls would be easier though

This game is good because I can actually configure my bluetooth controller (unlike other emulators) but whenever I try to play zelda it glitches, when I play majora's mask the background turns black when I pause it and in a certain part of clock town every thing keeps becoming invisible and then visible at a rapid pace, and I know it's not the rom because things like that happen with another zelda game also

The emulation qaulity is suprisingly good, But the only good way to play this emulator is on a chromebook. sometimes the tris of a model will mess up, but with certain games the menus just disapear.

Almost Games run great, but the sound is off by a little, and there are graphical glitches on some games (though I think that may be the ROM and not the emulator).

The main, and most important fuction you need to play any game, doesn't even work. The navigational pad to goor move, Up, Down, Left, or Right, doesn't function, so there is absolutey no way to play any game. One thing I hate are develpoers who post apps for people to download that are underdeveloped, and are not even close to the features that they advrertise the app capable of performing , and apps that don't even fuction at all. I hate most of all is Google allowing them on playstore.
