The app doesn't really match the screenshots. Basic functionality is there but it seems less streamlined than other apps. It is a clunky UI and doesn't integrate with any other services to track workout and steps. Customer service was less than helpful about explaining these issues and are making it difficult to start a refund process. Be warned.
I have been training for 9 years and it was time to try something new. I found this through the social media ads. Now, for the review, it will be an honest one. Having gone from big weights it was good to go and try something different. It was.mixed up with a good balanced workout. As much as the workouts helped a bit, I begun feeling that Im missing a point of a mental switch off time, so that might be an issue as well. Also, workouts did skip certain parts of the body, like calves, abs etc
App looks different from the one addvertised. On the ad you could select muscle groups and it would give you a variation or exercises that you can preform for those muscles. Which I thought would be great to mix things up at the gym. The meal plans, morning routines and other features look great and easy to use. But unfortunately I should of done the free trial first.
Really poorly designed app. Not useful in the gym at all. Can't disable patronising voice over. "next" workout is always rest so you've no idea what's coming next. Auto progresses, so forget walking to next machine or drinking water. Forgets adjustments to tweaked workouts. Basically the autoplay/progress kills this app. Meal plans are bananas, suggests I take 1,000cals per day, sure I'll lose weight, utterly unmaintainable for my body weight or type. Meals are pretty but unlikely. Hard pass.
I found this app to be quite confusing and with a not so good UI/UX. There is a very large list of workouts, which is good, but what's not that good is that you can't search, you can't filter for muscles groups, you can't edit or preview the workout or favourite a specific workout. Once you start a workout you can't see how many exercises are remaining or change the order, which is specially bad since often the machine you need is already occupied and you have to leave the exercise for latter.
The workout is great. The app has issues. Unless they get fixed I probably won't continue the subscription. 1. Give me a way to remember how much I'm lifting in an exercise. 2. Sometimes a machine is busy. Let me pick an alternative then and there. And/or let me skip and move the round down so I can pick it up later. 3.tell me what's in the set before I start it. 4.Speak the set name so I dont have to look at the phone. 5.Let me continue after i turn the screen off. Don't want to start over.
AVOID! Decided to try this app but the damn thing freezes all the time! Have yet to have an uninterrupted workout where I didn't have to either skip or restart. I don't even know why they bother with a loading gauge. It's not my connection or my phone. On a Samsung S21 Ultra, 5G or 1Gbps WiFi, it just won't play completely to it's conclusion. It's likely Muscle Booster's cloud servers. I hate that I paid money for this. Thankfully I only got a month's service. DO NOT USE THIS APP OR SERVICE !!
amazing! at first I was thinking way! now I'm a believer! every single workout dust me off!!! I'll give you five stars when you can fix the bug. if you exit out or tap it wrong or even sometimes if you rotate the screen it will start you over. not a deal breaker but very very annoying when. you are in the zone. fix this and I'll give you 5 stars! BUUUUUTTTTT still an amazing app don't know if I'll ever use anything else. please please fix the bug!
This app is full of dark patterns. If you go to the support page to deactivate auto-renew, they say you need to reach out to support, no doubt for an upsell. If you actively look, you can find the cancel subscription button, but then it forces you to write a reason with a character limit. Then you go to cancel, and it won't unsubscribe you unless you click this tiny X to close their desperate lower-price offer once you've decided to cancel. Absolutely no respect for their users.
Day one... trying to get back into shape. I'm a 66-year-old man close to retirement. Muscle booster doesn't have an appropriate category for my age. So I'm taking it down one star. Their age based personalized plan categories closest to my age is 46+. Since I'm 20 years older, my individualized plan starts at a level that is energetically appropriate, but the exercise postures have to be modified by me in order to complete the exercises. Nevertheless, I'm old enough to do that on my own.
The app is doing its job, but they keep changing the interface for some reason. I think the last one was much better. The app glitches in the process of a workout at times and there are some things that overall don't make sense, for example having more strenght workouts per week, when you set your goal for weight loss
Avoid this app. I paid full price for this app and have nothing but regret. It doesn't track my workouts when I select and complete them. The timers are never accurate and the app constantly freezes or glitches. There are many many far better options out there. Paying for a premium app should give you a premium experience. This app is not even as good as most free apps out there. Avoid altogether.
I couldn't get a response from the company after repeated technical issues. I finally cancelled after I couldn't even log in and it said my email address was not recognized, although I was certainly still paying for the subscription and my address never changed. At one point I had to keep using old phone because it wouldn't let me log in on a new phone. OK app if it works... but it doesn't.
Wanted to try the app since they had 30-day money back. After I paid for my "personal plan" they tried to sell me extra products 3 times which was not a good sign. I selected to workout at home but my personal plan included exercises on gym equipment. Then when I tried a workout it kept getting stuck with an error. I decided to take them up on the 30-day money back guarantee but as it turns out you have to use their app for 30 days and prove you did to be eligable for a refund. Not happy.
Horrible User Experience, not at all like the advertisements. There are no animated exercises that you see in the ads at all. You log in and get a blank calendar and there is no navigation to the routines. That's why I signed up for this and I can't even find them.
Hello, I want to tell my story and share my experience with using this service. I have been exercising according to my program for almost a month.Already, after two weeks of training, my physical condition worsened. I began to have a headache. I get tired and sleepy all the time.I went to see a therapist. The doctor, in turn, assured me that the reason for all this was an uneven workload that suggested the app. It has been a week since I did anything, and everything has indeed returned to normal
This is a very limited app. It has limited exercises and no instructional videos. It is not worth the money. I've seen more content in free apps. The Company also sign you up to a no refund policy, so it's clear their only interest is to take your money. AVOID LIKE YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT. All I can do now is hope they'll honour the fact my subscription is cancelled and not continue to charge me.
Misleading advertising, won't even offer a refund. They advertise the application as 3d tutorials of the exercises on Instagram which is important for me to learn easier however the application doesn't actually have this. I've even referred friends to this service before I started using it myself. The fact they still won't provide a refund is a disgrace, the worst purchase I have ever made.
App has serious issues loading and you need reception on order to use this app. I also don't like that I can't pause a workout if I am interrupted. If you leave the app on your phone it completely resets your workout?
I installed the app and filled in all of the "set your goals ect" but when I try to pay fo the subscription it just says ' transaction failed ' without saying why. It's definitely not because there's no money in my account because I checked, please fix this.
Specially like the user friendly interface, also the workout plans are quite good. I would like too suggest, using more HIIT workout plans could be a really good idea. Keep up the good work mates! Cheers!
This cheap app doesn't even have a basic offline function. I don't understand what I was charged for. The functionality is sparse and creepily trivial.A lot of free analogues offer many more features. All you have to do is look in the Play Market.I was guided by the fact that it is paid and should offer more. But I was wrong. I cannot study because I have a bad connection out
Not very intuitive but gets the job done. 1st problem is the step counter is obnoxious. Even when it's in my pocket all day it does not track my steps accurately. Also, the demonstration on screen are sometimes unclear on what's going on, and the app only gives you 3 seconds to review. Overall it does the trick but very annoyed with the experience. Also, the screenshots on the playstore do not accurately show you the try experience.
Crashes Constantly. Every time I try to go to a different app during my workout like to change my music, answer a text, stop my audio book, etc. the app closes and I have to start the workout over again and spend a couple minutes clicking through all the exercises I've already done. It crashes and doesn't save my progress so I can pickup where I left off. Super frustrating to have to stop your workout several times to restart the program.
For me, its the only workout app that provides a complete set of workout from warm up, main exercises to cool down. Though it will be nice if we can use this app in an offline mode.
days infinitely scroll horizontally. when an exercise ends there are 3 beeps. the last beep ends more than a second earlier than the timer. make the beep end on the timer. the app sends notifications to start the exercises for the day even when the app is open and you are doing your exercises.
After purchasing the workout plan, i Can't even complete one workout without the app freezing. Causing all of the progress to be lost. No way to track weights or progress, go back, look forward at the rest of the workout. Try elsewhere this is not worth the trouble
The developers simply deprived people of the opportunity to try out their app before paying. You can only see what they offer after you buy a subscription.I understand their decision. Obviously, they ran out of money and the deadline was tight. They decided to release an unfinished, raw product and sell it. After all, if there had been a trial period, no one would have stayed here and definitely not have bought a subscription. It's very simple. My grade is zero.
I was like a lot of you, wondering if it was worth the money. It actually is not that much and it really made me try. once I started I just had to keep telling myself it is time for this change in my life to happen and this app really did help. I am still a beginner when it comes to exercising and the work outs this has me doing has helped me a lot both physically and mentally because I was actually able to do them(obviously a little challenge at first) and just that made me feel like I can doit
Hate to do this but very annoyed and disappointed. Faulty App, always freezing or starting from the beginning if you take a call, pop out and pause for a minute or 2. Very frustrating... Don't buy the app! As they don't refund you even though the app is faulty... Numerous emails sent and nothing came of any of the queries for refund and issues with the app... Very unfortunate... Was looking forward to putting it to use.... On to the next...
