Very intermittent functionality. Works well when it connects. However, I only get a 60% success rate. Going to try the Amazon Auto Echo when it ships.

Crashes every time. Will not allow sign in. Has a bug that needs fixing otherwise muse speaker is a waste of time.

This app is very frustrating to use! I haven't been able to set up my device because the app keeps crashing and closing down!!!! Not happy at all

The devise can not find the app, or it does not connect to the bluetooth properly. I gave to uninstalk and restall time and time again. Very frustrating process and devise.

Initially, it was very inconsistent with my Note 8. I ended up disconnecting it and putting it up and just recently plugged it back in after doing the Android 8 update. Now everything seems to work much more consistently. Works about 99% of the time. Another minor issue I had which was initially very frustrating was the fact that the magnetic mount didn't tightly hold the Muse pod down and with every slight movement caused a lot of mic noise. I ended up putting some double stick tape on there and solve the problem. I have no intentions of removing it from my Dash. The app seems to be improving as well over time. The only feature I would like to see is maybe caching music for when the internet goes down, the music doesn't instantly stop.

Drains battery. If I am at home and I inadvertently tap the Muse app, it starts to scan for the device, never times out and I have to reboot the phone. Doesn't provide an option to shut down the app.

Had it for 4 months now and still no spotify or pandora support...its time to get a clue guys, or better yet someone else just create one that gives us full access to what are echo normally does in the house...this issue is getting old already

Very close to one of the worst devices I've owned. Connecting is a frustrating game of hit and miss. I have an anker Roav VIVA in my other vehicle and it just works. Also, Spotify has been promised but undelivered for too long!

Love the device. Here are a few tips to help. Open the app on your phone when heading to car. Start car, push button on device. Very easy. Connects within seconds. I found if I'm running around I say pause on my playlist. When I come back just say play. Plucks right back up. As far as the beeping when you've left the car, close the app. Update. The app, once opened, stays in a state of sleep and availability on my phone. I don't have to open it each time.

With a little finessing i was able to get my Note 8 and, Ford Sync to communicate with this device...works 100% of the time...would give it 5 stars if MUSE could work with Pandora and Spotify.... TAKING A STAR AWAY!!! 2 MONTHS LATER...STILL NO PANDORA AND SPOTIFY

Buggy as @#$%

Waited months for this to be shipped to the UK and Spotify is still not available. This is a huge flaw. The software and device are also extremely slow. I have 2 Echo's at home of which there is no delay. This app takes several seconds between the work 'Alexa' and it being ready to listen which makes the advert they put out a complete fabrication. I will continue to use it as best as I can but so far, it hasn't made my life easier. As for the app, the option to enable skills should also be available and linked to the Amazon account. I already have the Alexa app due to the Echo's in my house but it means I need multiple apps to make this work... including Amazon Music. It's good idea but it's got a long way to go EDIT: I am revising my rating from 2 to 3 stars simply because plugging the Aux cable in and disabling "Phone" from the Bluetooth functionality has caused the device to speed up quite substantially. Considering the Muse device doesn't support calling, I'm not sure why this is even a feature but doing this has helped greatly. The response from Muse regarding Pandora is a bit redundant to the UK market as Pandora is blocked in the UK. We need Spotify!

The concept of this product is great. In fact I wanted it to work so much I went to the trouble of using Automate to write some scripts to actually make this product work. Using Automate, I make Muse open when my phone connects to my car's Bluetooth. Then when Bluetooth disconnects, Automate sends a command to Muse to stop the music. I found connection issues with Alexa as I was leaving my house, so I also have Automate turn off my WiFi on Bluetooth connect. These steps make this product absolutely usable. No more opening the app when you get in your car, and no more yelling at Alexa as you leave the house because of connection problems. Outside of that, it is a little slow to process commands, are there are issues with the microphone and road noise. But the product becomes extremely useful if you take those steps with Automate. I find it questionable that those features aren't baked in to Muse, and I wonder if the creators actually use their own product. UPDATE: After going over the latest updates with Muse support, the auto-connect feature does appear to be working now without external app support. I still use Automate for managing the Internet connection handoff between WiFi and cellular, but it is no longer needed for connecting to the car over Bluetooth. Star added to the review to reflect that.

I love this device and the app. My only complaint is the lack of Pandora

A. G. u. Mar 7, 2018

I bought this because i wanted a more trouble free alternative to Google Voice for my car. Unfortunately, it's ability to hear is so poor that I couldn't get past the basic setup until I turned off everything, went into my garage to avoid any external noise and set it up that way. I used it for a day and I found it easier to use Google Voice for everything that I wanted to use this app for. I should have looked up the reviews here before I bought it because it's a common sentiment. This product is not ready for consumer release.

Yeah this thing is terrible. So slow. Barley hears you. Can't do basic stuff over car noise. Very frustrating. Probably much better off just putting a Echo Dot in the car. Really wanted it to work. Pity 😢

Kev. M. Mar 11, 2018

Slow and unresponsive.

Ric. H. Mar 3, 2018

Returned the product cause it had to many bad things and false advertising...

Cor. C. Feb 18, 2018

Want a refund. Takes forever to connect. Doesn't hear me. Frustrating.

Joh. H. Feb 18, 2018

I very much want this to be great but my frustration with it has peaked. Scott Lesher's review sums up my experience, so I'll just direct you to his review. Sadly, I've disconnected it and will wait for improvements.

Edw. B. Jan 29, 2018

It would be great if it understood you over standard car noise without yelling. Also won't work well thru Bluetooth if you want to listen to your radio data free and have alexa reply thru the stereo. Won't shift audio output if connected to Bluetooth device.

Mic. C. Mar 2, 2018

I don't have a major issue with the product it hears me most of the time but one thing that happens a lot when asking questions it cuts off the first few seconds of the answer. Also please explain why you're requiring an account created with the most recent update? I'm not talking about the Amazon log on. I'm glad I keep backups and was able to roll back one release. Thanks

Love it. Works great with my Galaxy S8+.

Sco. L. Jan 22, 2018

It's pretty cool to have Alexa in my car but it's very hard to get it's attention sometimes I have to yell at it. The main thing I wish this had was GPS capability UPDATE: after using it for a few days I'm honestly getting a bit frustrated. I have to yell just about as loud as I can to get it to hear me, and mind you my car is quiet. Hopefully this will improve... Although I'm not sure simple software updates can fix this, but here's hoping. I can't seem to get it to work at all until I open the app on my phone, is that how it's supposed to be?? More updates to come UPDATE 2:. now more than half the time it will not respond to voice at all until I hit the microphone button. I can yell "Alexa" directly into the mic and nothing. Also, when I tell it to play music I usually say "shuffle my ___ playlist" and it starts playing, but it will not shuffle off the bat, it plays in alphabetical order until I tell it to shuffle again. Also realized one thing I miss about my old Bluetooth setup, the buttons lit up so I could see them at night.

App is ok and here are some pros and cons. PROS: Love that i can use my steering wheel to change the tracks. Telling Alexa to call someone is great as well. Now i can listen to 90's musix when i want CONS: Connection to the device in my car is spotty. Sometimes it connects instantly, and others it takes a while. Also, the voice recogniton is not all there. The Echos have 7 mics. How many does the Muse have? Considering road noise, ac and heat vent sounds, i have to yell at times. Last is tje delay when sahing Alexa. It takes a few extra seconds to understand what was said and then to actually say it. Forgot to add one last thing. Why when my phone disconnects from my car, the app is still running? Jusf now as i kay on the couch using my phone, the Muse app just popped up outta nowhere and says "tap for alexa". Shouldnt the app open and close when connecting and disconnecring to muse and BT?.............. UPDATE: with the latest update, there is still no difference. I need to open the app when i get in my car. Yesterday as i was using Alexa, i needed to lower the volume of the radio and the heater for Alexa to hear me. Kind of an annoyance especially if one is to use Alexa constantly. Also i had a question.... when leaving your car, does alexa continue to play music on the phone in the background?

Nice to have Alexa in the car!
