Music Flow Player

Maddening for speaker control. We use this app only to control our LG speakers and sound bar. It is incredibly difficult to use, sound bounces between the speakers, and the speaker sometimes disappear in the app and have to be re-added. It is not intuitive, either. The menus are hard to follow, and the explanations are unclear. It is a terrible app for this purpose, and we use it only because there is no good alternative. If I were buying new speakers, I might avoid LG solely because of app.

This is my third response. Customer service is abysmal. App is useless. I've installed it 5 times today. Turned WiFi off and on many times. Turned LG SoundBar off and on many times. Still no connection either wired or wireless. I've got H7 surround speakers which sometimes appear on the app and sometimes don't. LG have totally screwed this one. I'm never buying their equipment again. It's a total waste of money.

Mixed feelings towards this app. My mistake, for buying a GSM unlocked phone as it camr without a preinstalled music app. So I needed to download some sort of third-party music app. And, unfortunately, this was that downloaded app. It plays your music which is great. But your customization is limited to almost nothing and the app doesn't look user friendly or attractive in any way. It doesn't have audio options for headsets either. It's a very basic and unfinished application.

Update: I uninstalled then reinstalled the app and reset everything and it started working again. Not perfect but a little better. The app and soundbar features are nice when they "decide" to work. Previous review: Will not sync with soundbar anymore. Google cast won't work anymore. Somehow a neighbor was able to accidentally connect to soundbar with their laptop and it interrupts my TV watching all the time! Bad app, bad soundbar. All sorts of trouble

I'm not sure what happened, but recently my google mini stopped recognizing the speaker, I have followed all troubleshooting guidelines, uninstalled and reinstalled, unsynced and resynced. Once Google sees the soundbar, it plays for only a minute or so. Too bad, the chromecast feature was too good to be true I guess. It doesnt work at all without the app unfortunately. No recent update on the app either. Too bad, I really liked that feature

Please update the LG music flow speakers firmware to a current version. They have been stuck with Chromecast 1.21 and this outdated version doesn't allow to stream on multiple speakers. My speakers are good quality and still working well. It's really annoying they can no longer do the job only because the firmware is not maintained

Keeps disconnecting. Keeps stopping after playing one song. Often have to reset all the speakers by adding them back to the list. Tried to get my wife to use them, but she has decided to go back to old school radio because she doesn't know how to reset when it kicks the speakers out.

So far so good, tried the app before and it didn't work with my sj 6 soundbar. I'm happy to see they done a lot of work on it, they even updated the firmware on the soundbar and it works great, you can practically control it only with the phone, I think the remote is gonna go in the box from now on 😂 Thank you for the work you put into making it so much more usable 🙂

It wouldn't pair with my device. I have an LG SK9Y, pretty expensive device. It claims to have Chromecast. I was able to stream music through regular Bluetooth, and to connect toy TV. Still no wifi streaming, nor Chromecast. Homebapo wouldn't find it. I'm in the right network, tried to connect to wifi, and steps in the app don't match perfectly with device behavior.

Horrible interface. Very confusing settings. Now my Bluetooth does not play to the speaker unless I force the app shut so I guess I'm just going to uninstall it and see if I can get it to work again it looks fine before I was just trying to do stupid update and figure out what all the settings were that I've never messed with

Good app, BUT keep stopping every few minutes when playing a song. Not connected to any speaker. Just stops... Painful. Would use the app more frequently with lg speakers

Unreliable, crashes constantly. WiFi connect doesn't work so have to stream using Bluetooth. Most infuriating is that it's completely unstable. LG: please fix it, if it worked properly it would be fantastic. LGV20 phone trying to work with a LG5.1 surround wireless soundbar.

Used to be good. Was able to use Tunein through Flow Player and play any radio station straight away. Now it just links to Tunein and opens it as a separate app, therefore making Flow Player more or less redundant. Might as well just go straight to Tunein.

Get a new Hi-Fi... it tells me to download this app but it doesn't include the Hi-Fi? LG... Don't replace an old app that used to function with your hardware with one that doesn't even list it!! This is worse than just not supporting something, you've actively broken an app that all your documentation tells me to download...

Good but could do with more settings like being able to switch off the display. Also can you please update the app to make it less complicated as it could be easier to navigate. Can we have an update please as it's been a long time since October last year! This seriously needs to be updated now...

Soundbar is permanently exposed to Bluetooth, non pairing code needed. Anyone passing the house can connect to the soundbar! No software update/fix available.. That's my last LG product, incredible trash for far too much $$$.

make some f**king instructions and a list of compatable soundbars sk9y wired doesnt find my bar says no bars connected ok tried wireless no bars connexted tried connecting to my wifi the bars wifi, and tried connecting it to my wifi while on the bars wifi network, and just absolutely nothing on top of all that my bar is fully updated and my CHROME CAST STILL WILL NOT WORK WITH TIDAL OR SPOTIFY so this is why i tried out the music flow app and stopped trying to use the lg wifi speaker app

Stops playing at random on lock screen, continues playing on phone speaker when unplugging auxillary cord, but doesn't when disconnecting Bluetooth. I have an LG G7 One which doesn't come stock with a music player you would think one designed by LG would work on an LG phone. Not disappointed with the phone LG but you gotta up your software game.

Unable to connect to WiFi. I need the Mac address of my sound bar. It's not located on the unit itself. I have a WiFi system that I have to enter the Mac address into our account to get it to connect to the WiFi. How do I retrieve the Mac address for this app to work with my WiFi. No hard connection is allowed on our modem/Router.

I subscribed to Tidal music. I could not get Tidal to chromecast my LG SH7 soundbar. However, I can cast Spotify to my soundbar. The MusicFlow App also does not list Tidal or Spotify as chromecast enabled apps. Bad experience with LG products.

Simply began to say it could not play most of my songs. Other players can play the songs. Very frustrating as I spent alot of time creating playlists.

Needs a Negative option in the AV Sync Adjustment setting. My audio is slow and lags behind the video and needs to be sped up not delayed further. Please add in a negative sound function asap!

new version is listing plex media music incorrectly. some entries are duplicate, and some are missing. Older version 1.9.71 on my other phone works fine. Please fix

Doesn't work with stereo we just bought that said it was compatible with this app. Also can use Google Music through this app. I'll go back to bluetooth connection.

App has never been reliable. Now it's started crashing when trying to rename a speaker.

The app doesn't allow updating the firmware of the soundbar, doesn'tallow me to disable the mesh network (i only have a sound bar, connected to wired network)

I installed it on my older pc once and the software worked (it was garbage as a software though lol). The app though? Doesn't work at all though. Does not connect.
