Setup Instructions:In Kodi go to System -> Settings -> Services and enable the following settings:
- Webserver -> Allow control of Kodi via HTTP
- Remote control ->Allow programs of this system to control Kodi
- Remote control -> Allow programs on other systems to control Kodi
FAQ:
- Yellow server icon: Usually the option “Allow programs on other systems to control Kodi” has not been enabled in Kodi. For more info see http://goo.gl/0EiYzN
- How to force Refresh Music Library: Long-press on the server name and select refresh music
- Music or Video library is empty: In order to see your music and video files you need to enable the library function within Kodi and scan your music and video files to the library.
- By default the application uses a “local” queue for music playback: This has the big advantage of having a very flexible queuing system. However this has some limitations you may not like: You cannot control music playback from more than one remote at a time (which may be good since other family members can't clear your play queue by mistake), skipping songs using a hardware remote control won't work since only one song is in the Kodi queue. The unlocked version has a feature to use the Kodi queue to bypass these limitations.
- Playlists are not visible: In Kodi playlists must be in a special folder. See http://wiki.XBMC.org/index.php?title=Playlists
- Streaming music / video is not working: The reason may be that no source is created in Kodi (sources.xml). Some Kodi versions (e.g. raspberry pi) allow scraping of media files without adding a source. Kodi will only allow downloading/streaming media which is defined inside a source. In case of doupt ask in the Kodi forum

this app does right what it has to do right: smart navigation (from viewing an album to all music by album artist for example), proper playlist navigation and a fine homescreen (last played albums, most played albums, random suggestions). In short: much what the Kore app lacks. Although I still use Kore as remote.
I've tried other remotes and they all pretty much do the job. The reason I tried this one was that the app description noted the ability to cast local media to Kodi, and didn't describe this as a paid feature ... drum roll, it is a paid feature. Probably a perfectly fine remote otherwise, but nothing draws me to this one over Yatse or Kore.
Not great. Cover art for albums in my collection that I access via Kodi mysteriously wont load, all of them popular well known albums. Really annoying, even if there is some fix I cant be arsed with an app that couldn't even manage cover art properly - it should just work. Use one of the other many Kodi remote control apps that can manage this better.
Application is promising but has too many issues and I can't find the proper thread on Kodin Forum. So I will give up because I don't want to use all my time with an application that doesn't work properly.
Fantastic app! Using this with a headless Rpi for casting from my 40tb media server to multiple Chromecast audio devices throughout my house. Works flawlessly. Thank you!
I paid for the app but the Chromecast streaming doesn't work.. I also sent a mail to fix it but no replies.. bad experience
Works great! Would love volume control other than mute but otherwise checks all the boxes that I'm looking for in a Kodi remote!

It's ok..
By far the best kodi remote. Well designed UI. My favourite feature is that I can easily switch between local and remote playback.
Perfect in most ways and way better than Kore. I'd give it more than four but I'm using it as PVR remote only and it seems like I can't choose that as start. Also when hiding menus the music and movies tabs are still there. I'd like a PVR tab too.
Good so far. Missing some features that Yatse has.

Was amazing, is amazing. Better than the official kodi foundation remote as it supports streaming/casting videos from mobile.

Impressive! As a longtime Kore user, I was skeptical this app would do anything more than Kore and most likely bloat a functioning tool down with flash and nonsense behind a paywall. I was proven wrong after about a 10 minute trial. The app was populated flawlessly with a library of over 2k videos and 6000 songs, even the artwork and settings to change individual view modes in each category menu. I wish play queues would transfer from Kodi to the app, but it is mentioned available when unlocked
