This is seriously an awesome app... the "in app purchases" are really just an option to donate to the developer. There are no ads, nothing but content containing templates to build any scale, any chord, any mode, and then let's you hear them...Well done!
So handy to have the music theory available on my phone. Like the additions with the latest release. Thanks.
Awesome App- great for practicing when you can't practice.
The piano worked half of the time. I thought the app would be like flashcards to work through all the scales, but it basically just provided definitions and one example. It's ok, but doesn't meet what I'm looking for.
I use to use this app a while ago and it worked great, however; upon buying a new phone the app does not work as probably. I'm going to assume that the app was not designed for larger screen phones. Also, when I try to play the tuner or the piano the sounds does not play.
Aye just wanted to shout out the developers and say this is awesome. It's super straightforward and is perfect for me who's trying to learn theory as a self-taught multi-instrumentalist as opposed to 'guitar theory' lessons followed by voice lessons followed by 'piano theory' lessons etc. I'll definitely be breaking this out during practice AND writing sessions. Thanks fellas and/or madams for all the work put into this, I fully intend on stocking up on some coffee soon! Cheers
Biggest gripe is that the sounds for the ear training exercises don't start until 10-20 seconds after you've started. So in a 60 second exercise, you can lose up to a third of your time. Other than that, the information on this is fine.
I liked a lot this app, the only problem is that when you start to play the chord or interval detection it doesn't start automatically or when I tap the "play" button, the only way to run this its to try guess the first one and then get and fail or pass mark to begin the exercise correctly
For some time, I was taking private lessons for reading music. Now I know there's no substitute for an actual teacher, but this app would have made my learning accelerate tremendously. I can't recommend it enough.
Very good app. But, I think there is a bug on using exercises for intervals and chords. The notes don't play few times in the start. I'll be putting 5 stars if these are fixed.
Great app, so useful! However, it would be really useful to have the names of the notes (e.g. crotchet, quaver etc), in the section 'Note Values'. I appreciate that many people will already know these names, but it might be useful to those who don't know. Such a good app for everything else. Thanks.
i love it, it makes music theory much easier to learn
The Scale Builder guides you through all scale options based on any given root note. Very useful for writing music as a novice. I dig it. Thank you
Why is there no diminished twelfth in the intervals section? Edit: that's an unusual choice...
sinple to use and navigate. information is well developed and explained simply. definitely a good tool for those wanting to develop their musical understanding and technique.
The app is awesome. The only problem is that the listening exercises lag while the count down timer keeps on going. This means that I cant get many correct answers
A great app for the basics of reading and understanding music. Unfortunately wasn't what I was looking for, but definitely well worth installing if you're just getting started with music
This app is helping me write songs because im bad with intervals...i love it. And everything is totally free and not cluttered with a million ads. Best app on the entire play store in my opinion
I love this app. but the exercise area is not making sounds properly. So it's not easy to use. so its frustrating to use.
no way of knowing how a beginner can start from day 1 in this well advanced material. Well I didn't develop the app nor did I have contempt. I'm 50 yes old my son is beginning college soon major music and too build a more meaningful support as well as be more hands on mom I chose this app for the job.. Blessings Thanks ReGards
Revision material is nice, but the piano just flat out doesn't work. It gives feedback letting you know you pressed the key however getting a sound from it is insanely unreliable
Not a bad app. The game is a good tool for learning notation etc. and what can you expect for free. Its worth a look. PS the "impact on your life" question is a bit much please.
The listening part lacks a bit of attention. I'll surely increase rating if I can choose more instruments, in my case Guitar.
Seems to be an incredibly useful app. Great for brushing up on theory. Has been really helpful with my music writing process.
Looks pretty great so far, was wondering if there was plans for bass clef support, but otherwise perfect for what I need.
Man i love this app... Pretty easy to undertand and it helped me step up my melody game... Now i have an easier time making melodies and chords when im in the studio or simply making beats 🔥🔥☔🌂
Thank you developer to give me the opportunity to have this incredible app on my phone, I learn, I check when I have some doubt, I can even train me reading note. SO ( please add input midi per that game, gonna be cool to train me with also hand and coordination)
Excellent app! No ads so far. Easy navigation, great tools to help with learning music theory, I'm improving already.
