This is difficult to use, and the auto lowered volume thing, why are you trying to control my phone? I can't even simply put notes down and let it be.
Relatively well done app, good array of features although the interface requires getting used to because there is a lot of menuing required. The killer for me is that even though I purchased the full version, I don't have access to those features unless I'm online, making this an unusable app offline (which would have been where I used it most). Tldr; 2/5 Don't purchase if you wanted an app to use offline.
I thought this would be great for quick notes and mock ups. It is a pretty good tool. There are some frustrating things that maybe those learning music will like. For example, grace notes are difficult since you're choosing a note from within the chords in the note editor. As some others mentioned, changing chords is frustrating. I'd like to see the ability to double tap a chord within the note editor to modify the chord so I don't have to go back to the chord structure section. I usually write melodies, then the chords, but you're a bit trapped with this app to do chords first. Most of you probably start with chord structure. If so, this won't be as big of a problem for you.
You can't save or export songs so this is just a waste of time. Consider adding Saving or Exporting to the Free version to make me like it.
Look how many downloads look how many rates 23 people wow. You can't save what u own... Only 5 instruments.
I found chord handling very frustrating, there seems to be no way to change chord inversions or to raise or lower the octave. When the chord sequence i entered was played it was an octave higher than when entered.
Once you know how to use it there is nothing better on the app store. I wish it came with a good template rather than a demo. Like verse, verse, pre, chorus, verse, pre, chorus with drum builds and sustained chords. I think newbies would have an easier time and it would make it quicker to make mock ups.
There is a glitch in the notes editor that doesnt let you add voices in the correct octave.
This app has many features l have needed for chord study. This is a wonderful app for all musicians.
Very satisfied honestly, you guys definitely put some work into this. Do you make PC software as well?
It is so difficult to understand!!! I dont get it!!!! It is nothing!!!!!!!!! This is why i put 1 star!!! I tryed this and all it is is music!!
import: no matching what? lol. no
Can't save not free
I recommend to not get this game
Amazing tech service, I had some trouble and I got help within a few hours.
But I'm sure it can get the job done if you are willing to adapt...
What I most like is that I can change the chords and the melody automatically follows the new chord progression. This is very useful for exploring different ideas. I also like the editor, even thoug it takes a little time to learn.
Very interesting app. Looks like it has a steep learning curve but looks like it could be very useful. I'm going to keep trying to figure out how to use it. Should be worth it.
Easy to learn but you need a bit of time to get to know how it works. The good thing is that once you get past a reasonable learning curve the app can do amazing things for you. I especially like the fact that I can think in terms of chords rather than individual notes, although you can edit notes individually of course.
I made a song, then a second then a third. This app helps more than average music creation software. It's more on the writing/composition side than audio production, but you can't have everything in one place. I can write songs and I'm happy with that.
I made a song in minutes and still have to try all the features.
False advertising. Absolutely useless.
Wow. I cannot believe you need to pau in order to save your music.
I have to praise the level of depth this app offers, but it isn't as intuitive to use as Midsequer that although it is also unintuitive to a degree, its smoother and easier to understand visually. Music Writer is easy to learn but visually it's a mess.
