Musicnotes Sheet Music Player

This is a scam. They tell you to download this app to be able to print files that you've already paid for but then you can't print the files, can't download them, and you're just repeatedly prompted to sign in over and over again. Customer service is horrible, I have literally paid money for sheet music and I'm not able to print it or able to download it. Absolute waste.

Appalling for reading the music. If you're trying to sight-read on your phone, don't bother with this. If I try to slowly scroll sideways it zooms out, zooms in again, and then jumps to the next page. It's so uncomfortable to use that it's almost like the creators TRIED to make it difficult so that you'd be inclined to buy a print of the music - which I don't understand anyway. Surely if I spend £5 on sheetmusic, I already have the right to print it out? Website is OK but this is ridiculous.

Took me way too long to do this but I updated my rating because the customer service was very great. They responded and fixed the problem promptly and I am grateful. Still some ways the app/site could be better but ...its alright lol **old review** Very unhappy with the app right now. It was great up until today. Suddenly finding 0 search results for popular artists...one impeticular that I just looked at on here 3 days ago. The site finds it still but not the app...not cool.

frankly the experice is horrible. The service as a whole is usefull because its the only place to get alot of sheet music from various youtubers amoung other arangemnts but aside from the libary of sheet music everything is bad even playing back the sheet music is bad as you cant choose when to start its not interactive whatsoever its outdone complety bye muescore aside from some signature artists arangments if they decide to sell somehere else this platform would die almost instatly.

Update 1/15/22 can't view bottom of imported pdfs Old-latest version update resolved my issues. So far it is working well for my pdf song charts. Updated my review to 4 stars. Old review- Freezing issues - I like the design of the app but on my Samsung Tab A 10.1 tablet running Android it keeps freezing. I only use it to view my own PDF charts and in the middle of rehearsal, the app would not function and I had to reboot several times and revert back to paper charts.

Can you fix a bug?? when pinching to zoom a scoresheet, the screen snaps to a view that's not what I zoomed into. It's too bouncy, would appreciate a fix for this. Or? give us a way to increase the font size so chords can be read with more ease - either / or pls

I think it's a really great app even if you only get the first sheet free which is totally fine but today I am having a problem where the sheet music got wiped off I search anything that had been there before is now gone I go to check free sheet music and nothing shows up I only have songs I bought I need help pls fix this!

Really annoying for reading sheet music. When trying to scroll it often zooms instead and app is lagging when scrolling or changing page

Better than the desktop version. You can select parts of the song to play back on repeat.

Love the app for being able to keep all of my sheet music without having to lug around 10 lbs of music. But I've been using it for less than 2 weeks and it has frozen on me 3 times. What is worse is that I can't close the app or restart my tablet. It freezes everything so I can't do anything but wait for it to finish crashing. Pretty embarrassing mid-rehearsal to not have access to my sheet music. I will probably have to switch back to a heavy binder full of paper.

After signing up, downloading the app, purchasing the sheet music, and a failed print attempt I was promoted to pay again. Or I could play from my phone screen. The only point in paying is to print. Out of three pages it successfully printed 3 measures. This app and service is a scam

A barebones music reader. You can't even rewind a bar or click into a bar to start from. It has to start from the first bar of the whole piece. Absolutely pointless app. Uninstalling as soon as I click POST.

App is probably fine for 80% of use cases. But if like me you use Linux, when you download a printed sheet it will direct you to download the app on another computer/device. Fine enough, guess I'll use my Android phone. And then the app has no method with which to log in via FB, so I cannot access my account. Resetting my password has no effect. Thankfully I have a third device, a Mac book for work- and that fixed it But after all the money grubbing, all the deceptive dark patterns present

The music is cheaper if you buy it on the website vs the app, even with the pro membership. The whole "save $1 per song by going pro" is misleading since all prices are marked up by $1+ in the app. Disappointed. The app was supposed to make it easy, but if I still have to shop on the website to get the best price there is no need for the app. The only way it works out is if you buy the $15 point packs and use points to purchase songs.

Been using this app for 7 years for sheet music and the transpose feature and being able to take out the voice parts in the songs. That being said the app still has its flaws but once you get used to th UI it works well. You can use it for almost free too which is nice. It would be better if you had a little bit more control of tempo changes.

Feel if you pay €11.00 for 2 pieces of music, you shouldn't have to pay more to print a pdf also. Its a bit mean.

Update: It's finally working again! It's nice to be able to look up sheet music while on the go. Haven't really used it much yet but it is working again Used to be nice to have my music available when traveling, now it no longer works on my Galaxy Note 9 and it is ridiculously slow on my Samsung tablet when turning pages. I've just gone back to using the printed music, looking for a new app to display sheet music.

A frustrating user experience. Using this app on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S for over a year now, there still seems to be no shortage of crashes, hold-ups and unpredictable behaviour. Just leaving a score open, untouched, for a short while has the habit of freezing the entire app. Sometimes, one can't swipe the pages in a responsive manner - leaving you stranded. Touching the page can sometimes bail out of the score and send you back to your library list. I have also had this app take absolutely ages to load if no internet connection is found. I would not trust this app in a live environment. However, what it does do (when it isn't falling on it's arse) it does well.

When I first got the app it used to work great! It was easy to use, and I liked being able to have all music from musicnotes in one place, and being able to have it play my music. Now I can't get the app to open. I've tried deleting and redownloading, but it just stays on the loading screen before crashing. I hope that this can get fixed soon.

Great app, wide selection of music and transportations. The only issue I have is I can't get the app to playback on my pixel 3xl. The plus sign icon is there but it does not respond. I tested this out on my daughter's Moto X4 and it works just fine. If you guys could get this bug fixed that would make my life much easier. Other than that, it's a great app.

I would like this app more if I could two pages on one screen. I wouldn't have to stop to flip the page. I'm a beginner and anything that wrecks my train of thought is bad. They also need to keep the same page size when you flip pages. Otherwise you have to adjust page 2 like page 1. I screen mirror music to my TV to make it bigger. Otherwise I can't see. Anything that can speed up that process would make it more useful to me. Thanks Ptr

Good and bad -- great overall, good selection, nice setup. I find it a bit strange and inconvient that you can only buy the music through the website, not through the app. Also, it almost always crashes when I use it on my Chromebook. It will open, I can read the music but when I hit play it just crashes. Customer support said no solution. On my android phone it does the same. So I have now bought all this music but it will not play for me. Update, tried clearing cache as asked. Still no go.

I can only reiterate what others have said. Instantly crashed upon signing in, you can't select where to start playback from within a page and the app cannot handle playback at higher bpm. The most frustrating thing is requiring one of the musicnotes apps for playback, when it should be available on the website. If you can preview the first page of a song with playback in a browser, why can't the rest just be unlocked once purchased?

the app will not open! I've uninstalled and reinstalled at least a dozen times because I really want to use it. when I click open, I get the music note logo for approximately 20 seconds and then it closes. every. single. time. I've left feed back on Facebook and the response was that my Samsung S8 should work just fine. but it doesnt. it shuts down. I've restarted my phone, cleared history, cleared cache, reinstalled multiple times. it will not work.

Piano music is not true to many of the rock/country songs and often is not arranged correctly. Accompaniment music is not available most times, only a version where the right hand plays melody and left hand duplicates the bass part. Can't preview entire song in app to know what you're getting until after you pay for it, and if you request assistance when the music isn't correct or what you're looking for, customer service acts like you should have known better. And yet I keep trying. 🙄

The app keeps freezing after a few miutes of inactivity. It then does not allow me to return home for awhile. I am only using the app so I don't pay extra for a PDF download. Zooming in is extremely frustrating too. It is so unbelievably un-precise that it gets on my nerves every single time. If you are using this to display sheetmusic on a tablet, consider other options.

So far I have only made one purchase, I found that the song was $2 more through the app than the website. Not sure why there should be a price difference. The sheet music reader leaves much to be desired. There are fewer scrolling/page turning options than other apps. My main problem with it right now is that it is constantly freezing. After a few minutes, of practicing a section, I'll try to turn the page and it just won't respond at all. I have to restart the app in order to continue.
