Potentially an excellent and very useful app but unfortunately like others have said, some silly bugs prevent the app being used for long. The positives - Connects to youtube and you can even import your own playlists. Saves battery by not showing the video. Plays in the background allowing you to use the phone at the same time. The negatives - The next track button does not work properly especially when using playlists. Lucky if you get one of two tracks to play in a row from a playlist before you get errors such as "Cannot play that track, retry later" followed by app is not responding type errors. These tracks play fine on youtube itself. If the bugs are fixed i will change my rating as it wouldn't take much to make this app excellent

I dont usually make reviews but this app is great and I was struggling to find such one, the only down side is that the audio start and stop is missed up, i mean sometimes Im listening and someone call me the song will play on the call and the caller would hear it. if I want lestining and just hanged off a call the music will start playing right away ... and a couple more of system audio priorities problems. Edit : After updating to the latests version, all the annoying bugs are gone and it works profesionally now. And I freaking love the new interface and the song suggestions, this app is really a dream come true to me ! Huge thanks for the developers <3

Love the app, especially that I can create playlists. The only annoying thing is that the music doesn't pause when I receive a call. I can't hear the caller over the music, and I can't switch screens to pause the music until after I've answered the call. Please fix, then a 5 star rating.

Haven't used this application for a few weeks but the button to make a manual queued playlist of multiple songs clears the currently playing song. Also having many of the same issues with null search of previously played songs or artists. I have to search them again every session, which makes half the reason I wanted this app for moot. Would be a great application if not for these glaring limitations not having the same structure YouTube and so many others base their design on.

Good concept but a lot of bugs in current version (August 18 2019). Sharing songs and playlists via intents does not work. When quitting the app, the notification with play controls disappears at first (correctly). After a little while this notification shows again, completely empty, even without MusicPiped in the list of active applications!

It has many bugs. Sometimes it sucks battery (busy CPU) - then I cannot easily kill it to save my battery as it still keeps running. Sometimes (I think when OS unloads it for memory reasons) it can no longer reload from the notification bar and I need to start the app by icon again. And I need to click play button twice, first click is ignored. Also after new start it forgets the repeat setting.

i'm cursing very loudly here, despite app being good idea... i have android 6 phone, after i found that f-droid only had 1.*, i installed 2.* (and losing all the playlists), only to find that playlist export is still not there... basically lag-crash-bug-curse-restart when i'm trying to compile my 90s favorite playlist... i have to input search term each time, then play the song, then find it inside all tracks, then add that to my own playlist... can this be somehow improved so i can really use it

A good app that does an excellent job of taking Youtube videos and playing them while stripping out all the bandwidth usage of the visual components. My only complaint is that at the time of this review, the scroll circle that lets you skip part of the track does not work.

Good app. I use this often. But the sad part is, I can't really sleep without music, so when I'm trying to listen to it overnight, it pauses on the 8th play. And then I have to open it and play it again. Also, the notification for it doesnt work for changing music.

Used to work fine. Had he odd crash or two but otherwise worked as expected. Now, for whatever reason, it says 'cannot play that track, please retry later'. This happens on every one that I've tried. App now seems redundant unless there's a fix.

great app, but last update broke the whole app. after opening it it just show screen for sharing with message "Email CrashLogs" edit: thank you, after clearing the data, it seems to work now. Although I would prefer not to have my history etc. erased. Thanks!

I usually use this app to listen to songs on repeat, and it works great! But lately, the search feature has quit working entirely. Now I'm completely unable to look for new songs to listen to. I hope this'll be fixed soon!

best music stream app EVER streams directly from youtube. it has it issues, but they are easily forgettable. Edit: suddenly stopped working, songs load forever but never play. tried both clearing the cache and re-installing the app. can't even import playlits anymore. EDIT 2 NVM now it works

Simply AMAZING, yet it still needs so many improvements : it has to stop playing music when you unplug the earphone jack, also the interface needs to be enhanced and more responsive plus adding more features to make it more sophisticated for playing music (eg equalizer)

I'm one of the people who were the first to install this app. All this time I can say that this app just takes songs from utube .. so technically there aren't songs as u can even play normal videos in the background. Also it doesn't have cool features that a good music app should have. I give 3 stars because atleast u get the primary requirements from this app. It is normal.

Promising concept. Unusably buggy. To name a few: skipping songs doesn't work. When it does, the old song plays over the new songs art. Many more. Fix bugs. Please. Thanks.

the app is good for music streaming, but very raw, app crashed when artist's channal is loading and user tap on play button AR: shown red screen with error - the getter "isEmpty" was called on null , while song is playing. I hope the dev can fix the issues, soon. UPD: no improvement.

It seems great at first but it starts playing music that has nothing to do with the artist you selected and you can't play cached tracks offline so I see no reason to keep this app.

it seems to have nice features that I like. Unfortunately it won't work. many problems. Freezing, error adding to library, just to name a few

I am sorry , but after the update the app keeps crashing. I deleted it and reinstalled many times without success , same with my brother. I hope you can find a solution, for the moment is a no.

The concept is good. But quite some bugs still in it. Skipping to next track doesn't work for instance. Will try in some time again.

perfect music app, all the bad reviews are probably people that don't know how to use the app which is odd because it's intuitive and amazingly useful.

Cant forward or rewind back to where you were on any given track. highly annoying when listening to audiobooks as you have to start from the beginning

Thanks for the fixes! This app is great ( I use it almost every day) for listening to background music while reading, working or exercising! Love it!.

App looks good but I'm using a huawei mate 20 and the music does not play. When I click it, it loads but get stuck on 0.00. Even fast forwarding does not work. Please help

Stops playing after 2 songs no matter which playlist I chose. I have to skip 2-3 songs to get it to work again, just to skip another 2-3 after 2 more songs play.

Best youtube music player out there, works like a charm, can listen to music with the screen locked, really good for listening to relaxing sounds at bed time

Uses invidio.us which has been shut down for good, and does not let you change it, therefore you can not search for videos, rendering it useless. Please update API

This would be a 5 star, if it can download music dedicatedly, and didnt havr issues where it wont play music and says it is 5000 minutes long! other than that great product!

Excellent app. Switching from Apple Music to this, given that it's free and open source, and performs better too.
