MUTV – Manchester United TV

Pure garbage! Subscribed, paid $30 for the year, was able to watch on FireTv, Roku, and phone. Now only able to watch on phone. I'm logged in, yet it still tells me I need to subscribe! I guess it's great if you like to watch on your phone but otherwise don't bother.

I am a paid subscriber and, in the past few days, I noticed that all streamed contents have no audio. To heart anything, I have to switch to audio only, which is wrong. I have clear cache, uninstall and reinstall the app but the problem persists. What's the solution to this?

The amount of content and overall presentation is great, but the casting function is absolutely terrible and it seems like over the last few months it's become almost unwatchable. Always crashing. I can't even cast an entire press conference to my TV without freezing and crashing after a few minutes. Making it through a whole match? Forget about it. Why isn't the app available on android tv?

Since the relaunch I keep being told I have to subscribe. It then features two payments £7.99 or £29.99 for a year. I pay through Sky £7.99pm why should I pay again? Steve

This app does not work on Android. When I open the app it mentions about updating to the latest version but then redirects me to the apple store

Be warned: this app experiences HORRENDOUS audio sync problems. The audio is often 4 or 5 seconds behind the visual. It makes much of the content unwatchable. Weird, too, that you can't continue watching a show where you left off or make a watchlist or do, well, just about anything you could do on Netflix/Prime/iPlayer ten years ago... Otherwise this is a potentially good value product, especially in pre season and if you're such a big Utd fan that you want to follow the youth teams, too.

Thanks for responding, and more importantly fixing the problem, so quickly. Great service. I see a lot of people complaining about this app but honestly I'm very happy. This app used to work perfectly, but recently it crashes every time I open it. I don't know if it's the recent update but now it just doesn't want to work. Terrible timing too with the pre-season friendlies happening. Not happy, please fix this. My device is a Huawei P30 lite new edition btw

Thanks for the prompt reply. Problem solved. Tried to watch the Derby friendly and can only get a black screen and no sound. Thought maybe my subscription was up but still has 2 months to go. Tried a reinstall but still no luck, and can't even watch the on demand videos. How about a refund or extension to my subscription 🤔

Signed up for the year to get access to friendlies and other on demand content, not knowing that they don't have an Android TV app. Shocking, plus the Cast feature is horrible at best, constantly cutting out, crashing and inferior quality to mobile. Maybe when you've joined us all in 2021 you could release a proper Android TV / Android STB app. Thanks

Avoid. You can't watch the match live which was the point of subscribing and now I've to spend the time trying to cancel the subscription.

Clearly the servers used for this app could not handle lots of traffic to watch the youth cup final, dissapointed

Virtually unusable, constant problems streaming. Not my system, BT Sport works faultlessly.

I bought the Annual pass via the Play Store with a new account. I was already a subscriber via the website but cancelled that one. It now seems you cannot use the web based version with a subscription bought via the app so you lose that side of things completely. I also really like to use the web based version but it seems that you have to have both subscriptions to make use of the app and the desktop. Another dissapointment from Manchester United as I am not paying for it twice!

Update I have again. I had on Thursday already. No response I subscribed on my xbox. Was asked to create a mutv account and type in the activation code on my TV. Did that on my browser. Got an unexpected error when I did it. the activation code then disappeared from my TV and the subscription stopped working. Microsoft says its active. Not sure what to do. I emailed the mutv support address. Didn't get any response. Doesn't work on any device but on my Microsoft account its shown as active.

I have subscribed for annual plan yesterday, but today the app says 'subscribe to watch' as if im not yet subscribed. I have contacted the support team and still don't have any solution. Waste of my 12 months subscription.

I paid for 1 year subscription a few days ago and now the app shows that I am not subscribed and it wants me subscribe again... This is an epic fail.

Another update 3rd Jan 2022 failed to stop the constant buffering when watching MUTV to my chromecast. Not good enough for paid for subscription

I bought the subscription just for the Derby pre-season game. They charged me twice: once initially via web browser and once I realised the stream wasn't working there and I had to install the app, they didn't store my subscription info and still asked me to pay. The stream still wasn't working. Nor would it play from my laptop. Guess what, I tried contacting their support via the email in the app and it bounced because apparently the address doesn't exist. What a joke.

This app is an absolute joke!!! At first the picture and audio weren't in sync. Now the live matches are just blank and does not want to work. Disappointing to see such a huge football club can't even provide a decent service to its fans. Complete waste of money, will not be using this app ever again!

Absolutely dreadful app. Waste of time and my money This keeps happening and it's not my phone Once again I am having trouble with this app. My advice to anyone is don't bother. A 1* review is generous

I registered for MUTV, 1 month subscription on 18 July 2021 to watch the pre season games. However, the app doesn't seem to be working. It says I've to subscribe to watch the games. And when I open the subscription page, it says my subscription is renewed. All I can view is the MUTV - Subscribe Now video on the home page.

The full 90 replay has oy 240p video quality. Unreal. Everytime a match is finished and I miss the live game i want to watch full 90 replay but the video they provide has only 240p option, can you believe that?? In 2022 were having such a terrible app

If this app's purpose was to be continuously buffering video's this would get 5 stars. But unfortunately, I paid to watch MUTV, not the buffering, so this is useless. Don't blame my phone, internet, version of android etc. I don't have issues casting youtube, netflix, prime & chrome videos so its your app not me.5 minutes into the brentford game and its stopped 3 times, forcing me to reload the app.Just missed the first goal on the 4th freeze. Wrote to support, never got a response. A bit disappointed about that. I couldn't find any page to enter a discount code, so I lost a 50% discount when I signed up. Add to that: I thought I was going to get to watch Man U live every time they played, but that's not the case. Radio commentary does have a place in the world though.. This is a great app for huge club fans. The content produced and published for and on this particular platform is above average.
