Muzei Live Wallpaper

Amazing app, the fact that you can add "extensions" made by users is an amazing idea. There is one problem however, the images are not centered, which is quite annoying when the picture is symmetrical. I'll rate this app 5 stars when this small bug will be fixed. Still a great app! (~My phone is a Honor8X). Edit: Seems the glitch comes from the extension I'm using! I changed the rating accordingly.

Honestly I love this app. The blurred background is awesome And the ability to only put it into view when wanted makes it a less noisy screen to look at. I adore it with the new Android 12 auto color match for the icons, but I wish I could set the time for the wallpaper to change. Like once a day or once every 12 hours or something. They change way too fast. Easily 5 stars If I could control the timing!!

We should have the option to scroll the background image. I only have one panel in my homescreen which causes some of the artwork to look a bit awkward. Being able to select which section of the wallpaper is the middle would be a cool feature. Other than that's this app is perfect for the latest Android since the system colours are automatically changed to match the background which makes my phone always feel fresh

The app is great, but i have one issue that's really annoying. My setup is using a single home screen, a landscape image (using Reddit extension), and the phone is in portrait mode. Instead of displaying the center of the image, Muzei acts like I have two home screens and shows me the left side instead of the middle. I'm not quite sure how to fix this, but it's super annoying and I just want it to be centered. EDIT: Devs responded, I switched back to Nova Launcher and everything works fine now.

What happened to the option to frequency that pictures would change? I've had this app for years. I'm not loving how it's changed in the past year, where the screen to add/change/select and delete are split In two but it's cool. The features I need still exist. My main issue is the fact that I can't change when the paper will change? I use to be able to tell It every 30 minutes, every hour, every day or so on. Dev reply fixed this! I'm just dumb

Tis nice. The only complaint I have is I wish it had a way to set the pics for a single screen and center focuses. I only use one screen on the phone so images tend to get streched out too wide or tall to show pages that don't get used so you can't actually see the pic. Other than that it's nice to have changing pics and see new stuff in the background.

This app is phenomenal & I'd recommend it to anyone, esp if you appreciate getting to see a new, beautiful wallpaper image every few hours or days. It far surpasses most other apps! My one bit of feedback for the devs is to please consider consolidating the settings. They're scattered all over the place - some within a 3 dot menu, some a gear icon, some a stand alone custom icon (like Auto Advance settings), sometimes at the top left corner, bottom right, top right, etc. Hope this helps!

Can't change image on S8. Reply to dev - I was trying to select images off own device. It seems this is no longer possible. Edit: I was interested in the widget feature. It seems that you first have to set the wallpaper in order to change the source for the widget. But then you can remove the wallpaper after. There isn't much control over which images are shown when.

Love having this app on my phone. Probably the best app decision I have ever made. I would like for the paintings to scroll from one side to the other as I scroll through the home screens on my phone, and at one point I had to uninstall and reinstall. But really I am still completely satisfied with this app. You get a very wide rang of art and artists from all over history. I wouldn't mind seeing some sculpture added, but you don't miss it.

Before getting my Note 20 I would have rated the app 5 stars, but the function of double tapping the screen to see the background picture no longer seems to work. I still like the background cycling through my own pictures but the inability to see them clearly is disappointing. Edit: The three finger tap works perfect! Thank you for the response and happily changed review to 5 stars. Love it!

Best wallpaper app ever. Fresh art everyday for free. You can add other sources if you're not digging the featured art they provide. This was a day one app for me when I first got my phone and I've been nothing but happy with it. At one point I have an issue with the art not refreshing but I sent an email to the developer and received a fix in less than 10 minutes. Love everything about this app!

The overall app is really amazing. 4 stars ibly because the double tap for next artwork doesn't work and I have to edit and specifically pic the inages that I want because it zoom or pan the pictures a too much. I already tried to use the double tap feature for changing on to the next wallpaper but it didn't work so now I'm using the triple finger tap to change to the next wallpaper. I also downloaded it in my other phones. It also didn't work. May you please fix this. Thank you!

I love this app. I've used it for years. Sadly, after the last major update, I lost access to Multi Muze, which would let you use different Muzei extensions at the same time. It'd be great if that function was implemented. I loved seeing my own pictures, but then having the art of the day, then having Muzei Music kick in with my tunes.

This gem of an app is severely underappreciated. The most important feature is blurred homescreen wallpaper with double tap to clear the blur. Not to mention the blur intensity and dimming intensity can be controlled. From a UI/UX point, the readability is enhanced 10 times with the blur + dim on any wallpaper!!! Finally, you can use it in combination with wallpaperscraft etc to get a new image periodically!!

EDIT2: Ah, I see. It's fine then. Not that big of a deal of course. Still a great app regardless. :) --- EDIT: I'm sorry, I should've been clearer. I used a mostly red image as my wallpaper, and it changed the tint to red which I think looks bad. Is there any way to at least change the hint color to be black? --- A great live wallpaper app. Any chance to add an option to change lockscreen and notification shade tint like LWP+? The default OS setting looks bad with my wallpaper.

I was between a 3 or 4 star rating, I noticed that I have to keep reactivating it after a certain time but even with allowed permissions it still stops. All I have to do to fix it though is just open the app back up activate it. I also wished the compression was more consistent but nothing that bothers me. I enjoy the ability to change the wallpaper when I tap the screen with three fingers on the homescreen, I needed an app without all the ads, THIS IS THE APP, finally.

Really amazing app. Only issue is that at some point in time a bug popped up which is when I close the app after aligning the wallpaper in any way or resizing it then it proceeds to reset to a position with the edge of the image in line with the left of the screen. It also resets in the app but it is in the right position for a second and then slides out of place over the time of about 0.5-1 seconds after the app is no longer focused (closed or another app is opened).

Great! No options for ordering though. Lock screen doesn't work on Xiaomi phones. Working great with the Google photos source, but that doesn't support "favourite" photos which would be nice. Options for downloading over WiFi only, and changing how often it cycles is available. Really easy to use and works with loads of sources, not just meuseum photos!

As others have said, the app is fantastic, but somewhat flakey. In my case, the wallpaper will stop updating on occasion, leaving me looking at the same image for days. Usually opening the app itself will restore normal operation. I have never used third party sources or photos - I prefer the rotating artwork.

This app is great, but the artwork portion has stopped for me. When I reinstalled it went back to starry night with no option to move to the next. While the earth view was working just fine. I reinstalled a few more times but the artwork source is still at the default - Starry night, and cannot move on to the next.

I've loved this app for years. Really well done! Wanted to call to your attention a defect present on Samsung Galaxy S21, stock firmware G998U1UEU3AUDD, Android 11, One UI 3.1. Out of the box this device comes with a built in dynamic wallpaper service for the lock screen. Muzei installs and applies its wallpaper to the home/lock screens and displays "blurry" as expected. However, instead of focusing the image, a double-tap on the home screen blanks the phone and locks it. Difficult to tell what's going on. Hope this can be resolved.

4 Stars for expandability through plugins. Makes this super useful an helpful. -1 star for not having options to fit horizontal or vertical. As developer says, Muzei always fills the entire display with picture content, meaning picture are centered and cropped if they differ in their aspect ratio from your display. Would be nice to have the option to fit vertical, fit horizontal, or fill (current default) like in other wallpaper apps.

EDIT: incredibly fast development response. Unfortunately I have the same blur and dimness on both lockscreen and desktop. I notice the umblur/undim bug when going from an app directly to desktop, if this helps you. The live wallpaper has some really weird behaviours, like dimming and blurring constantly adjusting from app default to what I chose in the settings. Also doesn't properly center the art piece on some phones.

Currently, i can only select 1 artwork, i had the impression there was plenty of artwork to use. I clicked around for options but find it hard to get more wallpapers. Is there a button that im missing? Im using muzei as widgets, but it wont let me choose a different artwork w/out setting it as a home or lock screen first. EDIT: Thanks, Ive sent an email with questions, Ill rate it again after the reply. Also, it would be awesome if the widgets are less blurry, I use it artistically atm.

Works great for automatically changing wallpaper between images. However, on Oxygen OS 11 it seems to have this weird issue where the image stays "zoomed in" once you open the status bar. This doesn't happen with other live wallpapers, so hopefully this can get fixed soon (would be 5 stars without this issue).

Been using the app for I guess more than 6 years, installing on every new device, the blurred wallpaper with double tap to unblur has been the reason for me to stay on the app. Beautiful paintings as wallpaper is obviously another. Customisation is there to add own photos and from other sources/apps. Pretty well made app. Kudos to the developers.

I consider this app one of the best parts of having an android phone. It brings memories unobtrusively to your home screen with only a double tap required to experience them. When I'm busy they sit there unnoticed for weeks, but when I have a moment I often times find myself exploring them and reminiscing.
