MX Tides

This is my go to app for tides, but the newer versions don't work as well as the 2.1 release. I just tried the 4.0 vc10 version and you can't scroll the tide chart sideways to see the upcoming 36 hours like in the old version. Being able to do this is so useful for quickly looking at the next days predictions at a glance. Thankfully I kept the 2.1 apk installer so I'll be uninstalling this one and going back.

Improvement with Jan , 2020 update. Interface is still limited (can only choose a different day by using the calendar screen can only view one day at a time) It would be nice to be able to swipe forward or backward, and it would be nice to be able to see more than 24 hrs at a time. I see that most of these issues are already listed on github, so I'll update this review when they get pushed.

Very nice app. Works offline, and provides accurate tide and current information. The graphics are informative, yet simple. The relative positions to a given tide it current station are a nice touch!

This was a useful app but it has lost the ability to search for a tide station. This makes it useless for planning.

Update has made program useless. Please, Bring back the map and timeline.

Only USA tides? Please change name to MX USA Tides. Original XTIDES gives tides for the world. Not much use for us in Canada.

Is there a Canada version of this?

This has been my favorite tide app for several years. But the latest update ruined it. It had a map view, from which I could choose a tide or current station to view, without knowing in advance the name of that station. And the results showed several days of data. The latest update now shows only nearby stations and about 18 hours of data. They have destroyed the value as a planning tool when traveling by boat.

I like the listing of ten reporting stations but regret it fails to show Canadian waters.

App was functional but awkward and outdated looking. 2.0 keeps same function but improves looks greatly. It would be nice to slide the chart left and right; forward and back in time. Also, make the current time marker a bit more prominent. 🐟

I just downloaded MX and so far it looks like one of the better tide apps I've found. I am a diver, what would be helpful, especially for Pacific Coast divers, would be basic information about the current and swell. Aside from that it seems easy to use, I'm looking forward to playing with it.

Xtide functionality with very easy to use and beautiful interface. And no ads.

Doesn't show UK tides any more.

S. F. Bay. Gets tide stations right but for currents it starts with Coos Bay! I tried clearing data, Uninstalled and reinstalled, No joy.

Update - having had the situation explained to me why my station is not there and find it's down to the money grabbing UK I would say it's good only for US users. Where is Guernsey and why no current data. It looks as though it should be good

Great app mostly. Needs a way to add favorites or more basic information so you don't have to search for your station every time you open it. User needs to pick n choose stations in areas they're not familiar with. Otherwise thanks!

Uninstalling, im very disappointed. Not cool.

i use this and love it. no go on android x86 though, wish it could. library problem? kicks right back to home screen. thanks.

A promising app that sadly lacks access to much UK data.
