It was fine before but now it's loading indefinitely. Can't make payments. Crashed after adding fuel pass

May 1, 2022: it stopped working again (and I saw other people having the same exact problem today). I rely & depend on this app to move around with my cards. What a let down! July 8, 2021: Stopped working. Thanks for that alpha bank, I thought I could depend on you

You just tap it and pay. The previous version required a password which was much safer. It should ask for confirmation for example via finger authentication (if someone steals your phone he can do a lot of transactions in a very short time). A transaction that has been made couldn't be found on the History list minutes after it has been completed. Those issues should be fixed asap

EDIT: Seems to work now, after I sent an email as I was asked. No one has contacted me but it works. --------- Stopped working on the 8th of July. I was sent an SMS to download 3.2.2 for the fix. 3.2.2 does not work either. I tried deleting app cache / data, uninstalling and re-installing the app but to no avail. Please fix this.

After the latest update 25/4/2022 thr application crashes every time I try to make a payment.

After the latest update (version 3.0.0) the application just hangs on the loading screen indefinitely. Previous versions always worked flawlessly on my device (Samsung Galaxy S9+). Until this is fixed, I can't pay for anything with my phone anymore. I'll update my review if and when they make the app functional again.

After I update my phone to Android 10, the app keep crashing I granted all the permission and clear the cache but nothing changed. Before the update the application was working flawlessly. Please make it compatible to Android 10. Pixel 2XL on Android 10 Update. After various attempts to make the app works again, a complete uninstall and reinstall (unlinking the phone from the app and re-enable it), did the job. The app works again properly. Hope this info save somebody else's time...

The app works as it should on the last update. Edit: I have noticed sometimes when I open the app in order to pay, the app is loading and it takes about 20 seconds to load my card. If I remember correctly it has a little logo spinning. Why do I have to wait? Edit: Thank you, I will try that and report back. Edit: It works. Thanks. There are some times that the transaction fails, bit I hope it gets better.

App used to work great. Since Apr8 it won't proceeds with the payment asking me to ulnock to phone. But the phone is already unlocked. (OnePlus 5T, OxygenOS 10.0.1)

Just awful!!! Why did you scrap the last one. The app before worked great! Why the phone lock? When I go to payment to the POS machine it automatically takes me to Google pay for some reason and then it freezes! Totally worthless! For two years I used it before and started to leave my wallet home! Now cash is king! Awful app! Just go back to the old one Alpha bank or a lot of people will switch to cash again!

An update to the app most probably fixed it. It now seems to work . 15 out of 15 transactions worked without issue . However you need to give the phone some time on the pos in order for it to work . It doesn't work instantly like a card . I would like it if there was some additional security option . Having an unlocked phone is not secure enough for me . At least it now works as supposed to .

security is not an option. The app does not ask for verification for payments. My last payment was 51euros and the phone was locked. That is outrageous. reply: I have made a payment with a locked phone. I don't know if your intent was that it shouldn't work, but it works. Unfortunately! I was an early adopter of this app, but it looks like I will have to drop it. Because you seem not to understand it: Payments do work while the phone is locked.

Terrible battery drain without even using the app and having specifically put it to sleep. UI couldn't be less intuitive.. the central button "tap to pay " deactivates the card instead of proceeding with the payment. Not to mention the fact that this should be a part of the main mobile banking app and not a separate one.

The App needs improvements to become more reliable. More than 50% of attempts to pay with it fail, much worse than the previous app. Often I need to restart my phone for the App to work. Please check these issues as we must be able to rely on the App and not need to take cards with us when shopping.

I hate the fact that the security of the app in the new version 3.0.1 is based on having a lock mechanism for the phone itself. I never lock my phone and I expect apps that handle secure data to have a locking mechanism. The user should be able to select phone based security or app based security. The previous version was PERFECT. If you want to offer new functionality don't remove what users liked so far. If you correct this, please inform me and I will change my rating.

Since the last android update on Mar 1st, it drains 25% of the battery per cycle. Even if you put the app into sleep, again it drains the battery as long as the phone works. Please consider applying a fix asap. [Update:] Even though the issue was late fixed, after Android update on June 5th it occurs again. It is so frustrating to require such a fix after each Android update.

It works flawlessly and it is read amazingly fast by every POS. I give it 4 stars because you don't have the option to set a quick PIN to login. You can indeed set a PIN for Tap n Pay and use a Tap n Pay widget for convenience but that is only for the action of payment and it doesn't show you the available money in your card. To see the available money in your card you have to login in the main app (alpha wallet) using your full username and password.

Not sure if you understood my comment.. I had this happening twice in one day. It makes no sense to put the phone on the POS, ask for password, put it again on the POS. You can just add an option to unlock the app using fingerprint or whatever else.

Used to be a great, simple, no hassle payment app. Then some genius consultant decided to "improve" it. The result? Fewer functions (just one, in fact), lower security, login dependent on Alpha's e-banking (whose two-step authentication is problematic for users with non-greek phone numbers, something the bank is fully aware of) and, to top it all, THE ONE THING IT'S (STILL) SUPPOSED TO DO DOESN'T WORK ABROAD (1/8 transactions. No point in trying, uninstalled)

The updated version 3.0.1 is not reliable in my OnePlus 6 A6000, Android 10. It has worked 5/10 times. I cannot understand what it needs to work properly. It seems that a phone restart make the app to work but this is not reasonable. The previous version worked flawlessly all the time. Disappointed!

It doesn't work , after entering all details and I recieved the Sms , it gives T&C , I accept and it keeps loading, then it displays a notification that the action can't be performed and I need to contact the support ( I'm successfully logged in to the other Alpha bank apps ) ........ It's fixed and it's working, thanks that's a 5 star 🌟 app , support and service . Ευχαριστώ

Tap and pay option via NFC is very useful and works fine. The biggest downside is that it drain a lot of battery even if the application is put to sleep. Please consider an update to optimize the background battery and ram usage. ***UPDATE*** A temporary solution for the high battery consumption is to immediately force the app to stop every time after using it. You can do so from the device settings in the APPS section. ******UPDATE****** After the last update everything works fine.

Lately, a new feature was added. Option to use addon credit cards for persons that they own one. In fact you can add such credit card as default but you can't activate it for tap n pay. ---update: thanks for resolving it!

In the latest update I can't use the app. It says "we couldn't find eligible card for contactless transaction" before the update I was using it perfectly. Take a look please is it a bug or something changed with the cards.

A lot of bloat was let go with this new redesign. This is everything that I need, I don't understand the problems of other users. For me it plays flawlessly so far. The app looks fresh and modern and the functionality is as it should be. For me it's 5 star, easily.

Huge battery drain without even using the app. Two months and it's still not fixed... Edit: Reinstalled after the new update. Seemed like it was fixed at first, but nope... Drained 20% battery in 15 hours, without using the app at all.

Known service outage on the bank's side goes on without any notification to the users. If I have to carry also my card, I don't need the app. Lost confidence to it. Update: Developer reacted fast with notification of the updated app availability but still I wish they were that fast to inform us when they discovered the issue and not let us waving our phones in vain in the cashier line hoping to make a payment.
