It's terrible, it stopped working 3 weeks ago I've called customer service 3 times uninstalled,reinstalled,Unloaded it logged out reloaded in removed permissions put permissions back on etc. Everything they said to do,and then I have to take a drive to see if it works. I'm retired for a reason I shouldn't have to work to get it to work!!
It was nice until that last update. Now the app recognizes nothing and has transformed my stored username into a string of random letters numbers and dingbats. I will visit the office instead. New update. The stupid app still doesn't recognize my email address or my user name. Somebody in IT needs to find a different career. Two years later I still find this app totally useless. It is nearly impossible to update information on it.
Tried to use the app to make a claim. Kept getting service temporarily unavailable. Tried again later. Was able to get one started but then it wouldn't let me upload photos. Tried a few times but no luck. Unintalled, cleared cache, all the tricks but nope. Also, just call the app amfam. The marketing guru that came up with "my amfam" did not realize that a person looking for the app will look in the A section not the M section.
Horrible app. Payments never processed on time and no notifications are ever sent about a missing payment due to processing failures. Get your app together. EDIT: It seems they have listened; app functionality is much better, and you can pay on the day you wish to process it!
Good app but seems like every time it updates it loses the notification settings and I have to go in and change settings. It will be fine for a month or two then no more notifications and I have to manually reset. Galaxy S21
The app used to be good but it's not working properly now and is much slower than it used to be. Currently if you have more than one vehicle it will pick one insurance card and show it for every vehicle. Not very helpful if you are not in that vehicle when you have to show proof of insurance.
I downloaded this app intending to use it for paying my bills and that's the feature that doesn't work. I've reached out through the app and email without any reply as of yet. I'm just disappointed.
I'm more than pleased I found American family saved bucks in both the car and renters ins. Also they treat you as your family. The welcome packet was full of good information I could use . I've already shared the good news in saving Lotta dollars with my friends and family . I'm certain they like saving money as well. Thank you mystique for everything!!
Account created but can't add policy, what a junk app. Stop wasting everyone's time and build a proper app.
I can't download my app for the 20% discount driver on my new phone. When I got my new phone, it didn't transfer. I kept the same #! I've tried 5 different times to download it and it won't continuously run like it did before.
Rarely can open the documents or ID cards. Usually get an error. Love when it has red NEW document ready but get an error and can't read it!! Have to reach out to agency as usual
The app is quick and easy to use! I love that it breaks down payment totals or by 6 months ( and per vehicle/policy) for you depending on how you pay. I do wish it would give you a 6 month total for all the policies, but now I'm just nit picking.
App easy to use. NEVER Had any payment issues. My information is kept private. Now only if I magically got coffee every time I logged in
Good service had a problem getting a tow truck and had to have the police call for one but they did reimburse me the full cost very promptly!
This app is one of the most simplest, easiest ways to pay a bill online! Once the app opens up, I can have my balance paid within 10 seconds, literally! If I put in a different amount, I'm done and gone in 15 seconds or I can look over my entire statement and be finished in a minute. Straight forward AND NO ADS! I wish every app was like this one. Paying bills online would be a lot quicker, it'd still be painful to watch your money disappear, but a whole lot quicker. :)
I will be deleting this app altogether. It takes up way too much of my storage and I would have to delete other apps I use regularly to make room for the update. Very disappointed
Very easy to read not confusing.
The app is convenient... when it works. However, most of the time, or maybe every time it updates, I have to uninstall, then reinstall, because it asks for login credentials, then just sits there saying, "loading preferences" for an undetermined amount of time. It never actually completes login, so I have to use the website anyway. Needless to say, that is quite the opposite of convenient. Why have the app when you can do the same thing on the website, which I have to do 90% of the time.
The app works great, my agent is great but the coverages once in a collision weren't what was expected. Almost as if some of the staff behind the phone were working to make an already bad situation worse. I guess in the event there is any possible grey areas in your policy, ask questions or you may end up learning the hardway. I thought my situation was straight forward but I was wrong. My agent helped the best he could to get the company to bend a little but not much. I appreciated his work!
This app is very user friendly and easy to navigate. One of the best I've been on. Everything you need is at your fingertips.
Good app but sometimes it takes you back without notice and don't allow you to go back again.
App. Doesn't work at all ...cant log in...just sits and flashes.
Deductibles not listed in coverages. Would be helpful. I have hail damage to siding.
Everytime open it says need to update but is no update available very annoying
I just wanted to say to the ones frustrated with the update that pops up.... For all I know, you go ahead with the "update now" and yes, it only takes you to the Google app store lookup (I don't know what to call it). Go with the open her up and voila! If it actually is something wrong with the app, obviously you can just not use it, or make a little phone call. I just roll with it because it's only a few seconds more to get in. Not judging at all. Totally trying to help!!!
This app doesn't really help people with renters insurance. It doesn't display coverages correctly and certainly doesn't explain the ability to pull your existing policy.
Pretty app, poor functioning. While it LOOKS good and is easy to use, the ease of use stops the moment you try to click on something. Anticipate sitting with a "loading" screen until the app crashes or your phone battery dies, because it's honestly not going to allow you to do anything. It happens in multiple phases of the app, but my current battle is with uploading photos in claims. I'm just going to allow our repair shop to take care of it because It's not worth half the battle with the app.
