My Backup Pro

I purchased the lifetime license several years ago. It didn't work perfect but I was able to backup some of my stuff. I just tried using it again for an emergency transfer. 7 hours later, still not working. Uninstalled, reinstalled still "failed to initialize backup" -- emailed them and have received NO response. This app has become trash. You've been warned.

Used the Pro version for years but doesn't work anymore with Android 11. Lots of error messages and access/permission issues in the logs. No updates of the app since more than a year. That tells you a lot. Reading through the other reviews. Not a single reply by the developers. Seems to be abandoned. Need to look for an app that really works and that is maintained.

I have used this backup app for several years despite being frustrated with its very slow performance and how difficult it is to read the screen of black text on a dark gray background (I've contacted the developers but received only a lukewarm response). But when the latest version couldn't even finish backing up Nine email - a popular app - after waiting an hour, I realized that it was time to find a replacement. I have uninstalled this nonfunctional app and switched to Swift Backup.

Used this app for years without issue. Now, within the last few weeks, cloud backups both to Dropbox and Google Drive no longer work. Even worse, this app does NOT indicate it has failed. In fact, despite checking "Show success notification", even successful backup(e.g. local) notifications fail to appear.

I've used the app for years but backing up to the Cloud is totally non functional. Tried removing and reinstalling the app but that does nothing. The support team has never replied to any of my emails asking when this will be fixed. The only way to get a backup to the cloud is backup to phone storage and manually copy the file to the cloud.

I've owned Backup Pro since 2015. During those years, I have reliable assistance when it comes time to switch smartphones. Never ONCE have the application given me a problem. It keeps your phone awake the whole time, yet it dims the screen (NICE!) and I can choose backing up onto my clouds, my actual computer via USB, or computer via Wi-Fi. It's so easy to use as well. Pick the things most relevant to you. If time has come to buy a new SD card, or NEW phone. Well, voila you're good to go!

Exceptional! There are more migration apps now than there used to be, but this was one of the originals, and it still beats most for flexibility and ease of use. Plus, most of the others still don't handle MMS/SMS messages. One minor issue: device-to-device transfer is still not possible. You have to back up to the cloud, or your local computer from one phone, then restore to the new device from that. Still, other apps take a lot of fiddling about, and this one just works.

This is a great product! I wish the schedules could be edited. For clarification, I mean, if I set a time daily, I'd like it to just be calls and sms and weekly, all items. The saved data takes up a lot of space. Otherwise, it's easy and takes 5 mins to set up 1 time. Easy Peasy. And you can open your backups to say, find a specific text/sms and/or restore the backup. Also, I appreciate how it doesn't rewrite already backed up text/sms messages & there is a transfer to a new phone option! ❤

Terrible app, you have to pay for cloud storage... after already purchasing the app. The app also offers a little bit of free cloud storage if you leave a good review so I imagine that's where most of these reviews come from. When I tried to backup my info to my SD card it failed for a lot of things, and what it did back up didn't actually go to the SD card, but to local phone storage.

Wish I could somehow retrieve my data *sigh* Once upon a time ... this was a very good app. Too bad it didn't take. Once I purchased the paid version it went downhill from there. I paid to add more space, but couldn't add to existing account & had all sorts of fun determining which account I was using, now can't find any files from either account. Paid 10x+ what is now being charged & no updates in over a year. Can't get the data lost, back again .... expen$ive lesson.

This only works to transfer applications, WITHOUT their data. All other functionalities (SMS, MMS, app data, etc.) fail without any helpful error message. It even fails for Note Everything ans MLO, both of which are officially supporting MyBackup. I either get "corrupted ZIP file" (it is NOT corrupted! I can manually open it just fine!), or I get an empty list of successful transer... I'm giving it two stars because allowing me to easily transfer all my apps, keeping their same versions, was very convenient, even without their data. That's a start. For the rest, it is worthless. Waste of time and money. For the record, I was transferring from rooted Samsung Galaxy S4 to non-rooted S10e.

This app was working fine until it told me that I needed to add the Windows version to backup to my computer and then it all went south, it didn't recognize my email, then it wouldn't let me register a new account because it said that my email was invalid, ? I use that email every day... Update: 4-4-20 I needed to reset my phone so I ran the backup and everything was fine until I tried to restore. The app cannot find the backup files, I pointed it to the right folder in options but it cannot find my backups. Waste of money.

Very good app to back up phone data. I could retrieve contact data backed up 6 years ago. There is a need for a search option in the view function. Request the developers to provide that. Excellent app for storage and retrieval of phone data. Highly recommended to those who are searching for an appropriate app to back up phone data on the cloud/computer/ phone for restoration when the need arises.

very useful; more so with older phones, but still so, a great redundancy, and i like that it can kick off to a sim card, cloud or networked system. specifically sim card though. would like more options as to specific choices and selections for scheduling, but the options are good, make no mistake; and there are root options which is probably where i need to go next. a great app

This is a fantastic backup application, I initially gave it only 4 stars as I thought it was only capable of backing up to it's own cloud Service. Unfortunately I was mistaken realising, it is possible to select your own cloud service. There are other features such as being able to backup and restore your Note Everything entries amongst others, highly recommended.

My Backup Pro, has been with me for years from device to device works much better than smartswitch especially since i sàve any and all SMS messages for timestamp bàckups and vàlidàions, up until this backup has there been any issues. i am positive they will fix the problem of it not completing the backup process. Good job, i look forward to an over more in-depth application as 5g rolls out.

beware! i backed up my phone to migrate to s new one. when it came to restore, i followed the instructions to authorize that i had paid for the app, but it didn't recognize my Google transaction id. there was no way to call for support so i sent an email to support. it's been 4 days and nothing. i used Samsung smart switch instead, for free, and had great results. Now, i want the money back and although it was a 30 day free trial, i don't see a refund path.

Works, but absurdly slow, and has one of the most unintuitive GUIs ever. Did someone on the spectrum come up with this? "Choose local backup directory". Every other program on earth has you check a folder you are currently viewing to place your backups. But not reware. Here they are referring to the folder you are in, not selecting. So if you go to confirm the path, you actually end up creating /reware/mybackups/reware/mybackups/ so nothing is together. Come on guys. This is a paid app.

The app is installed but does not show up in my directories. I created a backup on my previous phone on a microsd card then transferred it to the new phone under android ten and it can't see it. It tried to install the windows version to Dave it on the PC and it won't log in generating a network error! In short nothing about this app works. A useless waste of time and money!

Bad. Book ages, kept failing halfway through backing up to the computer, didnt backup all my pictures so i lost 80% of them even though the app said successful backup of all pictures. Didnt save my replies to text messaging, just received messages. Overall not a good experience. Took a week for all the backups to say successful. but it didnt even back everything up.

I was very impressed with this app.I wanted to backup all my RCA M1 android apps and information to my hard wired desktop PC, reset my phone back to factory settings, and then reinstall everything back to my phone. It was scary how fast the app on my phone found the app on my PC, even through my hardware firewall. The backup process went smoothly, as did restoring the apps and information back onto my phone. This was a good exercise to go through with a phone that doesn't matter much before I upgrade the phone.

Once this app is set up and running it's very simple to backup and restore applications and data to either PC computer, my backup cloud, or pan SD card. The pro version costs $7.00 & you'll need to purchase at least 2gb /mo. Subscription for the space on the my backup Cloud to have enough space for aps. If you subscribe to another cloud,that will also work. This ap is] well worth the price.

This is actually a great up. It backups up everything that is important, without needing root access, its actually amazing how comprehensive it is. I also LOVE The MAC and Windows My Backup apps that will find the android pin, and allow one to backup. I have Backed up 3 phones so far with ease, a Pixel 3, Heiwei P20 and a OnePlus 3T, all went flawlessly. I actually backed up the OnePlus 3T, Wiped the Heiwei P20 (After it was backed up with this), and restored the OnePlus 3T Data back to it for my wife, so that she could use the newer phone. It restored Everything, flawlessly, and even the data inside the APPS. I love how it separates the Media, and Data backups, this is brilliant and makes a lot of sense. You can also restore individual files or do a FULL restore, you can choose. One last note, When you restore the data, be sure for a SHORT period of time, to make the MyBackup Pro app, the default SMS/MMS client, this will ensure the data backup restores EVERYTHING, after it's done, you just make the android Text Messaging app, the default again, and you're good to go. You could literally loose your phone with this app, go get a fresh phone and restore EVERYTHING. You would loose nothing. Backups to GDrive no logger work, but don't fret, just schedule your backups locally, and then set up RCLONE to move those backups to the cloud! As well, run a cron job, or a windows scheduled task, to move those backups on a regular bases, you could also do this with Google FileStream. Cloud backups solved! Enjoy! This app has been a life saver! One more note, I have tested backing data to Mac, Windows and the Cloud.

I have information and lots of documents I need to save. Bought this program years ago and it hasn't failed me yet. I literally just went through the list of every program I've ever downloaded In the last 15.yra to find this in my "uninstalled apps". I am sure I will not be dissapointed :)
