It tells me it's unavailable about 20% of the time, and its the same for the quick balance part. I also wish it would notify me when my debit card is used like other bank apps I've had.

I had an account at another institution that started having the ability to remote deposit checks & for the life of me the camera on the very same device could not take a picture that was acceptable but I've never had an issue with this app.

Easy to use, easy to check with the fingerprint login which is convenient. I've had some issues with the app not working on occasion but most of the time it does work.

I am baffled by all the negative reviews. There's obviously an issue somewhere, but I've used this app without issues on Samsung Galaxy S20 and Flip 3 since they came out with it. I'm in Fort Wayne with great coverage. So maybe that's why I don't have issues. Maybe the app needs to be better optimized for low bandwidth connections. Anyway, the app works great and is better than other financial institutions I use.

The app has some serious issues. I can't be on wifi, have blutooth on, or be synced to my car. I can't be on a phone call or have any other app running. It freaks out and just spins. Forever. I've have to uninstall and reinstall twice. Please fix it. 2 stars only because I can pull up my statements on the fly and do immediate transfers.

This app has half at best the functionality and options of main site. Almost every person uses an app and not desktop site daily and on the fly. Here are the problems. Want to transfer to a external account? You can't see that in the app. Is it under transfers as it should be? No it is not under bill pay. Awesome so I go to bill pay and there it is. Wrong again under a little blue link called what else can I do. So that is in the app? No it's on desktop site. Can't add anymore.

I had the Flagstar app and it seemed a lot more user friendly but the Beacon app seems like it has more options for online banking in general

I just updated this app and I must say, I love how it's improved! Options are at the top, rather than the bottom which can be an issue when your phone does not have a physical home button. The design is very sleek and navigation is smooth. I've never really had an issue previously with the app, but I must say whoever designed it went with a design you do not expect from a local, smaller bank! Well done Beacon!!!

Terrible. Not sure if I will be able to log in when needed without issues. Error message for me to call. Wait for awhile then it works. Not very consistent. I don't like how the true available balance runs. It doesn't look like pending charges are included in the available balance. This app is not user friendly compared with the last one. And we had our accounts shut off for this upgrade? One step moving back.. If these corrections don't change soon I will be taking my business elsewhere.

The new update is a step in the wrong direction. Everything is the opposite of user friendly. For example enabling thumbprint is in 2 completely different sections. Theres a massive delay to get to every page and the whole app now looks like it was made poorly. That being said, some of the new features are nice but could have easily been incorporated in the old version

This app works great after you get into your acct. But signing into my acct. most( and I mean 1 out of 20 tries at least to get in and still doesn't. Only tried that once)times it spins and spins and doesn't let you in your acct. Even after shutting out and trying again and again and again. It just spins. And I have to go to the Beacon internet page to access. After I am into my acct I love the ease and convenience of not having to go to the bank. Thus the reason for 1 star. It is frustrating!

You would think after months of this new version being out that they would have fixed the issues but no. It still pops up a box saying your session has timed out, so you must close that before you can continue on. Plus if you accidentally get a digit wrong then it goes into a circle for buffering and will then lock up and not let you do anything. Happens good half the time. About annoying enough to switch banks.

Beacun use to have a great user friendly app. It was a little plain looking, but it worked well and was easy to use. Current app is the reverse looks great, but a pain to use. I have had major issues with the app that has left me locked out not knowing what is wrong. I have to call during business hours to figure it out. When it does work it is really hard to use and has redundancy on dumb stuff like if you want a transfer to be immediate or not. Please fix this app to be user friendly.

Unable to paste username or password into the login page directly, I have to open up my phones clipboard and select what I want to paste from there. This also prevents my password manager app from being able to enter the info. As for the updated look, as others have said, it was definitely a downgrade, though the capabilities of the app has expanded significantly. The transaction display isn't formatted correctly, so the date and description are overlapping.

Good app. Only issue for me is 2-day (minimum) hold on deposited checks. Would he understandable for a first-time account or check, but even with a payroll or regularly deposited source, the hold remains. Overall, it works as it should. Seems secure. Lastly, there's a neat feature of insta-balance on the main page...super convenient when in the car or when busy to get a quick reminder of account balance.

They have GOT to stop updating this app. Every time they do it gets worse. I've been with Beacon about 4 years and I have never been so annoyed with an app. It has the fingerprint feature to help you with "easy" log in but every time I try to use it, it kicks me out or asks me to use my fingerprint multiple times. I just want to look at my bank account, and it's such a massive process to do just that anymore. If they would stop updating it we wouldn't have this problem.

Every time I log in to the app it tells me that fingerprint login has been disabled because my fingerprint data has changed (it hasn't) and I need to re-enable fingerprint login. EVERY TIME! The other features seem to all work fine, but I dread having to type my whole password in, so I avoid using the app unless it's absolutely necessary.

It displays my information at first then after I select an account to make a transfer to or from the screen usually goes blank, and I can't complete the transfer. I've had to try 3-4 times to make a transfer with this new "upgraded" version on multiple occasions, not just once or twice.

Little bit of a learning curve from the former app but it is working well so far and is a stable app. 4 stars. Lowering app review to 3 stars. Seems to have a problem with initial log-on, with old Galaxy 8+ and my newer Galaxy 20 FE 5G. Simply get the perpetual spinning circle that shows progress but never lets you log on. Edit 1/5/22: app working better. They must have tweaked it. Back up to four stars.

Occasionally wouldn't login in but when logged in app runs just fine

It doesn't work half the time. Might as well put hours on the app that match your service center hours. God forbid someone be made available to allow me to use my card on the weekend, or for the app actually work and give me the option to take care of it myself and confirm it's me using my card. Get that fixed then yes this app is very convenient.

Absolutely worst app ever! worse than before. Sometimes takes 2 times to sign in or never get signed in..this has been going on since the change and they won't fix it......update 1/17/22 just when I didn't think this app could get any worse. Well Beacon has proved me wrong. This app went from bad to horrible. It almost never opens. I gotten rid of app and reinstalled it hell I even got a new phone. I try and restart my phone and the app is just plain horrible and never opens. Less than 0 rated

Although as with any online app, there's times I can't log in the first try, the benefits of having my account virtually in the palm of my hands is wonderful. I lost my network connection due to technical issues, was unable to log in after factory reset because of 2 step verification. All I had to do was call customer service and they verified who I was with security questions and helped me to access my account. I appreciate this app and Beacon Credit Union for keeping me on top of my finances

Congratulations! You've decided to update your website to 2020 and you somehow managed to give it 2001 graphics. Let me give you some pointers. No pictures in the background. Order Checks? Next to the Checking account? I haven't wrote a check in 15 years. When I click on my Accounts tab then take me to my accounts. Conformation text on a finger scan or transfer? Really! Of course I want to transfer immediately. If not, I'll choose another option. The list goes on, but I only get 500 characters.
