My BGG - BoardGames Information

Got a new phone and had to download this POS. All worthwhile functionality has been stripped, and what remains doesn't work. According to this new version, my collection of 151 games somehow includes 0 games for 5 players. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

Is there a login issue again? I just downloaded and can't login to BGG. Double-checked my username and password and I have it correct. Update 1/27/22: New version fixed the issue, thanks! Is H-Index calculated somewhere in the app or can it be added?

Edit: I have since gotten all of the issues fixed and love the app. I love that I can actually make changes to my collection and wishlist without having to go the website. App has a lot of potential and could be great. Though whenever I try to log a play it gives me an error and whenever I update my collection/wishlist it doesn't save any of the changes once the app is closed.

The app works pretty well. I can access the bgg database, read the forums and manage my lists. The app doesn't work well with bad internet and needs to be restarted when entering "good" internet to work with your personal lists but that doesn't bother me. 2 things. I would like to see: - include the search button in the upper right on every page. Searching is what I mostly do with the app so I would love to see a fast access for that. - make the app be able to parse bgg links.

My old phone died and I had to install the new app. It's crashed on me 6 times in 10 minutes. I'm unable to log my two games I just played because there is no way to remove the keyboard once in a dialogue box. If you hit back it erases all your typed in info. This app isn't even functional. The old app was ugly, but at least it functioned. Also, super annoying video ads interspersed between navigating? I've never rated any app before because I just don't care, but this one is terrible...oh bgg..

--11/1/21-- Login issue has been resolved with new update. Am able to manage my collection and my plays again. Thank you! - -10/30/21-- I continually receive an invalid login error. I've tried to clear app cache/data, uninstall/reinstall, and password reset on BGG and I still receive the error. I've cleared all saved passwords and still no luck. This has been ongoing for the last three days. No word from support who were contacted three days ago.

Achieves its purpose, and is used often, but is way clunkier than the old app. Several glitches that don't let you save a play, remove names, etc. You can't choose which tier of the wishlist to put a game in, nor sort by wishlist priority. Inputting data is just generally worse; drop downs get in the way, team/color doesn't save options for each game, no rematch feature. Skill analysis is broken, equally in meaning and display of data. Basically, any synchronizing BGG app > this > no app at all.

Finally the updated rolled out in the play store. Great job thank you, login works again now. One minor remark: When adding a new game in my library can't select a more specific/localized version of the game.

Hate IT!!! 1 Hate the pictures of the games as my list, I'm a visual person but this it too much and distracting. 2 My toal list is not being shown.. I have lets say 468 games, okay, but tells me its showing 422 of 468... Hello where did the other games go? 3 Plays will not save, eventough its says saved. Also recurring players and places don't show up automatic as choices like before. What a shame, was trying to get a handle on plays and collection. Now its seems a waste and I've missed plays.

Still so many to fix and add. No Files feature in the boardgame menu. I have to open in browser to go to Files section and even clicking the rulebook can not download the files. Then the search game feature is less intuitive having to always go back to search new titles. They should add search bar or button at the top of sesrch result so we can directly input new text to search.

Kinda clunky and not very good for managing my collection and plays. And filtering in the collection doesn't work very well. E.g. I tried to filter my games by number of players, and I wanted to play with 6. I know that I have a few games that can accommodate 6, but only one showed up, because it requires exact matches in the min or max field. Codenames doesn't show up because it's 2-8, so if you don't have a 2 in the min field or an 8 in the max field, it won't show up.

Edited: Update works! Thank you. Login issue persists. I've used the app for years and suddenly cannot log in.

Usually love but lately when I add a game into my collection it doesn't show and when I go to the game it says it has to sync but it's been a week

The old app had less bugs and was easier to use IMO. This one is more appealing but now its been two times where I cant login anymore and ive tried everything (uninstall, reset password, ect) fix that bug real quick please its annoying and when I got through the comment I saw that I wasnt the only one.

Really great app and easy to use. The only minor issue is there seems to be a bug scrolling down a forum post. Certain responses disappear and reappear while scrolling and sometimes can't scroll down. I do have an oldish phone so maybe it's that.

I am going to update this to 4 stars. I still have issues. There is no way to input a coop win or loss. Also, the pie chart shown for a game only shows 10 games, not all played. I cannot see an all-time overall win percentage.

This app is awful! obnoxious full screen ads interrupt tasks (play checkin, etc), difficult to use game collection interface, broken enter play task flow (won't save, other player names won't show in interface), tiny fonts. Old app was clunky and ugly but at least its functionality could be figured out.

Best app for boardgames but DELETES EVERYTHING ALL THE TIME... I took a long time adding alot of our games, rating them etc... Logged into my account as well..I reloaded the app to add more and EVERY GAME IS DELETED! This has happened every single time I've added them back... Fix this issue! I'm sooooo glad I didn't get sucked into buying it! I'm gonna buy the much more reliable other app instead! You just lost a follower!

This is a fantastic app with great features for board game players. Unfortunately, the frequency and absolute obnoxiousness of the ads make it an app i "tolerate" until i find a better one. You shouldn't make your ads so annoying and frequent that you hope the user just gets desperate and pays. It makes the ads not work (I will never support those businesses) and fans resent you.

Not very happy with this version of the app you used to be able to set different views helping me segregate my collection but that feature Seams to have been removed which is a pain and it also Seams to duplicate some games which the older version didn't do. Plus the onslaught of ads now is really annoying

Nice layout but way too many intrusive adverts. Very disappointing. Sadly, the old app was much better. I'd rather go on my web browser and log in to BGG than use this app, which defeats the point of having an app to begin with.

Great app that makes bgg more modern. and way esier for browsing. i give it 4 stars only because the search is not optimized with my keyboard (while the keyboard is visible can't press the search button. when you move the keyboard the written text gets deleted)

Cool idea. Easy layout. But I can't add plays or games. So far I've had to add them in the web portal but even then the games and plays may not show up (or they do but then vanish). Hopefully an update can help these bugs
