My Bus Tracker: Real time bus tracking app-Lincoln
No matter how precise the bus arrival estimation algorithm gets, many applications are still struggling with predicting bus arrival time. Although we might not be able to predict the exact arrival time, it is possible to monitor buses by using their powerful GPS signals. Therefore, we can assure the users that the current bus has not passed a certain location on its path. This is the main idea behind the current bus tracking application. It provides the users with the exact value of the bus distance to the user's marked location on the route. The user can set up an alarm for a bus stop along with a heads-up time and walking duration to the bus station. By considering the set-up gap time, once the bus arrives at the close proximity of the marked location, the application triggers a notification letting the user know about the upcoming bus.
This application provides the users with nice animations for the moving vehicles on the map and precise polygons representing routes on which the buses are operating. The app follows the material design convention and is easy to use.
Currently, this application monitors buses operating in the city of Lincoln (Startran), so those who live in Lincoln can use this application.

Great, fast app! Only drawback is that it uses a ton of data if you don't have the background data permission turned off. Developer responds quickly and is a great help!
I really loved this app..i have been using this app for more than 1 year now n its extremely helpful..esp for students who commute every day to University..i wanted to give this a 5🌟 since i was very happy to use this app..for the convenience and how easy it makes your life esp for students. I'm giving it a 3🌟since there is some issue with this app since 3-4 months..it doesn't work very well on mobile data..it gives the error saying-"unable to connect to the server" i hope developers can fix it
Perfect app! Using this, you can do all your works and in the same breath, track and catch the bus right on time. And in this long lasting freezing weather, it really can be life saving!
This was a very helpful application and I am glad that I downloaded this. I noticed that when the app doesn't show the buses the startran website also does not show the locations of the buses.
Uses a ton of battery even after I close the app, so I'm forced to go into device songs to force stop the app. Other than that it's great, but I hate how much battery it uses when not in use.
Tried this app quite some time ago and wasn't working that well, could have been my phone. But this is running quite slick/ and more detailed/ with more information than the other tracking apps I have used. Very cool and helpful!
Way better than the StatTran app! As long as getonboard is correct then this app makes it easier to track. Be aware this is only for Lincoln, NE for now!
It's a nice way to see where your bus is but some of the buses don't show up anymore
Unnecessarily difficult to understand and navigate around this app. especially when you don't have the time to figure it out
A few of the busses aren't showing up, but it's still the best there is.
the bus markers on the new update are way too large. previous ones were better.

Adding the new Downtown Trolley would be great. I use getonboard.lincoln.ne.gov for the Downtown Trolley update.

Frustrating
It worked great the first few times I used it but now it doesn't show any buses anywhere on the map which is frustrating. I've got a galaxy s9. Really wanted to like this app, hopefully updates fix it. Still hanging on.
The app i used forever is no longer working or available. This one did not have ads, which was a plus over the other option and I like the idea of alarms. btw, you spelled Arnold Heights incorrectly

Edit: it is working again and I love it! When this app functions properly, it is a god send! Thank you! Original: Stopped working completely, been using it for a long time and I have loved it immensely! In the last week it has stopped showing any buses at all though, so it's useless now!
